Kapitel 6: A Small Home of my Own.

After looking through my new personal articles, I had come to discover that I can't actually pull items from my storage or the shop from my phone.

Anything I want to claim will require me to take it from the Shinra Chest.

It's a wonderful piece of magical technology of unknown origins. Whatever I desire it will grant me for a price. Think of the Shinra Chest as a Fabricator.

I slip the Shinra Cell into my pocket and hop back into bed. As it is still very dark out, I can't really do anything.

...

The sunlight shines on my face causing me to stir. Morning had come at last. My eyes open and I stretch my still body to make waking up so much easier.

After taking care of my morning hygiene I returned to my room and kneel next to the box in contemplation.

"How do I go about transporting this heavy ass chest?" I mumble to myself. The chest is nearly my size as a small 5 years old. So it is for sure very heavy.

Metal > Wood.

No competition!

[The glowing green button below the screen will minimize the size of the chest so that transporting it will be more convenient.]

"That sounds very helpful!" I push the button and watch as the chest shrinks down I can carry in my pocket.

Humming happily, I pocket the chest and leave the room for breakfast. Greeting Makino and the guests I dig in with gusto.

After eating up I asked Makino, "Hey Makino, is there anywhere in the village I can stay?"

"Oh? You want to move out already and leave big sister all on her lonesome?" She asks teasingly causing me to fluster.

I shake my head, "N-nothing like that! I just feel that I will be okay on my on!"

"Hahaha!" She laughs at my stammer and said, "I'm just teasing you Sephy. I don't know if there are any places in the village, but you should ask the mayor."

"I see. Thanks Makino." I smile in gratitude. She really is an angel.

Makino smiles and ruffles my hair affectionately, "No problem kiddo. Remember to come by when your hungry or lonely. My door's always open. Plus I want you to learn to read and write along with the hyper little rascal Luffy."

"I can read and write!" I declare, "I am even good at math!"

"What's 130×8?"

Without hesitation I immediately answered, " 1,040!"

"Very good! Not bad for a 5 years old!" Makino praises me happily, clapping her hands. "Our little Foosha has a little genius."

Nope! Just a cheater with past life knowledge and memories of a highly intelligent super soldier.

I'm such a cheat!

...

I eventually met with the mayor and after a lenthy debate on whether me, a mere 5 years old, is capable of living and taking care of myself. He relented and agreed to show me an old abandoned lodge near the edge of the village overlooking the sea.

According to the mayor the original occupant left it behind to sail the seas years ago and never returned.

No one else wanted to take it and it has been building up clutter for at least 3 years.

When I saw the lodge I could not agree more.

The grass and weeds have reclaimed the plot of land, vines crawling on the walls. Windows cracked or shattered.

"This is gonna need some work." I say looking at the damage done.

Woop Slap nods nis head and said, "You got that right boy. This is the only place free and if you are serious about living on your own than you need to clean it up."

"Fair enough." I agree.

"I will have a some replacement furniture and windows brought by either some time tonight or tomorrow." The mayor says.

I nod.

"Thanks."

After the mayor left I began the long process of cleaning up my own personal residence. But to get into the damn place I need to clear a path!

I spent the remainder of the day pulling up weeds, cutting down vines, and mowing away the high grass. It was tough, but I felt it was a good and healthy work out for my body.

Of course I did not forget to rest often so as to not tucker myself out too much.

By the time the sun had set. The yard looked as good as new. But looking at the exterior walls and rough, I knew I had to replace quite a bit.

As promised the materials were brought when I called it quits for the night. The guys were impressed with how much I did.

Never question a little monster with two lives worth of experiences. I have endless patience and persistence!

I went back to Partys Bar to eat, clean up, and sleep so that I can continue cleaning out my cottage.

...

The next morning after breakfast and my morning rituals. I returned to my lodge and finally took a step inside.

"Well, this isn't as bad as I thought." I joked as I come into lodge that is covered in dust, cobwebs, rotted furniture, and... Are those bats I see?

Knowing I'm in for the long haul, I rolled up my sleeves and get to work.

First I drag out the old furniture and appliances into a big pile outside. There was a bed, some dressers, dishes, sofas, a desk, and other assortments. The pile was stacked way higher than my own tiny body.

The next thing I did was start sweeping out the dust, which also scared the bats away. This isn't their season anyways!

From the outside it loomed like some smoke billowing from a fire, but is in reality me dusting everything out. I even had to come outside the breathe a few times.

That night I hacked up a lung full of dust!

A few days later my renovation was complete!

Gone was the old nature conquered dilapidated shack. Now stands the perfect lodge for the soon to be training 5 years old hermit!

I painted the walls sky blue and the roof white to look like the sky. It is perfect!

A living room/dining room, connecting kitchen, two doors leading off to a bathroom and a bedroom. All furnitured courtesy of Mayor Woop Slap!

Everything I will need to live on my own. For food and my other needs, it will rely own my own resources.

"Tomorrow I can start playing around in earnest."
