Kapitel 29: 29. Gaining a brother
It was already evening. Liu Mei felt somehow heavy. She felt listless and just sat down under the sky and watched twinkling stars. There are so many strange things she already experienced. One more is already normality.

Hua Lan could clearly see her stunned expression, but still slowly pushed her way in, while her husband ordered the stuff to be brought inside. Xiao Ran already stood there and smiled.
She helped the servants set up their room right next to her mistresses room and the servants will sleep in the same room with her. She let only one female servant and one midwife in the other room with her.
The rest of the people were sent back home. Liu Mei was really lost for words this time. They slowly pulled her to the seating room and started explaining everything.

I would never even think about this. I will pretend you didn't say anything.''

Seeing her confused expression she chuckled again. ''My husband never had siblings and I like you, so he asked if you would consider him as a brother. He is afraid you would feel ashamed about his lowly status, so he is too shy to repeat the same question.''
Liu Mei saw him nervously crumbling the handkerchief and imagining him as a woman. What was it called before in her world? Gay? No, he loves his wife and it seems they do that...No it was different...effeminate? Yes, that is it. A grown man that looked like he was broken from the mountain, holding his handkerchief in his hands like a woman.
Then she turned her head to Hua Lan and understood. She liked him just the way he is. It seems in this weird head of her friend, he was already half-naked or dressed in some feminine clothes. But she will let her have that kind of fantasies. She just pinched her hand lightly and looked at her meaningfully, making Hua Lan turn beet red.
