Kapitel 43: Trial

Trials are something every school participates in unless they are a low-tier school. It's not uncommon for fourth years to refuse to participate in there last battle since the school normally already has someone in mind to replace them so there replacement will battle and then the fourth year can try and give them tips and help them out. We didn't have a replacement though because we figured we could just move Tony into the position and then maybe bring a freshman in as a 10 and have them as the replacement. None of us were thrilled about bringing someone new to our group as we are all super close and don't feel the need to bring in someone new for no real reason. Now maybe because of that I was about to fight my first trial battle. Technically wasn't my first since I had them back in my low-tier school but it wasn't anything big and we didn't have abilities it was all hand to hand combat. I also was stronger than everyone in my school so I rarely had to battle even though I was the ace. Royals also weren't a big thing and neither were trials we all had to focus more on sports and education as that was going to be our only real way into a different district with higher tiers or a way to be able to actually afford anything nice in our own district. Therefore trial battles had become pointless to us and they were usually only used to decide who were the strongest. Now I was about to fight in a real trial battle, in a place we're trial battles actually meant something to school and the people fighting them. I had seen Hunter on the phone while I was practicing and I hope that he contacted John and my uncle. I just hook one of them answered and gets here in time for if things go wrong because I'm honestly not sure that the won't, I can control using one of abilities at once but during this battle they won't be going easy on me or not trying to hurt me like all my other trainings fights. I need to be able to fight back and win. To make all of them proud of me, they excepted me with very little in return and have looked out for me. It only seems fair for me to be able to do something for them in return. The other schools car pulled up on the other side of the field. The field was like an arena almost. There are walls that are made out of some kind of plastic on every side, the seats on each side are also made out of the same material. They made it this way since there are metal benders and if everything was metal it would be an unfair advantage. There was a stream but it's to far away if your ability is to control water you need to be able to pull it from the ground and areas around you that have trapped water from being cleaned or from rain. I don't know who I'm facing or what his or hers ability is. They are the only school that beat us in trials our first year though, which is all the more reason to want to beat them and be able to claim we are the number one school. It's also why we all assumed the Joker would want to participate, since they beat him last year he hadn't stopped talking about how he was going to win the next time we faced them. That was his goal for his fourth and final year in high school before he graduated and went off to wherever his placement for his job is. Which made it all the more of a surprise when he said he was only going to watch. There was two girls out of the 6 of them who came out of the car. One of the girls looked older and was probably a senior and was there to watch just as our Joker was. Normally only 5 people are on each side you can have more then 5 on each side though but only 5 can participate and it's the royals who are designated to compete before the match starts, the other side won't know what ones though. You don't know who is competing until they are on the field making it so you can't prepare to fight your opponent or know there moves unless you have battled against them before. Making it so the 10 or Spade can always substitute any of the starting meme we especially if that member already knows they will lose and that one of the other would have a better chance. They didn't appear to bring a substitute or maybe that's who one of the 6 people who exited were and I didn't realize it right away. It didn't matter though they went and took there seats and so did we. We sent the blu flag up and they sent the red. That meant we were ready and to send your first on the field when the gold or black flag went up that would meant that the battle was over and one side had conceded and the match is over.
