Kapitel 126: Chapter 125: Crash Landing

"AHHHHH!"

'So this is ancient Mesopotamia...' Ignoring the cries of his friends, Zenkichi excitedly looked at the land below him with wide eyes. 'I should take a picture.'

Click!

The image of ancient Mesopotamia captured in that moment would be a sight to behold—which was mostly earth, ruined buildings, grass and mountains all around, but there was an ancient sort of feeling when looking at it that no modern camera could quite capture. Zenkichi smiled to himself as he stashed his camera away, one of the many random stuff he got through the daily lottery.

"Ooh! So this is how this world's ancient Mesopotamia looks like." Brunhilde casually commented, looking nonchalantly as she continues to fall towards the ground. She frowned, clicking her tongue. "Gotta say though, disappointing. It looks exactly the same as I remember it!"

"Master, I sense some monsters roaming around."

Altria narrowed her eyes, enhancing her perception to scan the landscape more closely.

"Are they strong?" Zenkichi asked.

"Hm. Not really. Even a low-class servant can handle them," Altria replied, her gaze focused on the surroundings.

"Hm."

'They look like lions,' Zenkichi's eyes narrowed slightly as he used Reinforcement in his eyes. For the last few days, he's been training under legendary Heroes and learning how to properly use his powers. He had come to realize during his battles in the Camelot Singularity, he hadn't use all of his abilities optimally, opting to brute force his way and winged it, being used to mostly overpower his enemies.

For someone who arrogantly proclaims himself a God, he sure as hell didn't understand how to use his powers.

Though it was also because he couldn't go all out using them in his previous world, not only because it would garner attention and cause chaos, but also because he didn't have a sparring partner.

The only worthy sparring he could think of was Medaka... but he immediately scrapped it off. What happens if her abnormal lets her copy his divinity and demonic powers? In the previous timeline, she managed to copy The Iron! The thought of a Demon God Medaka... sent a shiver down his spine.

"Why are you all acting so nonchalant about all this?! WE'RE FALLING!" Gudako screamed, breaking Zenkichi's train of thought. He glanced over at her, seeing her steadily hugged Mash's waist from behind, the latter preparing to use her Noble Phantasm to cushion their fast fall.

"I can tank a missile." Zenkichi casually replied.

"I can leach off of him, his skill covers me as well." Brunhilde added, transforming into her Völundr form.

"...I have a horse that can fly," Altria replied, her tone calm and composed as she prepared to summon her trusty steed, Dun Stallion.

"Wait, let us ride with-"

"Landing imminent! Deploying Noble Phantasm!"

Swish!

Mash's cross-shield let out a bright glow, creating a sort of magical circle before it.

"Reveal yourself! Lord Camelot!"

And right below them, a structure resembling a fortress began materializing, its sturdy white walls gave off an aura of protection and stability, unfortunately however, it was summoned incomplete and it caused both Gudako and Mash to pass through it as if it were a mirage.

However, it still managed to provide a partial barrier, slowing their fall just enough to prevent any serious injuries upon impact with the ground below.

Boom!

Both of them crashed, but thankfully without any injuries.

"Senpai... I mean, Master! Are you hurt?"

"Uuuh, no, I'm fine. Nice save there, Mash-"

Just as they were regaining their footing, a second powerful loud crash echoed through the air, dust and debris swirling around them as it dispersed to reveal Zenkichi, completely fine, and doing a superhero landing pose.

"No. Freaking. Way." Gudako muttered as she helped Mash up to her feet, staring at Zenkichi.

He slowly stood up, and Altria appeared by his side with her horse.

Zenkichi grinned as they walked up towards Gudako and Mash, in slow motion.

"Nailed it."

"...Totally. 10/10!" Gudako exclaimed, unable to contain her amazement at Zenkichi's dramatic entrance. "I always wanted to do that myself!"

Mash couldn't help but smile at the sight of her companions, relieved that they had all emerged from the fall unscathed. "I'm glad to see everyone's okay."

Brunhilde chuckled softly. "Looks like we're off to an eventful start in Mesopotamia."

Altria glanced around, her gaze settling on the ruined structures around them. ".... I thought we were supposed to be transported to the biggest city in this era, Uruk?"

"Was the city destroyed?" Mash asked, concerned and sad.

"Doctor? Da Vinci? Are you there?" Gudako asked through their communicator.

"Mm. Loud and clear," Romani responded, slightly static. "You guys are not in Uruk. It seems of what had happened, according to Da Vinci, is that there was a forced deportation caused by a bounded field around the city of Uruk; probably to ward off attacks."

"So, we were bounced off of the city's defense mechanism?" Gudako frowned.

"Yeah. I have no doubt that some sort of danger is approaching Uruk right now," Romani replied. "Given the circumstances, it's crucial that you locate Uruk as soon as possible and assess the situation. Be on high alert for any potential threats or abnormalities in this area. I'll continue monitoring from Chaldea and provide support as needed."

Gudako nodded, her expression serious. "Understood. We'll make our way to Uruk and find out what's going on. Keep us updated on any developments."

"Uh, Doc, can you at least provide us of our current location and the general map of our area?" Zenkichi requested, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings.

"Of course," Romani replied. "Let me pull up the data-...."

There was a moment of silence.

"Doctor?"

"Ah, shit. Did we lose the connection?" Zenkichi clicked his tongue and sighed. "Great. Looks like we're on our own for now," he said, shaking his head. "Guess we'll have to rely on our instincts and luck."

Altria nodded in agreement. "Indeed. Let's proceed cautiously."

Zenkichi turned towards Brunhilde, "Brunhilde, do you have any clue-"

"Nope." Brunhilde interrupted with a casual shrug. "I might be highly knowledgeable in world history, specifically in my world, but even I don't remember much about this place. It's a bit outside my area of expertise, you know?" she admitted.

"Well then, should we get out of this city first?" Gudako asked, and everyone nodded in agreement.

"But first, we have to deal with some pesky flies."

Zenkichi turned his head to find several, lion-like monsters with sharp sabertooth teeth heading towards them with ferocious growls. "Looks like we've got company," he blankly remarked.

Brunhilde reverted back to her human form and said, "Is anyone going to do it? If not, then let me do it. That crazy bitch, which is still weird to say considering that she's me, had been trying to kill me for the last few days. I need to vent out my frustrations." clenching her hands.

Zenkichi and the others glanced at each other and shrugged.

"Sure, go nuts. Just don't tire yourself out, we still have to go to our destination." Zenkichi replied with a nod.

Brunhilde nodded back with a grin. "Don't worry. This won't take long," as soon as she said that, four glowing daggers came out of her sub-space, green electricity emanated from them as she twirled them expertly in her hands.

With a cool and composed look, she levitated the daggers into the air before her, with a crackle of magical energy as they rapidly whirled around. Clenching her fist, Brunhilde let out a yell as she started punching at the daggers, launching them at the approaching lion-like monsters with speed and precision. The daggers sailed through the air, trailing arcs of crackling energy as they closed in on their targets.

The monsters growled and snarled as they tried to dodge the incoming projectiles, but Brunhilde's aim was true. One by one, the daggers struck their marks, piercing through the creatures' tough hides with ease.

The daggers took out more than half of the monsters, and with only the desire to kill and destroy, the monsters unhesitatingly charged forward with more ferocity.

"Hmph. I'm not done yet!" Brunhilde declared with a smile, her eyes dancing with excitement as she wielded Gram, its emerald blade gleaming in the sunlight. With a swift motion, she lunged forward, engaging the remaining monsters in close combat, the demonic sword easily cutting through their ranks with each precise strike.

Zenkichi and the others watched her fight closely, whilst looking around for anything suspicious.

"Y'know, as much as Brunhilde hates to admit it, but she and Brynhildr really do have something in common." Zenkichi said.

"... I think I know what you're talking about," Gudako wryly smiled.

"What do they have in common, Hitoyoshi-san?" Mash asked.

Zenkichi rubbed the back of his head, "Their shared love for battle. It's like they both thrive in the heat of combat, unsurprising, they're Valkyries after all." he explained, his eyes never leaving Brunhilde as she continued to fight with unrivaled skill and determination.

"Ah, I see," Mash nodded in understanding, her gaze following Brunhilde's movements with admiration.

Altria observed the battle with a thoughtful expression. "As expected of a Valkyrie, her skills in combat are truly remarkable," she remarked, her tone respectful.

Meanwhile, Brunhilde's strikes were swift and precise, her movements a dance of deadly elegance as she dispatched the remaining monsters with ease. Each swing of her sword seemed almost effortless, yet devastating in its effectiveness.

After a few more moments of intense combat, the last of the lion-like creatures fell to the ground, defeated. Brunhilde stood amidst the aftermath, her chest heaving slightly as she caught her breath, a satisfied smile playing on her lips.

"Well done, Brunhilde," Zenkichi praised, offering her a bottle of water.

Brunhilde grinned, accepting the beverage. "Thanks, Zenkichi. Man, I haven't fought monsters like that for centuries." she replied, looking down at her hand.

"Fighting against that dark knight in the Holy City made me realize of how rusty I have become. Not surprising, considering that my world was "peaceful" for a time. From a Goddess of War to a office worker of chaperoning the dead... And what do you know, it only took a boy that can travel worlds and an alternate version of me to whip me back to shape." Brunhilde chuckled softly, taking a swig of water.

Zenkichi chuckled softly, nodding in understanding. "Sometimes, life has a funny way of reminding us of who we truly are, especially when we least expect it."

Gudako approached him with a serious expression and said, "Zenkichi. I think we should get moving. Judging by the state this place is and the demonic beasts roaming around, I don't think this was some old city lay to ruins. I think the Demonic Beasts attacked it."

Zenkichi nodded, his expression turning serious as well. "You're right, Gudako. We can't afford to linger here any longer than necessary. Let's find our way to Uruk and assess the situation there-"

"....Oh no!"

Altria turned her head, her gaze focused and determined. "Hm? I think I heard something. No, something's coming. This aura..." she widened her eyes and she turned towards her Master, "Master, get down!"

"I'm going to hit them!" A female voice cried out from above.

"Huh? What-" As Zenkichi looked up, his eyes widened to see a gorgeous ass was coming towards him.

'Dayum!' He thought before the ass collided at him, but thanks to his incredible physique, he didn't get knocked over. Instead, he stumbled back a step, catching his balance just in time as he raised his arms to catch the owner of the wonderful rear before they hit the ground.

As he lowered his arms, he found himself face to face with a stunning young woman with flowing long black hair tied into twin tails with two black ribbons and vibrant red eyes. On top of her head is a black and gold tiara, along with a golden neck brace and matching "O" shaped earrings. Lastly, she's wearing very revealing clothing.

'This face...' Zenkichi stared at her, stunned.

"Y-You..." The young woman stammered, stunned. "Who are you?! And who gave you permission to touch me?! Let go of me!"
