Kapitel 49: Back to the school
Monday
The weekend passes quickly and quietly. Takeshi and Eclipse walk through the school halls on their way to lunch as Maiman trails behind them in her wolf form.
"Hey! Guys! How was your weekend?" Nathan walks over to them as they stand in the lunch line to get their food.
"Oh it was good. Takeshi and I went and saw a movie," Eclipse looks over at him with a smile.
"That's good. What movie did you see?" He smiles back.
"It's a new movie called "The Night Long". It was really pretty interesting," Eclipse speaks as they walk over to a table in the lunchroom courtyard and sit down.
"Lucky! I really want to see it. It looks really good," Nathan laughs.
"We should've invited you then," Eclipse jokes as Takeshi looks around them.
"Is it ok if Ren comes and sits with us too? Seeing as I'm already sitting with you guys," Nathan glances at his phone.
"Yeah, sure," Eclipse nods before beginning to eat.
"Ok cool. She'll be here in a few, she had to talk to someone apparently," Nathan smiles before he begins to eat as well. After a few minutes pass, Ren walks into the courtyard and walks over to them. She sits next to Nathan quietly as she glances at Takeshi who sat across from her at the table, reading a book.
"Since when did you start reading books at lunch?" Eclipse looks over at him with confusion.
"Hm? Oh. It's a new, updated zoology book," Takeshi looks up at Eclipse before looking back at the book.
"Ok and…?" She studies him.
"I'm reading it," Takeshi laughs before leaning over and kissing Eclipse on the cheek.
"Dork," she rolls her eyes as she starts to blush. Ren looks at Eclipse and Takeshi quietly before continuing to eat her own lunch.
"So, what're your plans for tonight?" Nathan looks at Eclipse.
"I'm not really completely sure to be honest," she shrugs in response.
"Well maybe we could all meet up for a small study session seeing as we have a quiz on Wednesday," Nathan smiles.
"Sure! I don't see why not," Eclipse smiles back before looking at Takeshi. "Want to do that babe?"
"Do what?" Takeshi lifts his head from out of the book and looks at her a bit confused.
"Have a study group night thing tonight," Eclipse laughs.
"Sure," Takeshi says before burying his face back in the book.
"How about you Ren?" She looks at Ren who's just staring at her own plate.
"Hm? Oh um, sure," Ren slightly nods, glancing at Takeshi.
"Cool! So after school we'll meet at the library?" Nathan asks.
"Sounds great," Eclipse nods. Takeshi's phone suddenly starts ringing, forcing him to close the book and put it on the table. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and answers it.
"Hello?... oh… yes… ok… now?... got it… and, oh, ok… yes ma'am… ok…" He hangs up and starts to stand up as he puts his things back in his bag.
"Eclipse, I have to go," he looks at her.
"Wh…" she starts but stops when she feels her phone buzz in her own pocket.
"Ok, see you soon," she stands up and kisses his cheek before he and Maiman leave the table and start out of the courtyard.
"What was that about?" Nathan looks at Eclipse with a confused expression as she sits back down.
"His mom called. He forgot something at home and so she brought it here for him," she smiles in response as she pulls out her phone and reads a text she got from her mom, Ember.
"Oh, ok. I hope he comes later to the session," Nathan glances at the empty seat.
"I'm sure he will," Eclipse nods before realizing that Ren is staring at her. She turns to look back at Ren but Ren quickly looks away.
