Kapitel 26: CHAPTER 26: IT IS NOT A DATE, DATE

After I got a call from Zander, I walked straight to the bathroom for a quick shower. Opening my closet, I looked around and thinking what to wear for tonight's dinner. He did not mention where we will go and I did not even ask.
I forgot to ask because my mind was a mess after he asked me for dinner.
I know it is not a date, date but knowing he called me after two weeks.
No calls and no texts from him made me sad. I want to text him first but I was having a second thought about it for a while. There were circumstances that I almost dialed his number or even tried to text him first but I stopped in the middle of it.
I do not know what to say but so happy that he made the first move. I could not really believe it is happening. We are not teenagers or students in some school in our hometown that we were afraid to hang out just the two of us.
But now, I am glad he stills the Finn I know before. I finished up quickly, putting something a lady should do in her face. Yeah, I was not the same 16 years old back then.
I know how to do with my face now but now too much of it. Light makes up will do for this dinner with him. Little make up with is lipstick, face powder and eyeliner to match with my yellow gold layered style skirt and plain off-white scalloped blouse.
I grabbed my phone to see the text from Zander.
'I am already down here Sweet Pea, just take your time. It is still early.'
I smiled after I seen his text and put my phone inside my black sling bag with keys and money on it. I locked the door and double checked it before walked away from my door.

I saw Zander standing beside his car looking yummy with his attire.
'Gosh, all the girls in my dorm were turning their heads at him and even flirting with their smiles.'
He saw me as I stepped down walking towards him and he immediately stepped away from his car to meet me closer. There, his killer smiles again looking at me. My heart is definitely not in normal beating as I am looking at him too.
"Hello, gorgeous" he is now closer to me and the smile gosh the killer smile.
"Hi, to you too handsome" I said biting my lower lip as I checking out on him.
He shook his head then pinched my nose. "Stop teasing on me. Come on let get going."
"Hahaha... what? Lover boy, teased you?" I grinned. We walked together towards his car and he opened his passenger's door for me.
"Thank you handsome" he smiled as he helped me put the seatbelt on then walked around to the other side.
"So, where we are going Finn?" I asked as he closed his door and buckle his seatbelt.
I saw him turning the key to start the car. "It is a secret, baby." He smirked and focuses on his driving as we left the dorm.
ZANDER
I never tell her where we were going because it is a surprise for her. She hasn't been to the place I am sure of it. I think she will surely be going to love it.
It was not far from my working place but it is a well-known restaurant. I got a reservation two days ago after we signed the contract. And this was just formality for giving us this day 50 percent down payment for the big project. I never expecting that Shay would say yes tonight.
It is not a date, date but I still not sure why I wanted to spend it with her. I still want us to bond and getting closer than before. I do not want to take it fast because I still do not know her now. It has been years since we last saw each other. Everything has changed.
I parked my car into the basement of that building we were going in. She did not say another word regarding where we eat but I guess she saw the name.
I stepped away from my door and move to her side to assist her out. A very gentleman indeed, "Thank you Finn." She said smiling at me as she accepted my hand.
"Okay, beautiful, let's take a ride to the elevator." I said as she put her hand into my arm walking towards the elevator.
"I guess, I will not talk about it for now since you will not tell me where we going. I hope it can be mouth-watering foods they will offer." She pouted.
"You will definitely love it sweet pea, which I can assure you now." Squeezing her hand on me.
"Okay then, I cannot wait and I am starving." She smiled.
We reached the rooftop restaurant that everybody loves to eat there. It is fine cuisine and it will worth it for your reservation.
The elevator opened we stepped in, a waiter was standing by and guided us to our table after he asked my name.
I saw Shayla's eyes twinkling when we reached our table. "Oh my gosh! This is the best dinner I had in my entire life even I haven't tasted the foods but the view." She said exaggerating as she sat down. "This view is definitely unbelievable." She added and the waiter just smiled at her reaction.
"I know baby, you will really love it here. It gives us a little privacy even there are more tables but it is cozy." I said happily as I reached her hands. She nodded with her sweet smile. "Okay, now let's order because as you said earlier you are hungry."
"Okay, lover boy got it." She scanned the menu and gives her orders to the waiter and I said mine too. The waiter left and the two of us are now alone.
"Thank you again Finn for bringing me here and even if it is not this expensive, I will always appreciate wherever you take me." She whispered.
"I know sweet pea but I guess I just wanted to impress you a little since we were not teenagers." I smirked. "Besides, I want it to be something new to us. Please do not say further more just enjoy our night."
"Okay, okay I will not talk about it anymore and I will just enjoy this night." She giggled, raising her hands up for surrender.
