Kapitel 8: Chapter 8 old friends, loser's choice?
At the order of Sanctuarium, a woman was sitting on a chair enjoying the night sky, she was a familiar figure that was covered in bandages, her right arm had feathers slipping out of the gaps in the bandages on her arm, with her skin more on the brown side, with more bandages covering her right eye.
it failed to hide the beauty she held as she muttered with a hint of longing as the mana she felt seemed to be alerting her.
"so you've finally returned, my dear friend"
At the order of grim, a woman wearing a red hood surrounded by her fellow sorcerers were discussing some matters pertaining to a local archfiend that they planned to subjugate.
her child-like laughter disrupted their talks sporting a wild grin while wanting to play with an old playmate as her words caused quite the disturbance due to the reputation of the person mentioned.
As her red hair rested on her left shoulder while playing with her iconic apple she said.
"It looks like Cu Chulainn had finally returned!"
Many of her fellow members were skeptical about this due to her constant tricks and illusions but they all turned to the seer of the order a young girl that covered her body with thick robes to confirm this, as this child was a taciturn one, she gave a simple nod in response.
while the others were worried about what The devil incarnate was planning the red hooded woman thought to herself.
"Finally you'll get to be my lovable dog again Cu!"
before continuing with that laughter of hers.
Meanwhile back with Cu Chulainn
the whole area around him was like a wasteland as there was nothing left due to his original black rite one of the things he loved the most about it, was what he received afterward which was a very precious solution called lacrima and depending on the number of fiends and creatures that are consumed he gets his arm restored back before it was cut out with a few things included that now laid hidden within his shoulder.
This meant he can constantly summon his creation and if it consumes the required amount he gets free lacrima however he must be careful as it will require more and more until eventually eats the world as Cu did base it off of a world-eating serpent he intends on using it against the gods sooner or later so that he may rightfully name it as that forbidden name.
Cu really wanted to thank his buddy for explaining such details about the beast and helping him with the general idea, however, now he has to deal with this issue at hand, which was the sorcerer that was being rather subservient to him while quivering in fear due to the very destruction he caused.
She was an Avalon initiate and judging from how devilish her arm looks she did quite the number of sacrifices to reach her current strength game-wise she'd be around the stage two of sacrifices, and from the amount of mana around her, this woman gained her quick growth from sacrificing other initiates.
the girl's name was Lilian Brightwood, she seemed to be of Hispanic descent if this was earth she was wearing a noble version of the Avalon raiment, that failed to hide her full lips and sharp nose, she might be just a teenager or just lacks in a certain department as she was flat, but her hips made up for it as they were wide and full.
But Cu could care less for such things as he wanted answers thus to stop this girl from quivering as he heard her mutter.
"Is he going to claim me like in the stories?"
*ahem*
this broke her from the ongoing revelry Cu asked with a smile that wasn't a smile
"What...did....you....say?"
he was practically growling from the strange thing she said as Cu doesn't recall every claiming any women for himself or anything like that! yeah, there was a time where he went around the SS world to hunt for fiends and rare resources.
then again the more he thought about it, that saying might be related to how he would 'save' any female sorcerers which were few but the men he left it to fate so Cu was quite an ass for some time.
Lilian started begging for her life and to be spared but when she began saying that Cu can have his way with her sorry as-
he snapped by knocking her upside of the head before scolding her!
What the hell kind of reputation did he have!?
he never laid a hand on any of the women (not that he could either) unless...it wasn't mentioned in the librom!? like the certain gaps in the timelines and all that and if you think about it, would YOU write it in a journal that you know will be read by others in the future?
Cu groaned while yelling out. "FUUUUCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!"
But sadly, his wild imaginations were wrong it was more of light revenge from both Similia and Sympatha that escalated as it wasn't denied since he just suddenly disappeared, no contact, after completed numerous hunts with them, saved them countless times from death, nearly died for them so many times, yet he did not ask for any rewards or favors from them.
mostly due to the fact that players earn the rewards after completing the task in the game thus the girls that followed never needed to give anything as 'thanks' hehe.
but Sympatha and similia didn't know that!
And to top it off with him being gentle, handsome, extremely wealthy (as he hoarded all sorts of powerful offerings), powerful thanks to the previously mentioned note, as well as being a loyal friend.
so how can he not pull some heartstrings?
now thanks to his return Cu will have to deal with the two women's little revenge that accumulated over some time, as well as few other ones that also have a bone to pick with him due to his confusing signals, so yeah they will have a field day with him!
From the information, he gathered from Lilian was it has only been five years since the battle against the three greater archfiends it was a time in the game which was a special event where you had to originally fight against an Abyssal fiend and a Chthonian fiend, however, another greater archfiend joined the battle that was later called Bahamut.
Well, it was a tough battle for others but for Cu, it was more of a prank...
Why... you ask?
well if you remember when he mentions something about being able to transform into an archfiend then hunting players for breaking offerings?
He took the form of a Bahamut, replicated all the moves and spells it had, then gone on a killing spree, when he felt that, they really didn't learn their lesson that and it was fun as hell being an archfiend.
This was why when Lilian began talking about that time when he took that form full of venom he couldn't look her in the eye for a little bit as well since he destroyed more than half of the players that joined in that event where in this world they were considered legendary sorcerers.
And the other half was thanks to Cu being an asshole healing the 'greater' archfiends in the event then buffing them to where they almost rivaled the last boss both in power and health.
this event was called The Great Collapse as the sorcerers of this worlds feared for their lives as there has never been a time where their kind was killed in such numbers by archfiends that is why these three were considered unique and entitled 'Greater' because in this world's view they killed hundreds(not really since the players were revived only to be beaten down again but the inhabitants of this world saw otherwise) of legendary ranked kinsmen of the different orders.
After Cu was done gaining what he wanted it was still contemplating whether to let her live or kill her or enslave her as the look she gave him when he had his head turned away and used his other senses this woman would go for a sneak attack when given a chance and try to kill him despite being her savior.
