Kapitel 106: The Next Step
Appearing in two universes at once, Shen reached his hand through the vortex grabbing hold of something. As soon as his grip was secure he yanked his arm back pulling someone along with it, landing on his back. Midoriya who seemed both amazed and perplexed. "Is that a portal?" Pointing towards the vortex. Shen thought for a moment before speaking. "Something like that."
On the other hand, Urahara who had suddenly been yanked out of nowhere was surprised to hear Shen's voice. "Master Shen? You're the one who brought me here?" Standing up Urahara felt something different. There was no spiritual energy anywhere; he couldn't sense it whatsoever.
It was only when he looked over at Midoriya and Shen did he finally sense something. "This place is…" Shen could tell Urahara was trying to figure this out when he patted him on the shoulder. "It's another universe don't try to burn yourself out" Stuttering over his words for a moment, Urahara decided to take Shen's advice and just ignore it for now.
"So… This is another universe entirely? Then who manages the passage of souls? Or wait since this is a different universe are there even souls? I mean the possibilities of this place having an entirely different system around life and death are possible.
Reincarnation might actually be something unique to our universe and this one might be behind. Or wait is this what would have happened if a different route in the word's evolution…"
Urahara began to ramble on and on causing Shen to shake his head. Midoriya on the other hand seemed to be able to keep up with Urahara's words perfectly and instantly turned Shen. "Wait, you have the ability to open portals to different universes? But how can.. I mean even a quirk wouldn't be able to give that ability or would quirk's even work in another universe?"
Hearing the rambling continue from the two of them Shen wondered if letting these two meet was actually a good idea. In a short span of thirty minutes, Urahara and Midoriya finally stopped talking as Shen took a deep breath in and out. "So now that you two are done Urahara I need you to do something."
Responding to Shen's words Urahara turned and smiled with a bow. "I live to serve. What do you need?" Pointing to the warehouse's roof and walls Shen explained. "I won't be staying here long however while I am I plan on converting it just like the previous world." Understanding what he was trying to say Urahara replied.
"I see, I'll get to work however what of him?" Sensing Midoriya had a similar Reiatsu to Shen, Urahara was curious. Glancing over to Midoriya, Shen spoke nonchalantly. "He's a type of experiment." Nodding his head in understanding Urahara glanced at Midoriya one more time as Shen opened a vortex back to the bleach universe.
Urahara would require time to set things up so he quickly left and began preparing things. It was after Urahara had left that Shen heard a question. "So what exactly are you? I mean at first, I thought maybe you had some special power like quirks except different.
Plus you can open portals to different universes and I've even seen you fly. If I had to call you something it would be close to a g-"
Before Midoriya could finish speaking, Shen interrupted him. "Though it may seem that way here trust me you haven't seen anything yet." Shen had always subconsciously kept his ego to a minimum. While it was fun being overpowered in a universe like this, he had to keep in mind he wasn't invincible or else the day would come where he digs his own grave.
Keeping that in mind he wouldn't consider himself a god. 'Maybe an extremely roided up weeb…' Chuckling for a moment, Shen glanced towards Midoriya as he asked Shen a question. "Is there anything you need me to do?" Not answering right away Shen made his way to the warehouse's entrance.
Despite the idea of turning a world's protagonist into one of its greatest oppositions being hilarious in its own way, Shen also wanted to learn something. Before weapons, Shen had pumped it full of Ki to the point one slash could cut a mile's worth of land in two. And then with his clones, he did the same thing to allow them to use other abilities not related to Chakra.
But Midoriya on the other hand was a quirkless boy. If he pumped his body full power what kind of effects would it have? In the end, there were a bunch of possibilities and Shen was interested in them all. And plus, if worse comes to worst he could use him like a kamikaze bomber. That aside Shen was interested to see how far this could go.
"You're an experiment like I said and experiments need to be tested. Just continue doing what you were and keep my words from before in mind." With that Shen left the warehouse. "Now I should give them fair warning before anything else happens." Looking in towards a large building miles away in the center of the city Shen cracked his neck before disappearing.
"What do you mean there was an accident?" Sitting in the teacher's lounge All Might in his muscular form was talking on the phone. "How did this happen? What about the heroes there? Did they see anything?" Continuing to talk to the person on the other side of the phone All Might sighed before hanging up. "How did this happen…"
Sitting down on a couch the teacher lounge's door opened as a black-haired worn-out man came walking in. "Aizawa?" Turning to Aizawa, All Might looked at him unenthusiastically. "What has you so under the weather?" Seeing All Might not smiling, as usual, Aizawa lazily sat down on the opposite couch.
"I just got word there was an accident in Hosu City." Listening to All Might, Aizawa turned his head towards the nearby window while thinking. "Hosu City… That's a little far from here. Last time I checked the activity in that city had been getting slightly out of control, but I doubt that's a reason to call you personally."
With Aizawa Pointing that out, All Might replied. "Indeed, normally a villain causing trouble would be normal however, this is different. The casualties from the attack ranged in the tens of thousands. And a report from two hero's said the explosion was caused by a person's quirk." It was the fact that this explosion was man-made that made All Might be unsettled.
"What? Wait how is someone with such a destructive quirk walking around?" Now it made sense why they called All Might. Someone like that wandering around without supervision is bad, and the possibility of them being a villain makes it worse. "In any case, it would be best if I took some time away from UA and headed to Hosu City. But first, we should hold a meeting with the rest of the teachers."
Meanwhile, Shen was casually walking through the city. 'I wonder if those heroes from before have told anyone about me yet?' He didn't remember to wear a mask when he showed himself though even without it he had a feeling they didn't remember any strict details about his appearance or else he wouldn't be able to walk around so casually.
'Well, I guess it won't matter much since I plan on doing things differently.' In Bleach he was more confined due to the fact revealing himself would call every enemy he had to attack him at once. But here he had the freedom to do whatever he wanted. 'Though taking this place over like the last universe would be boring.'
Thinking to himself Shen noticed something at the corner of his eye. A group of men in an ally looked as though they were making a shady trade. 'That gives me an idea. How about I give them time to prepare this time?' The idea took root in Shen's mind and as he kept thinking about it, it sounded more and more fun.
'In the last universe we rushed our attack, but what if we give them a warning ahead of time?' It sounded fun to him, but how would he go about it? It had to be big and impactful enough to get the whole world up in arms. It was mid-thought that Shen felt an Idea hit him.
'And I can think of a perfect way to do it.' A couple of hours later in UA, a meeting between all of the school faculty was taking place in the school's conference room.
"So that's what's going on?" Placing her hands on top of one another a female hero named Midnight. Sitting in the conference room was All Might, Aizawa, and a bunch of other heroes including UA's principal Nezu. "Well if that's the case it makes sense you have to go." Agreeing with All Might's statement Nezu nodded his head.
"Yes, but I'm still worried about leaving UA." As All Might spoke his concerns to them the teachers laminated among one another. "Well, that makes sense, your presence alone keeps crime to a minimum. Adding more onto that you're also the symbol of peace that means you can't simply stay in one city forever."
All Might raised his head slightly in agreement before realizing something.
'Wait whose voice was that?' Looking towards the direction the voice came from All Might spotted a man sitting in a chair that was supposed to be vacant. He couldn't see his facial features due to him wearing a strange mask but he could tell he wasn't a teacher at UA.
"Who are you!" Standing in alarm all the teachers present excluding Nezu focused their attention on the masked figure.
"I was just trying to pitch in, no need to be so jumpy. Anyway, my name isn't important since I won't be here long. I'm just here to give you all a heads up and a warning." Listening to him, Nezu raised his hand telling the rest of the teachers not to attack. "Warn us about what?" Asking curiously the masked figure turned to All Might.
"You were going to head to Hosu City if I'm not mistaken. Sadly I'm afraid even if you go now it will be too late." All Might's face grew grim when he heard him say that. "And what does that mean?" A slim man with blonde hair and a speaker attached to his neck asked.
"Well by the time you arrive in Hosu City I doubt it will still be in one piece. See we didn't think you would take our threat seriously if we did not show some… Initiative. So instead I'm here to tell you to prepare yourselves for what's coming next."
Clenching his fist from the comment about Hosu City All Might tried his best to remain calm as Nezu tried to get more information out of the masked man. "And why would you warn us about something that's going to happen. You don't seem like the heroic type." Tilting his head the masked man sat up from their chair.
"Because it would be boring otherwise. I admit that the little explosion incident in Hosu City was a little overkill just to deal with a couple of police officers. But not like anyone there is going to live to tell about it. Now then I should take my leave." Hearing the masked figure was preparing to leave All Might glanced over at Nezu who responded with a nod.
In a split second, the power of One For All ran through All Might's body as he dashed over to the masked figure. The entire room shook and the windows inside broke as All Might reached his hand out to try and grab him before he left. However, the moment his arm came within a certain range of the masked figure's body the sound of air being cut along with something splattering onto the floor stopped All Might mid-movement.
Continuing to walk as if nothing had happened the man left the conference room unabated as the arm All Might reached out with fell to the ground. Clutching onto his upper arm All Might didn't let out any noise but grunts obviously trying to suppress the pain.
"All Might! Help me get him to the nurse's office!" Running up to All Might, Aizawa didn't understand what had happened. 'I was sure I had used my erasure quirk on him, how did this happen...'
Springing into action the heroes in the conference room began to move. While Midnight and Present Mic and Ectoplasm went to chase after the masked man, the rest of them helped get All Might to Chiyo so she could stop the bleeding. However by the time they went to look for the masked man he was already gone.
As these events occurred at UA something terrifying was about to happen in Hosu City. Walking into the middle of a busy intersection Shen took slow steps and while doing so dozens of cars around him tried to swerve. Crashing into lamp posts or even each other dozens of horns went off at once causing a massive traffic accident.
"What is that guy doing in the middle of the street?"
"Does he want to get run over or something?"
Standing in this middle of the intersection, Shen took a look around before shrugging. "This should be close to the middle." Getting down on one knee Shen placed his hand on the black concrete below. With a red glow coating his entire hand, Shen took a deep breath before releasing energy into the ground.
Like a pulse, an immense amount of power flowed into the ground, and shortly after a tremor could be felt throughout the entire city.
