Kapitel 72: Jealousy

"Give me one more chance, love. I will not let you down this time."

His thumbs grazed over the back of my hands as he held stared into my eyes intently. It was hard for me to tear my gaze away from his. I could see thousands of emotions flickering in his honey brown orbs. Not only were they bearing witness to his pleas, they were bold enough to support his words.

"Please, love. Just one more chance." He added, giving my hands a slight squeeze.

He refused to let my hands go even when I tried taking them back. One look at him was enough for me to know that there was no way he was going anywhere. Especially not without getting what he wanted. 

"Colen, look." I was finally able to gather the courage to speak. "Things are no longer the same as they were thirty years ago. Everything has gone through some transformation and change over time, including me. I am not the same girl you once knew."
