Kapitel 5: Ashwathama

Gaitonde(Background): Whenever my beggar father slept, my mother stayed awake. And While he was awake she slept. She was only truly alive when he was gone. Her world would come alive then.

Mom: What are you doing here, are you out of your mind, Ganesh is sleeping.

Man: So what I also want to sleep, with you.

Mom: Come back when Ganesh is at school

Man: There's no school tomorrow. Its Sunday. I want to do it now.

Then both of them start laughing together.

Later that day Gaitonde was in a park, It was raining last night so the whole park was filled with water. Gaitonde was bullied by some kids who looked 2 years older then him. Gaitonde picks up a stone.

Boy: You are going to hit me? You son of a bitch! Do you have the courage? You fucker!

Gaitonde: Watch your mouth or I'll hit you.

The boy walks towards Gaitonde, rips his shirt and pushes him. Gaitonde falls down in the water puddle.

Gaitonde(background): Some of my childhood memories are still fresh.

The boy then holds Gaitonde's collar.

Boy: Hey why are you crying. Because I tore your shirt. Your whore of a mother can bring you a new shirt every day.

Gaitonde(background): And some of it feels like it never happened. Like it was a part of my past life.

Gaitonde runs towards his house. After entering the house he finds out that his mother is sleeping with a man. His mother is side hugging that guy.

His dad is being arrested for killing his mother. But his dad is crying.

Gaitonde(background): It feels like yesterday when I was running madly. From the fields, from the house, from Godavari, from father's chanting and his gods. And it feels like a lifetime, when I saw my mother.

What is religion mother or father whatever it is, I was free now. Now I needed a new religion Mumbai.

Present Day

Sartaj parks his car and walks out of the car.

Gaitonde: What is it, sir? Are you trying to find me?

Sartaj: Why would I be looking for you? I am hungry. I want eggs.

Gaitonde: Should I order a chicken.

Sartaj switches phones, he is now speaking with Katekar

Sartaj: Yes I am now at the Metro Circle. Do you know the name of the building?

Katekar: Sir he is somewhere close by

He again switches phones.

Gaitonde: Sir, the next street has the best Anda Pav. Opposite Kalyani. I am right there. Come let's eat together.

Sartaj walks some distance and finds a egg shop.

Gaitonde: There you will find Sunil. Tell him I say hi. He chops onions very fast.

Sartaj: Are you fucking around with a signal scrambler?

Gaitonde: I have a story to tell, so I need tour time. So I took you for a ride.

Sartaj: I heard your story. Your mother was a whore and your father a asshole.

Gaitonde: Watch your mouth sir. Do you know who I am?

Sartaj: A small time thug with small dick and no balls. Call a doctor and stop fucking around with me.
