"He is Tamaki Hiroto, Maki's." Shio looked at Maki who was showing nervousness.
"friend! and her piano teacher! He's teaching Maki to play the piano better!" Shio said.
'It looks like I can't say it to him yet...hah, Maki should understand it why, well with her personality it's impossible she would initiate telling her beloved Papa..' Shio smiled helplessly.
"Hmm, you improved your piano Maki?" Her father looked at her and asked while scrutinizing Hiroto for a bit.
"Y-yes!, I have improved a lot and is better now because he taught me. " Maki smiled.
"That's okay but you better not slack off your studies." Her father nodded then looked at Hiroto again.
"What brings you here Hiroto?, you're going to teach her to play piano?" Her father asked while he sipped his coffee and read the newspaper cooly.
"Yes, I came here to teach Maki and since Shio-san requested me to play a piece for her." Hiroto said the truth.
"Since I am here as well, everyone should hear my daughter's piano teacher." Her father said and as he stood up from the sofa bringing his newspaper with him.
'He can't just leave her daughter alone with a boy huh..' Shio sighed as she followed them.
"Let's go to the music room." Her father said as he led the way to the music room.
It was his second time coming but he was still amazed by the size of this room. It was bigger than the music room at school and the grand piano here looked more expensive based on the brand. It was at the center of the room but near the veranda where everyone can relax while they feel the wind. Hiroto's eyes wandered and admired the modern design of the room.
"Tamaki-san, the seat is yours, let us hear your play." Her father said with an indifferent tone, he sat to a chair while bringing up his newspaper again. Meanwhile, Maki and Shio followed suit.
Hiroto saw Maki looking at him with a nervous expression. She was nervous because she knows her father very well. If you don't impress him, aside from his family, he will not bother with you if you don't have a connection or acquaintance connected to him.
Hiroto smiled at her showing an expression 'It's okay and leave it to me' face. Maki calmed herself down when she saw his smile.
Shio on the other side only smiles and thought
'It's so nice to be young again and this feels like that one movie where the family's daughter man showing off to his to be father in law. fufufu'
Hiroto approached the piano bench calmly then sat on the stool. He closed his eyes for a bit thinking of piano composition to play. 'What should I play today? It should be a strong and cool composition, since I'm going to show off a bit.' He ended his thoughts and decided with a very good composition. 'Let's try La Campanella by Franz Liszt/Niccolò Paganini'
'This should surprise them very much..' Hiroto had heard this piano piece so much during his past life, he used piano's pieces to reduce his boredom during his work hours. So he really knows the tune of it very well.
He placed his hand on the piano keyboard then started playing. The sound of piano keys echoed throughout the room while the fast notes bounced around the room like a rocket.
Everyone in the room was unable to speak and dumbfounded due to his fast paced playing. 'So fast! I never heard Hiroto play this fast before and even during his Auditorium practice!' Maki said while fully surprised.
'My! As expected nothing can beat watching it live than seeing it on screen. He's really good, like his mother I suppose.' Shio exclaimed in her heart while feeling amazement to the boy that was making his finger dance like it was nothing.
'I never heard this before. I have heard countless piano pieces in my lifetime but, this is new to me and his good!.' Maki's father was also surprised with Hiroto's fast performance
'He must be a child prodigy!' He thought.
Hiroto kept on playing as Maki and her parents remained speechless. When the fastest and most intense part was played before it ended. Maki and her parents felt goosebumps all over their bodies. They weren't able to process the emotions felt during the performance because of the chaotic feelings it had, going from cool to an angry or just lax but all of them experience a roller coaster of feelings that was a haughty impression of the tune because of the creator of this composition.
HIroto also felt some goosebumps over his body since he was the one playing and he knew very well how intense it was more than them. During the last part of the piece which was the hardest part to do, raising his hand to intersect them as he played with the key's like the keyboard of a computer. No mistakes and just the flow of the tune. His brows slightly focused and felt the notes that were dancing through the air.
After he finished playing, Hiroto opened his eyes and looked at them. They were staring at Hiroto while their mouth was agape. They were still motionless as he looked at them before he said "How is it?" as it snapped them back to reality.
"Ah! It's good!!." Maki said unable to tell the exact feeling she felt on the song but she clapped in the end.
"It was sooo good! How did you learn it, it's so difficult for me to even see your hands!" Shio said while clapping as well.
"Haha I practiced in my early childhood and have been practicing ever since.." HIroto rubbed the back of his head.
"So intense I like that piece! Boy what's the name of that piece?." Papa asked while his eyes were lit up
"It's called La Campanella, Sir." Hiroto said while said gentlemanly.
"Did you create that piece? I haven't heard something like that, I have listened to many piano performances but this is actually better from what I have heard before!" Maki's father felt amazed by this boy, while he realized that he must acknowledge this boy and his potential as well. He had the ability to reach a higher ground and becoming acquainted to him is something that can help him as well.
"It's our collaboration with my friend, me and my mother."
"Already making pieces eh, then you're really a child prodigy I can see that...Oops!, forgive my rudeness, let me first introduce myself I am Nishikino Yasahiro, a doctor and the owner of a Nishikino's general hospital. " Yasahiro offered his hand forward for a shake.
Hiroto shook with him and introduced himself. "I am Tamaki Hiroto, a first year student." As soon as he heard the Tamaki, Yasahiro realized that he might know who this boy was.
"Haha, you must be the son of Tamaki Mamako, right? First I doubt it because there are many family names like Tamaki. But I am sure you're her son because of your performance today" Yasahiro heartily laughed as he felt refreshed because of his performance.
"It seems Maki found the right teacher and a friend for her." Papa looked at her daughter while smiling. Maki heard what he said and blushed furiously.
"Stop that papa, you're embarrassing me!" Maki felt embarrassed.
"Let's have dinner today! You're eating with us right?" Yasahiro said as he invited him for dinner.
"Yes." Hiroto nodded with enthusiasm.
"Make yourself at home." Yasahiro said while he raised from his seat and head towards the living room and invited Hiroto to come with him.
They sat on the sofa while Shio and their chef prepared their dinner in the kitchen while Maki joined them as if to avoid chatting with Hiroto and her dad.
"Say Hiroto, how's your mother lately?" Yasahiro asked.
"She's fine, lively and she would be going back this time around." Hiroto said
"Eh?, then that's good, she's really dedicated with piano I guess. Haha, she never changes." Yasahiro laughed.
"You know my mother?" Hiroto asked curiously.
"Yeah, she's my long time classmate and a childhood friend back then. She's really popular with boys you know? Everyday she would receive love letters and her shoe cabinet would be packed with it. You know what she always does to those letters?" Yasahiro said with a mischievous smile.
"What is it?" Hiroto asked.
"She threw it on the trash can or burn it." Yasahiro dryly laughed as he removed his glasses while he cleaned it with a cloth, before putting it again.
"Eh? She just threw it? But how come she was married to my father?" Hiroto felt puzzled, he hasn't seen his father when he transmigrated but he can see if from his memories. He was wearing glasses. Maybe a bit nerdy?, how come that voluptuous mother of his had come to love a guy like that? I guess love comes in all shapes. (AN: Different personality I guess.)
"Well I don't know what happened, we separated after choosing our own path after I became a doctor while she enrolled in a music university. But back then, she had no interest in love but only love music. She would play after school or in the morning before class started. Many students would come and listen to her in the music room, it had been something like a daily ritual to all of us." Yasahiro smiled as he said while reminiscing about those times.
'No wonder she's so persisting with her passion, well she's nearly finished I guess..' Hiroto thought and nodded. Mamako would be going home this week, he just didn't when and since they got along well after they bonded, they had been chatting or video chatting these days. She said she would be taking a really long vacation tha she wouldn't leave her son alone again.
"Come to think of it, you and your mother really look alike." Yasahiro said.
Maki walked to the living room, "Papa, Hiroto. The food is ready."
"Hyouto! The food is finally ready. I miss my wife's cooking for many days!" Yasahiro stood up and stretched his arms. Hiroto stood up from his seat, and followed Maki to the dining area. Which was as luxurious as their piano room and the living room. They had a big table, noticeable chandelier likewise, the atmosphere was really relaxing.
They sat together "Ara! Looks like a family all together with an addition of a son." Shio jokingly said.
"What darling you want a son?" Yasahiro teasingly said.
"Papa! Mama! We are going to have dinner and stop saying weird stuff!" Maki furiously blushed.
Hiroto smiled at their family antics.
Yasahiro and Shio looked at each other before laughing at Maki's reaction.
"Itadakimasu." They all clasped her hands and said.
"Hiroto-kun, if you feel lonely you can go here anytime. We will welcome you with open arms" Shio said gently, smiling at him.
"Mama! Stop it!" Maki said in embarrassment
"I am okay with it! Be sure to teach her properly since she also likes music." Yasahiro smiled and said
"Yes, I will." Hiroto said happily.
"He's also good at academics, he teached Maki sometime in the past." Shio added while she ate.
"Eh?, is that true Maki?" Yasahiro looked at Maki.
"Y-yes, he's good at physics and math." Maki didn't care anymore and just took a mouthful of food to her mouth.
'I guess he's really talented but even with formulas and stuff, then how did he play that good?' Yasahiro thought of this boy in his head while he ate his food on the plate.
"Would you consider applying for a medical school?, you're good at STEM subjects right?" Yasahiro asked suddenly.
"W-well, I'm not that good but to be honest, I'm already considering whether to apply in the future." Hiroto smiled while Maki heard it and blushed as she covered her face with a bowl.
"Don't do that Maki!, that's so unladylike!" Shio had a slight agitation due to her misconduct.
"Mou, I don't know you anymore. Hmpf!" Maki turned her head to the side pouting.
"Shio-san, you cooking is really good!" Hiroto said complimenting her.
"Right?! I only want Shio's cooking whenever I come back but mostly we have a chef in the kitchen to cook for us but I still love Shio's cooking! " Yasahiro said with a gentle look on his face.
"Hehe keep eating to your heart's content." Shio said to Yasahiro.
Maki also helps on that look at those cute tiny little pieces." Shio said and pointed at Maki's creation albeit it was just the peels.
"That's good Maki-chan!" Hiroto praised her.
"Mama! Mou!" Maki looked down due to embarrassment but was happy inside.
After eating dinner, they talked a lot about what happened to school and how they helped the school idols. Yasahiro was against the idea at first but Shio and Hiroto helped him calm.
"If your grade drops for a bit then I'll not let you continue doing other things, you still have to inherit the hospital after all." Yasahiro said with a slight commanding tone.
"Yes, Papa, don't worry.." Maki said.
"Then, what about your cram classes?, you wouldn't be able to continue if you're going to be delving on other things." Yasahiro plainly said.
"Th-that's...I can do it!.." Maki stuttered but she said determined.
"Don't pressure her too much Honey…" Shio pacified her husband.
"If her grades drop then, I'll be the one to stop what you're doing.." Yasahiro said strictly even though he was being calmed by Shio.
"Okay, Papa." Maki nodded.
After some time, Hiroto taught Maki some advanced lessons in piano and after a few hours Hiroto looked at his watch.
"I think it's time for me to go back, It's already this late.." Hiroto said while pointing at his watch.
"Eh? Already?" Maki was surprised and looked.
"What? You want me to stay here?" Hiroto teased her.
"I-idiot! I just want to learn more! Hmpf!" Maki pouted.
"Haha, then see you tomorrow at school" Hiroto said goodbyes.
"Un, be careful on your way home." Maki said gently.
They had some alone time together at least. Her father just got back at the house, and he was catching up with his wife.
Hiroto also bade farewell to Maki's parents, Yasahiro suggested that he drive him home but Hiroto waved his hand as he refused.
"Sorry Yasahiro-san, but I have something to buy on my way home."
"...I see, then be careful." Yasahiro nodded.
"Here, some short cake fufu, just a small gift" Shio said while she smiled at him.
"Thank you very much, I'll go now." Hiroto bows before living
Maki was standing outside seeing Hiroto off and wave her hand to him, likewise he wave to her as well.

Hiroto was on his way home but decided to buy some things at a convenience store until he saw a twintail blonde girl, she's wearing a tracksuit and eyeglasses. 'Have I met her before?' Hiroto thought for a moment before he instantly realized.
"What do you have a problem?" the blonde twin tailed haired girl said while being annoyed by his glare.
"You're that girl at the vending machine before" Hiroto said with a tone.
"Eh? You saw through my disguise?" the twin tailed girl was surprised.
