The young chef looked at the manager quizzically. Gu Xin Ye was an outsider and he did not know who she was. However, seeing that they appeared together, the chef figured that Gu Xin Ye should be someone important.

The manager turned to Gu Xin Ye while rubbing the space between his brows. "Something happened earlier. Chef Qin is now busy with the preparation of today's event." He had an apologetic look on his face. "Vice President Gu, I know that you are curious about the dessert preparation, but I suggest that you should not stay for too long in the pastry kitchen. Chef Qin's temper can be quite... bad."

Gu Xin Ye looked in the direction of the kitchen again.

She could not hear anything and the silence was a little eerie.

Gu Xin Ye had imagined that Qin Zhan would be shouting at the staff if he was in a bad mood. But, why was everything so quiet?
