As soon as Ya Jindou finished speaking, the dagger slid down to Serena's ankle.
He exerted force on his wrist, and the extremely sharp dagger cut through the rope.
The rope tied to her feet suddenly loosened, and Serena suspected that her senses were wrong.
"Run. I'll watch you run. I want to see if you can run out of this room."
Ya Jindou played with the dagger in his hand, not worried that the sharp dagger would cut him.
The way he looked at Serena was as calm as a hunter looking at his prey that had fallen into a trap.
Serena did not run away immediately. She carefully observed Ya Jindou, trying to determine if what he said was true or if he was just messing with her.
"Cut off the rope on my hand too."
Serena probed.
"That won't do. If I open the window and jump down, wouldn't I have wasted my effort?"
Ya Jindou smiled and rejected Serena.
He did not seem to be angry at her excessive request.
There was no hurry.
