I open my eyes and take in the idyllic scenery around me.
Lush green grass on top of hills with occasional ponds here and there and some trees standing alone or in small groups.
The bright blue sky was only interrupted by some fluffy white clouds and the golden burning celestial body which is the sun.
In the distance I could make out a thick forest made up from big dark trees whose leaves form a blanket, blocking out the sun.
It was then that I notice something at the bottom of my field of vision.
Nine light grey squares in a row with a tenth one a short distance to the left.
Above the bar made from squares is a thinner, light greenish bar with rounded edges and atop the right side of this thinner bar are ten symbols resembling a leg of meat while on the left side are ten red hearts.
The all too familiar sight immediately brought another question with it.
'Why do I have the Minecraft interface? And does this mean I also have the inventory?'
I just finished my trail of thoughts when a light grey box with four rows of nine squares appears in front of me.
On the left side above the four rows are four more squares, but they have each something drawn inside of it.
Next to the four vertically placed squares is black window in which a person stands.
A woman with snow white hair which falls down on the right side of her face covering one of her eyes while on the left side it is braided backwards.
She has crimson-colored eyes with black eyelashes, her face is smoot but has a certain firmness to it and her lips are rather thin.
Currently she has a pair of safety googles pushed up her forehead and a black and grey checkered scarf around her neck which covers the lower half of her face.
A dark red coat with high collar and black seam covers her upper body and hangs down all the way to the back of her knees.
The coat was open at the front and reveals a white frilly blouse and a brown leather strap which goes over her stomach and is connected to two other straps that go over her shoulder and down to her black pants where they connect with her black leather belt.
Two knee high boots, black in color with grey accents, cover her feet and legs and on each of her hands she wears black and grey fingerless leather gloves.
As a whole she gives of a rather steampunk like feeling.
Moving on, on the right bottom side next to the black window in which the woman stood is another square with a drawing inside.
Future to the right is a field made up from four squares in a two by two shape and an arrow pointing right where another single square rests.
Underneath the two by two square is an icon in the shape of a book.
'Welp, this looks identical to the standard Minecraft interface. From the hotbar to the inventory slots, equipment slots and crafting space. Does this mean I somehow ended up in Minecraft?'
I ponder for a bit before giving up to try and make sense of it, maybe its just a dream, maybe it is real, does it really matter?
With those thoughts I close the inventory and stretch my limbs and finally notice that Im wearing not my old clothes.
'Hmm?' Inspecting my body for a short moment a wryly smile appears on my face.
'Looks like my appearance has also changed.' I then remember the woman I saw in the window and realize that that is how I now looked.
Reaching up with a hand wearing a black and grey fingerless leather glove, I touch the scarf covering the lower half of my face before moving on and brushing against the white silky hair that falls over my right eye.
Surprisingly even with the hair in front of my right eye, my field of vision wasn't reduced at all.
It was a bit strange but in the end I didn't bother with it and take a step in the direction of the nearest tree.
Wood was the first step when playing Minecraft, I may not be a professional Minecraft player, but I do have my experience as a casual player, so I don't worry to much about my chances of survival in this world.
That is if this really is a Minecraft world and not some sh**ty crossover.
Immediately after taking my first step, I almost trip and fall face first on the ground.
Luckily, I managed to catch myself before that happened, but it did cause me to realize that something was off.
Trying again but this time more careful I managed without a problem.
Pondering about what could have been the reason for my previous blunder I arrive in front of the tree and a sudden realization came to me as I looked up the tree.
'My size changed!'
Only mere centimeters away from my head are the thick and lush leaves of the tree.
In standard Minecraft one's avatar is two blocks high which translates to two meters as a normal block is one cubic meter.
My precious size was around 1,70m so with an increase of almost 30cm it is no wonder that I first got to familiarize myself with my new height.
