Well, as I expected. The very next day, a group of Elders had approached me and asked for ideas for the New Year Festival.
Honestly, throwing this event on some people to organise within two weeks of the actual event is an impossible task. Does the Sect Master even understand the logistics and manpower involved with making such an event?
Putting aside logistics since, if forced to, we would still be able to create some materials utilizing our quarks and our summons could do the heavy lifting in building the necessary equipment. But the people manning the event and entertaining guests can't be automated summons you know?
Not only would it depreciate the celebrative atmosphere, it will make our Sect look empty in the eyes of other Practitioners.

I entered their room as Lian Li had asked, finding it fully decorated with streamers, ribbons and balloons.
My girls were all dressed in red, fluffy costumes surrounding a large table that had a huge feast spread over it.
Right in the middle of said table was a gigantic strawberry log cake, topped with a multitude of strawberries and cream.
"Merry Christmas, Master!"
I was stunned.
I had only mentioned about this other world event in passing and they remembered.
So the visits to the kitchens were them learning to prepare this feast in secret; the sewing lessons to make the costumes; the shopping trip to buy the decorations; and the noises I heard from their room were the installation of decorations.
I admit I teared up a little.
"Merry Christmas everyone! And wishing you a Happy New Year!"
