Kapitel 15: Chapter 14 - Frozen flower

Hina sat on the ground humming as she looked down towards Ernie who was sleeping like a baby. His head laid in her lap. She did this because she didn't want him to rest his head on the ground.

"You're acting just like a mother."

Himari commented as she came back to their camp with dead snake in her hand.

Hina smiled.

"Well, he did get us out of the Kizamaru clan, if it wasn't for him we'd be dead. This is the least I can do to help repay our debts."

Himari rolled her eyes.

"You keep that up, and he'll ask you to marry him. When that happens, don't look to me for help."

"Oh shut up!"

The two girls laughed a bit.

"Honestly, I don't know what we are going to do. Staying with Ernie is a good idea and all, but why does he want to get caught up in our mess? We were basically strangers a few days ago."

Himari asked her sister as she started to peel off the snake skin.

"I too found it weird sister, but everyone has their own secrets and stories to tell. Maybe he just took a fancy to us is all."

Hina replied as she carrassed Ernie's face.

"Blah!"

Himari stuck out her tongue as she made a disgusted expression.

Hina giggled and shook her head.

"What about you, what do you think of Ernie. For someone so young, he is definitely talented and can use ice release. Not to mention that strange technique he used to move us here, the longer we are with him the more surprises he shows. As long as he manages to grow up, he'll be able to make big changes."

Hina spoke honestly.

"He is definitely skilled and has potential. However, one person cannot change the world Hina."

"One, no, but we are three. And we do not need to change the world, just help change the area around us. Blood only leads to more bloodshed, when will our land ever have a moment of peace? Something needs to change, and I feel that Ernie is the person who will cause that change to come forth."

Himari looked at the fire roasted the snake meat as she thought about her sister's words. She sighed.

"Still… i'm a little doubtful. What do you suggest we do? Stick around with him and make sure he grows up to be a decent man?"

As Himari asked that question she looked up towards her sister, and their eyes met.

"I was thinking more along the lines of us marrying him…"

Hina saw the cold gaze of her sister when she said those words.

"Hear me out Himari! We've lost our entire clan, he virtually the same and he already plans on creating another clan in the future. For that, he would need a wife to bear him children. While the two of us may not be as talented as him, we are still highly skilled among those our age. We will definitely be able to give him strong children to carry on the clan in the future. Together with him, we could make something out of our loss."

Himari puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms.

"What about our revenge? How will we ever be able to face our brother and family again when it's our time to pass on?"

Hina sighed.

"I've thought about that as well, we do what Ernie suggested. Train and get stronger for a few years, then come back and slay all those who did us wrong. We don't need Ernie to get revenge for us, we can do it ourselves. Let's not bring this matter up to him as he may believe we are only using him for our self revenge."

The two girls heard Ernie mumble and stopped talking. Ernie's eyelids moved and he shot right up as he opened his eyes.

Looking around, he noticed Hina and Himari.

His eyes still hurt, but not as much as before.

"How long have I been out?"

He asked.

Himari counted on her hand, and when Ernie seen her bring up another hand he started sweating.

Seeing the look on his face, Himari laughed while Ernie could hear Hina chuckling in the background.

He knew that she was only playing around with him, and it was his fault that he believed her.

"Don't get so worked up Ernie, you've only been sleeping for four hours."

Hina said as she calmed herself down.

Ernie yawned and stretched his body, shortly after his stomach growled.

Looking at the snake meat being roasted, Ernie wanted to grab a few sticks of meat and devour them. But, he had manners and would wait.

Himari reached over the fire and grabbed two sticks of meat and passed them to Ernie.

Ernie had his doubts but he grabbed the two sticks of meat from her.

'Strange… she's never done this before… What exactly happened while I was asleep?'

Ernie asked himself as he was cautious of Himari's being nice to him.

"Hey Ernie, you think you can teach me that technique you used before?"

Himari asked with puppy dog eyes.

'I knew there had to be a catch!'

Ernie shook his head.

"I can't… it's a technique that is related to my eyes and can only be used by people who awaken my clans bloodline."

Ernie just said some rubbish, but to the girls their eyes seemed to shine.

"Is it like those red eyes of the Uchiha clan?"

Himari asked.

"The Sharingan? It's similar but not really. I call it the Reitgan, but the official name is the Reitō hanagan. Translates to 'Eye of the Frozen Flower'."

Ernie said before he took a bite of the snake meat.

He felt a bit more trusting towards these two girls, as they could have easily left him here while they ran away. Instead, they stayed by his side and took care of him.

Therefore, Ernie knew that these two had a kind heart and wouldn't do him wrong.
