Normac and Terbon were at the market place getting the supplies they were low on when an agonizing surge of pain swept through their entire bodies. The magnatude of it brought them to their knees as they tried to keep the screams from escaping their lips. That pain. That power. It only mean one thing.
"Seraphina!"
"She broke the vow!"
Dark brown eyes meet equally dark brown eyes as the pain subsided and the two brothers helped one another stand. Seraphina was their third counterpart as they were triplets together and their shared birth, and magicks linked them physically, mentally, and emotionally together.
Although they looked nothing alike beside the shared height of six foot exactly. Normac was a brunette with a growing mustache and lanky limbs. Terbon was a redhead with a clean shaven face and showing muscel on his long limbs. Their sister was born first; two minutes before Normac and seven minutes before Terbon. She was short like their mother had been with originally dirty blond hair that after the Vow had been made turned permanently pink. They all shared the same eyes and unchanging ageless faces.
Finally able to regain control of themselves they ran to their alcove that was their home and gathered everything they needed. Each brother packing up the few prossesions they each owned and finally packing away the alter. With one last look they left the place; setting it ablaze as they would never return to it and let the flames burn away any evidence of them having inhabitated it.
With a final nod to one another they both reached deep into their mental bond to each other and felt out for their sister. Feeling the pull they began the treck towards their family. It was three days later they stood in front of an iron gate that was locked shut.
Beyound it was a looming dark abandoned cathedral but the security cameras that lined the place told of the habitation of the very obvious sanctuary. They looked up at the camera starring at them and waited.
Minutes went by before a dark skinned vampire with braids and wearing a very revealing leather outfit approched them. They both looked at her unaffected as she tried to use her lure to distract them.
"What bring such handsome men to our little hideaway?" she purred running her long pointed fingernails across their chests.
"Please refrain from trying to seduce us. " Terbon growled out.
"Oh. You two are immune to the Lure. How fascinating. " she grinned fangs glinting in the the night.
"Our sister is here and in need of medical attention. Bring us to her and we will leave peacefully." Normac stated and she frowned.
"Damn. You're apart of the vistors people. Fine this way if you will. You're lucky our King made an oath of protection towards them already." She pivoted after opening the gate and they followed her.
They shared at smirk knowing their sister had atleast secured their protection before hand. The cathedral was gloomy and falling apart but so was every structure on this damned island they lived on. They went past numbers of vampires and up several flights of stairs before approaching a heavily guarded door and standing before it stood a man that was their height.
He had a buzzed haircut and glowing red eyes. He matched Terbon in muscel mass and radiated power. He must be of Royal blood but so were they so all in all it was of equal footing.
"I am guessing you are the Elder Brothers they talked about." it wasnt a question.
"Our sister?"
"Inside but I should tell you that the three younger ones have yet to leave her side. "
If that was news to them (and it was) they didn't show it and simply nodded. The door opened to reveal a giant bedroom that maybe they would look at it better later. But their entire focus was on the overly large bed that held their entire family: fast asleep and curled together.
Seraphina laid in the center of the bed clearly uncounsious. Tucked into her right side was their baby brother Nathaniel who was asleep and clutching onto her. On her right side were the two younger sisters Paulina and Jennyfer each of them curled arouns her protectively. They would get the story later but first to heal their impossible sister.
Sensing their presence dark brown eyes opened and looked at them. She blinked as the three of them felt the normal shift of magicks on the air that happened when all three of them were in the same space.
"Brothers." she sighed heavly as she was still being punished for her use if offense magicks and was unable to move.
"Elser Sister...."
"You're an idiot."
She smiled at them and shook their heads at her.
"I promise you it was worth it. "
"Tell us after we heal you."
They carefully removed their younger siblings off the bed and to a seatte without waking them before they moved to the empty dresser and pulled out the things they needed from their bags
Together they set up the alter they needed. In the center they placed the small alter table that held the design of the changing moons and a pentacle in the center of it after placing the alter cloth on the dresser first. On the Alter table they placed two large white pillar candles with a cauldron set in the middle.
Carefully they laid out a shell, a crystal, and a see through looking glass on the alter table in front of the cauldron. Next one set up the incence while the other made a pyramid out of old copper coins. Finally they both stratigically placed different colored candles at each corner of the alter table. Pink for love and family. Red for passion and strength. Blue for protection and and forgiveness and finally Black for safety and protection.
Finally one held a feather and the after placing a plate of sand on the alter turned to the other who held a long lighter in his hands. After lighting a healing incense they took a deep breath and with a nod they both moved to their sister. Their younger siblings having woken up had already taken the sheets of her and undressed her to her underwear so that her body laid exposed and she didn't move and a cloth and bowl of blessed water sat on the the two bed side tables waiting and ready.
The Vampires stood off to the sides as they watched curious. No one had seen Witches in a very long time and it had been even longer since anyone had witnessed their magicks.
The two men stood on either side of the bed and simultaneously dipped the cloth into the bowl and starting at her forhead began cleansing her body. No one spoke as the smoke from the inscense filled the room and the two cleaned her head to toe. When they were done they placed the water bowls on the alter and one pulled out a thick Leather Bound Book with the phasing of the moons.
It was opened to a bookmarked page and set infront of them. First the two white candles were lite as they began their chant.
"May the Goddess and God of Love and Light grant us our Wish and accept our Forgiveness. Heal our Sister as you look into her Heart."
The Pink candle was lite.
"Look into our hearts and hear our cries."
The Red Candle was lite.
"See our passion and check our strengths"
The Blue Candle was lite.
"We thank you for Your protection and plead for Your forgivness."
Finally the black candle was lite.
"We accept our fates that the Goddess and God have bestowed upon us. Do as You wish and as You see fit but grant us Your safety and protection once again. Forgive our transgressions and make the vow again. As above is so below. So Mote It Be."
They finsihed their chant and wind appeared in a strong gust inside the room. It blew out the candles and surround the woman on the bed. And as it did she screamed a blood curtling scream that the entire cathedral flinched back from. Fire glowed in her eyes and as she was judged for her actions by the Goddess and God that they all followed in one way or another.
Witches were more connected to them than the other two racea of the night and as such their actions directly reflected their wills. It felt like forever before the screams died down and the woman laid limp on the bed.
The Witches in the room bowed their heads as the wind settled around the six of them judging them all before dispersing all together. The all twitched in agony but held back their cries of pain for their sister did not need to hear them taking her punishment with her. She would scold them later if she knew but it was a small price to pay for her help.
The two brothers now knew what had happened as their sisters memories passed through to their own as she was judged. It was a curse and a gift to be the last of a cursed Coven but they accepted all the consequences of their own actions. It was apart of what it meant to be a Witch in the first place.
The room waited with baited breath as finally every one of the six Witches fell to the heaps as the judgment was over and passed. It was a weary voice that broke the silence.
"I'm sorry for causing such trouble again."
Five chuckles filled the room as three pairs of blue eyes and two pairs of brown eyes look at the woman on the bed. They smiled amused at one another speaking over each other.
"Eh we're family."
"We protect family."
"Besides who else is gonna take care of us."
"We don't particularly feel like dying just yet dear sister. "
"Y'all are impossible." a low chuckle sounded from them all but a clearing throat brought their attentions to the man who had provided sanctuary to them all.
"Any one want to explain what the fuck just happened?"
