Kapitel 2: Chapter Two
The next day I woke up at 7:00 a.m. I took a shower then got dressed in skinny jeans, a tank top and black sneakers. I brushed through my white-blonde straight hair and bangs then went to make some breakfast. I was just about to sit down when my cellphone rang.
I answered without bothering to check who it was "Hello?"
It was my Mom "Goodmorning sweetie! How are you doing? You're Dad and I miss you so much!"
My Mom called every Sunday to check up on me which is mainly why I don't check who it is because I know it's going to be her.
"I'm good Mom how are you and Dad doing?"
"Good too, did I mention we miss you?"
I laughed "I miss you both too."
"What are your plans for the day sweetheart?"
"I'm going to hang out with Kyle Scott and his friends."
It took a while for Mom to realize what I just said then she ended up yelling causing me to wince "Kyle's there? Oh sweetie, how is he?"
"He's great Mom, Mr. and Mrs. Scott are in Paris and he's going to school with me."
"That's the best news I've heard from you since you moved over there. I'm so happy for you, sweetie!"
"Thanks Mom say 'hi' to Dad for me, I gotta go."
"I will, have fun sweetie we love you."
"I love you both too Mom, bye."
"Bye sweetheart."
We hung up and I finally started eating my breakfast which was waffles with syrup and my morning coffee. I finished fifteen minutes later then walked to the living room where I sat down with my second cup of coffee to watch a bit of TV for the remaining hour and a half left before I had to leave. I dearly loved my Parents, but sometimes them worrying about me was overwhelming. I'd rather they just call once a month not once every week.
By the time it was 9:30 a.m. I got in my mint green Nissan and drove to the mall. Although I was excited to finally be hanging out with fellow college students I was nervous too. I found a close parking space to the front entrance. Turning off my car I got off, locked it then walked towards the entrance where sure enough Kyle, a girl close to his height and a good-looking guy were talking while waiting for me.
Kyle spotted me first and he smiled and waved. I walked closer to them until I was standing right in front of them. Kyle gave me a one-armed hug then made the introductions.
"So Sis, this is my girlfriend Brenda Ramos and her older brother, my best friend Justin Ramos. Brenda is your age and Justin is my age."
I smiled at them "Hi, it's nice to meet you both."
Kyle's nicknames for me had always been 'Sis' and mine had always been 'Bro' for him.
Brenda checked me out and then she surprised me by hugging me with a huge smile on her face "It's more than nice to meet you Lily. Kyle's told me so much about you. I've been wanting to meet my boyfriend's younger sister for a long time. I know you're not related by blood, but he considers you like as if you were both really related."
"I understand, he's like the older brother I never had too."
She released me and said "You're so pretty."
"Thank you, you are too."
Brenda had dark brown curly hair and green-brown eyes.
Justin just extended his hand to me so I slipped my hand in his, he shook it then released it and walked away. I was speechless not because he hadn't said anything to me, but because when our hands touched my heart had accelerated. I looked over at Kyle, but he was smiling at Brenda who was saying something to him. We walked inside following behind Justin who had his hands slipped inside his front jeans' pockets.
Justin was handsome though since he had black thick curls that I could tell were natural and he had dark blue eyes. As for Kyle he has golden-blonde straight shaggy hair. I have green-blue eyes since my Mom has blue eyes and my Dad has green eyes. So I inherited both their eye color mixed together.
We ended up walking around the whole mall for at least two hours while Brenda asked me questions about myself and I asked her questions about herself. Kyle and Justin were walking behind us having their own conversation.
Brenda probably noticed that I kept glancing back at the guys since she said "I'm sorry about my brother, he's just going through a tough breakup right now. His previous girlfriend, Monica a girl I never approved of for him cheated on him. So he's just trying to get over it."
I nodded and crossed my arms "I've been there too in high school two years ago, he cheated on me with my one of my cousin's because apparently he didn't know we were related. Turns out that he asked us both out on the same day then we found out and we both dumped him on the same day also. It's not the same between my cousin and I though we don't talk or see each other anymore. It took me six months to get over my ex, but it was easier when he moved out of the state."
Brenda gave me a sympathetic smile "I'm sorry you had to go through that, maybe you can help my brother get over his ex."
I arched my left eyebrow "Help him how?"
"By dating him obviously."
I shook my head "I can't I'm not ready for another relationship yet."
"Why? He's not going to cheat on you like your ex did. My brother is loyal and committed he'll love you forever."
I sighed "I don't want to be his rebound, he just needs time right now. So just be there for him and keep including him when you hang out with friends it'll help him out a lot."
Brenda nodded "Okay, but I'm determined to see you two get together. I like you already and even though I don't really know you I only know what Kyle told me about you, I approve of you for my brother."
I smiled, but didn't say anything. Maybe Justin and I could date in the near future as in a year or two. I mean I would totally give that handsome guy a chance, but at the same time I didn't want to get my heart broken for the third time. So whatever the future holds I guess I'll find out later.
