Half a year after the defeat of Diablo :
Selina "Dad? Are we really going to see them?" she asks sweetly.
Reima nods, "Of course, I said we would so we will." he says glancing behind him at everyone nearby.
The group currently gathered consisted of Reima, Selina, Tyrael, Quennie, Ciri, Quelaag, Solaire, Nerissa, and Yukari. As this was to be the first expedition into Tyraels homeworld, Reima elected to have as small a group as possible... Though, everyone seems to have got the notion that this would be a holiday trip... He couldn't fault them as he was taking them to a place literally called "Heaven".
It'd taken a couple more months than he'd expected to finally find the place, another month after that to triangulate which of the four subworlds he actually wanted to enter. There was the mortal world Sanctuary, the demon realm Hell, Angel realm Heaven, and the last one he could only refer to as "The void"... It more or less resembled space, with the exception of the fact that time appeared to move more slowly within it.
Upon further investigation, Tyrael had told him that the void was home to those that the Angels wished gone, but not destroyed. The mother of the Nephalim, Lilith, is one example.
Reima briefly considered entering the void just to speak to Lilith and see if she was worth simply destroying, it'd be annoying to his plans if there was a demon run amock, even if demons were basically going extinct with their leaders all dead.
Quennie "Why didn't Barnock and Mathias want to come?" she questions, the two men electing to stay well away from their home.
Tyrael "It is a matter of principle, they didn't wish to return and will stick to that conviction, I understand their reasoning and am not going to question their choice." he says.
Reima nods, "I doubt I could get Mathias away from Leah even if I wanted to, he seems intent on spending every moment helping her... Apparently she's able to form sentences again."
Tyrael smiles, "Its good to hear she's recovering, it is my own error that allowed everything in the first place. Once she is fully recovered I'll visit and apologise."
Selina "Dad! Let's go see the Angels already!" she chirps, becoming bored at waiting for them to leave, Reima smriks due to how much the situation resembled waiting at an airport.
Solaire gives a thumbs up, "I agree, there's no time like the present, you can continue your discussions after we've visited!"
Reima shakes his head, "You only want to go because it's literally called the "Land of Eternal Sunlight"... To be honest, I'm suspicious that there won't even be a sun there for you to praise."
Solaire "If there's no sun, what creates the light my friend?" he questions.
Reima "Magic? It'd be a better explanation than for a star to be constantly held in place in relation to the realm."
Tyrael shrugs, "Is it strange? I never noticed, maybe I'm biased but I thought the sun in the human world was peculiar, bathing the world in darkness only to destroy it come morn."
Yukari seems to be getting restless too, she's in her twenties now but has not filled out as much as her other friends like Moka, becoming tall but with rather lacking "sizes"... She'd become one of Harry's best apprentices during her time in Ichor, her races similarity to witches and wizards was almost uncanny, allowing her to rapidly learn from him. "Let's go! I haven't had a holiday in years!" she exclaims, getting nods from a few others nearby.
Reima raises his brows at her, "Nerissa took you to Toussaint a few months ago!"
Yukari "Yeah? Well, I hate wine!"
Reima shakes his head, "Even without the wine, Toussaint will probably be more pleasant than Heaven, Angels don't need to eat, sleep, or anything else that mortals do. We'll probably have to sleep in heavily enchanted tents while we're there and use our own supplies."
Ciri looks to Nerissa, "Are you not going to take Vienna?"
Nerissa shakes her head, "No, Moka didn't think Heaven would be good for her skin... I think she's right."
Quennie nods, "Even with your resistance I think a young vampire would find it terribly uncomfortable there."
Reima "Alright everyone... I think we're all ready to go... Do not forget your luggage or it'll be left behind, do not stray away from the group as I suspect the Angel would have rather violent reactions to our appearing out of the nowhere... Also, let me and Tyrael do the talking, I'd rather not have to destroy Heaven, ok?"
He receives nods in agreement and starts opening the portal to the Angel's realm, thrusting his hands into the air and creating a spatial rift with which he tears open forcefully. Light immediately blinds the group, the port to Heaven was like a flashlight pointed in their direction, blinding most of them from seeing what's on the other side...
For those that were able, breaths of wonder and awe were released... Reima was the first to step in, having finally mastered a way of keeping portal open without his personal intervention, a smirk found its way onto his face as he imagined the reactions of the Angels when they saw them all, wondering if they'd be able to sense that he was technically now the Prime Evil.
Yeah, we starting on the Epilogue, just trying to round everything off before the next fanfic starts. Hope you guys enjoy the chap, if I missed anything please let me know.
