Kapitel 11: After The Encounter

The radio was switched on and it started speaking.

"….and so today we'll discuss about the radiation holes. What exactly are these radiation holes? How were they formed? And how come they don't disappear?....When the Warring Era ended, some places, because of the accumulation or some other reasons, became permanently radioactive."

"Although this is a harmful thing, in one way this has been turned into a blessing. Because these places were left mostly untouched during the Civil Uprising Era, the era in which all kinds of technology degraded, and when many traces of history was destroyed. Thus, these radiation holes still retain glimpses of history and ancient technology. In fact, many of the technology available today comes from these so-called radiation holes."

"Of course, how can there be only gains and no loss? Let me tell you, the Peacekeeping Force that tries to explore these radiation holes have a fatality rate of about 90%! Yes, you heard it right, it is 90%!"

"Oh my!" Mrs. Purple gasped as she heard this. Suddenly a hand arrived and tapped her on her shoulder. When she turned her head, she saw Little Fairy looking at her with furrowed expression. She put her small index finger on her lips, and said.

"(sfx) Shush!"

Param and Mrs. Purple looked at each other and were dumbfounded as they saw her listening to the radio with rapt attention.

Did this little brat understand what the RJ was even speaking about?!

But whether she understood or not, Little Fairy and the other snotty brats always listened to the radio with fascination, without missing a single word!

* Sometime after the encounter on the tram between the middle aged person and the Anti-Martial Inspector.

The middle aged person passed through many turns and alleys until he felt like he was not being followed by the Anti-Martial Inspector. The dart had been pulled and thrown away quite a time ago, and the anesthetic effect was starting to take place.

Usually it wouldn't be a problem and with his Aura, he could easily dispel it. However the Anti-Martial Organization was really vicious, and was specially aimed against those who could use Aura.

He wasted no time and quickly jotted some lines on a piece of paper. Searching for a telegram office, he handed a few notes and urged them to transmit it. Seeing his sweating face, the official felt pity and quickly read through the letter and translated it into the specific code.

"Rain has fallen onto the fields of the Stone Bull, but a black snake which spits venom has appeared. So I won't be able to help you further. You are on your own now."

The official looked at the middle aged man again and praised inwardly. So this Sir is a farmer!

In True Fate Country, a farmer was an honorable profession, and was as difficult as being a doctor.

First was the entrance examination after the mandatory education, and only the brightest were selected. Once being selected, they had to spend four years on various subjects of theory and practical, after which they had to work as an apprentice on other farmer's fields for two years. Only after that could one gain a license and call him a farmer.

Once one became a farmer, the person could apply to the Provincial Hall for a specific piece of land and start his own farm.

Thus, one could see how hard it was to become a farmer, and that was why the official who was impressed treated the middle aged man as his father-in-law and quickly sent his telegram.

Somewhere else a little while ago….

The Anti-Martial Inspector in the long coat fumed as he stomped his feet as he walked to the nearest police station. When a young police officer tried to stop him, he arrogantly pulled out a card and showed it to him, which made the young police officer sweat bullets.

Damn, what was an honored Anti-Martial Inspector doing here?

The Anti-Martial Inspectors were only equal footing to the Secular Protectors. While the Secular Protectors prevented the country from external open threats, the Anti-Martial Inspectors dealt with the enemy vermin-like Martial Artists who hid in the dark. They were the ones who dealt with people like illegal migrants from outside countries or clans, or those terrorists from the Civil Uprising.

In short, many times the Anti-Martial Inspectors were objects of fear for majority of the people.

"Where is the communication device?" the Anti-Martial Inspector bluntly asked.

"In that room." The young police officer pointed to a room inside as he looked with fear at the gun which could be vaguely seen at the Anti-Martial Inspector's waist.

"Key!" the Anti-Martial Inspector asked with an annoyed face as he thought: How did this milk-sucking brat join the police force?

The young police officer quickly handed him a key and almost ran away into his superior's room.

The Anti-Martial Inspector shook his head in disdain and walked inside the room which the young police officer had pointed. He spotted a machine that looked a little similar to a public telephone and put the key into its intended slot and twisted it.

The machine came to life and a small yellow light lighted up. He picked up the hearing and listening piece, and held it with one of his hand, while with the other he typed a six digit number, which only the people of his organization knew.

He didn't have to wait for long as the other side picked it up after a few seconds.

"Identify yourself." The person on the telephone asked.

"Batch 14AT, Roll Number 34354, Jamie Bond."

"Hello Jamie! This is the AMI Control Center. What can I do for you?"

"I want to report assistance against an illegal Martial Artist migrant. Danger level: Level 3."

"We'll quickly dispatch someone. What's your current position?"

"It's Stone Bull Community, a Tier III community. I'll wait for the assistance here. I can be found in room number 14, at Brickhouse Inn. Report over."

"Report acknowledged! *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*"

The Anti-Martial Inspector, Jamie Bond, put the device back and turned the key the other way around and retrieved it. When he thought of how the middle aged man would be hunted down, a smile came on his face- one which almost touched both of his ears.

The superior of the young police officer who'd sprinted over to greet the Anti-Martial Inspector saw his expression and his hairs stood up.

These Anti-Martial Inspectors were really scary!!
