Kapitel 57: Chapter 14 When adversity comes, receive it favorably.

Deep in the mountains in Sheng kingdom, birds in the area had earlier flapped their wings and escaped the area. Even the brave predators had cleared the area when they felt something amiss.
The leaves of the ground rustled and swirled, creating a small tornado of leaves, hiding a shadow within. The peaceful forest with the pine cone fragrance soon gave off a threatening air of dark intentions.
Floating above the trees, were men and women garbed in soft grey clothing that flitted in the wind like wisps of smoke.
"Mole demon, just come out of hiding hole already." One of the women in silver embroidered waves spoke out serenely.
"Hey hey! We bear no grudges, why are you provoking me?" The hoarse voice came from the leaves that grown into a hill.
"You had stolen maidens from the Spring Valley Town and killed those poor unfortunate women..."
"Wha...? What maidens? Killed?" The demon stuttered in confusion as if he just woke up from his slumber and found himself in an unknown situation.
"Did we get the right demon?" One of the junior TianDao disciples whispered.
"Shush! This is part of the demon's tricks." The other disciple whispered back but his words lacked of conviction, unsure himself whether the intel was correct.
"For the sake of lives of the people and revenge for those women you killed, we, the TianDao Sect, will rid evil and kill you," The same woman recited and continued as if she was not interrupted.
"Wait! Wait! Don't attack! Let's talk first, blades have no eyes. Everything can be discussed," the demon shook himself awake. He was indeed sleeping earlier before these mortals...oh, they are not mere mortals but those annoying cultivators. "Those maidens you mentioned...I can explain." The leaves bobbed around.
"Wait why am I explaining myself..." Realization dawned on the demon and he quickly grabbed something to put on. "This must be the works of those witches. No warning again." The demon grumbled under his breath before changing his tone to the atypical devilish demon.
"Those women deserved it! They lured me with their wiles by acting like blushing maidens. You... females of TianDao sect, I heard that your JiaoZhu only accepts pure untainted disciples. Hehehe if any of you willingly become my bride, I will change my ways and will show mercy by slowly doting on each of you. Females only...," The demon leeringly said, "well unless, the men are young beauties, I will generous by 'reluctantly' accept to my harem to serve me too."
Th demon was still hidden but his words had enraged and embarrassed the disciples.
"You dare!"
"Pei!"
"Show yourself and die by my blade!"
"Evil creature!"
As expected, the younger junior disciples exploded in anger, while the senior disciples remained impassive. This was not the first demon taunting they had faced.
"Junior brother and sisters, don't waste your breath on such a creature. Demon, prepare to die!" The senior brother raised his swords followed by the rest of the disciples and started to swing the wind attack.
"Puny humans! Overestimating yourselves! Don't cry when I kill all your men and slowly play with each of you girls!" The demon said menacingly, promising them a hard battle.
The leaves that were whirling around, suddenly stopped and scattered around and whipped through the air. Hundred of leaves flew up fast towards the disciples of TianDao sect like thin lethal blade projectiles.
"Be careful! There's poison!" One of the younger disciples sounded daunted when one of their sharp leaves cut his cheek, when he tried to evade the leaves. His cheek throbbed in pain, and when his hand reached to touch, there was pus bubbling, causing him to panic and fumbling in the air.
"Oh fun! We got ourselves here a level 3 demon!" Another senior disciple looked excited while she darted around to evade the leaves.
The disciples were taught in their lessons to differentiate demons in different levels.
Low level demons, level 1 to 4, were the main culprits of merry making demons in Earth Realm. There were many of them and they liked to bully the weak. Level 5 to 6 were strong demons with strong magic that could devastate towns.
"A mere level 3, this shouldn't take long," the first senior disciple who had silver embroidered waves, easily blocked the incoming leaf blades by creating a force shield on herself to repel the any weapon attack.
The other junior disciples saw their senior sister and quickly stopped their movement to focus on making their force field. It was inevitable but to let some leaves cut into them while they successfully willed their force fields.
A black spiky demon leapt out of the leaves and flew towards those junior who were still struggling to create their force fields. The demon's movement was very swift and merciless, yanking the junior disciples down.
"Focus!" The senior disciple cried out, displeased with the juniors and trainees. Those who had just managed to erect their force field had their concentration broken by the their fellow disciples' cries from their fell to the ground.
"Formation!" Really, these kids were not ready to face a demon. The senior disciples flanked the junior and led the group forth like a spear formation. Soon a battle between a demon and disciples of TianDao erupted, with many senior and junior disciples ganging up against the overly large black spiky demon.
