Kapitel 24: Graduation
"Now, please show us your clone-jutsu.", ordered a Shinobi behind a desk while looking at some papers in front of himself. It was another member of the teaching staff that was currently examining the students.
All in all, there were four people with him. That is beside Iruka there was the Sandaime like in canon and actually another ninja that was also present.
Kaito was actually surprised to really see the old man sitting here and doing this. He was actually expecting someone else to do this minor task.
But he didn't give much more thought to it and executed his orders. And just as ordered he made three simple hand prints and created a clone of himself.
The shinobi looked at it and nodded. "Very good. That was everything from me. Ms. Saki?" He was talking to the black-haired woman with glasses that was sitting right beside him. It was the fourth member doing the tests and also Kaito´s medical ninjutsu teacher.
To be precise the examiners consisted of a neutral party, the homeroom teacher and lastly, a teacher from the specialization one chose and excelled at. In Kaito´s case, it was Medical ninjutsu.
He himself thought himself better at Genjutsu but according to this outcome, it was decided differently.
"Please come over here, Kaito-kun. Perform the mystic palm on this birds injured wing." The woman called Saki took out a small birdcage that had a small bird inside it that was lying on the bottom of it.
Kaito moved over, opened the cage and took out the bird. He gently applied the mystic palm on it and soon the little bird started to get energetic.
When he put it back into the cage it flapped its wings and landed on the little bird swing inside the cage - chirping all cheerfully while looking at him with its round beady eyes. It nearly looked like it wanted to thank him
"Just as expected by my little protegee." The woman smiled. "I was not wrong in saying that you are a real talent in medical. Passed. Just remember to consider joining the hospital later on. Alright?"
"Sensei, I don't think my skills are worth such praise..." Kaito was actually denying her suggestion. Internally he thought something else but didn't dare to say it. ´Please, by the love of God. I know that doctors are being paid low wages and treated freaking ungratefully.´
Iruka was smiling now after hearing the last words.
"Then I guess it is about time that I congratulate you for becoming a fullfledged shinobi.", said Iruka and took out a Konoha headband from a container underneath the desk.
That headband he gave to the third and he was the one that stood up and walked over to hand it over to him. Right, this geezer was basically the ceremonial passage into becoming a ninja. Kinda ironic but he chose so himself.
Hiruzen´s wrinkly face also had a smile on it. "Congratulations on passing, Kaito Uzumaki. From this day onward you are a Genin of Konoha. "
´Damn, at least take your damn smoke somewhere else when gratulating people.´ Kaito was actually more annoyed about the fact that he still had his pipe in his mouth and the smell of herbs was drifting in his nose from it.
Then he sighed and smiled. Grabbing the headband he looked at it.
Suddenly he also got a message that surprised him somewhat. It has been a long time since that happened on its own.

´What the hell? Well, that is overestimating and overcompensating my skills on a whole another level...And what is that weird last reward? What does it mean a change of fate? Mine? What the hell was supposed to happen?´ Kaito was genuinely confused now but did not let anything be shown on his face of what was going on.
He just took the headband and put it confidently on his forehead.
Then he bowed respectfully to the people present. "Thank you very much for all your guidance until now."
Hiruzen smiled and nodded. Then he looked at the shinobi at the desks and returned to them.
"You can leave now. Please wait in the designated area until we also give you your complete results in a scroll form." The other examiner pointed at a room to the left of Kaito.
Since Kaito came from the room on the right it was probably meant for students that already did the test to not talk with people yet to be examined.
No wonder he didn't meet Naruto anymore after he went in first. With that in mind, Kaito walked and entered the waiting room.
Naruto noticed him and immediately stormed at him. Looking at his forehead he started to grin greatly and became giddy.
"We made it brother!! Hahaha, one step closer to becoming Hokage!", shouted Naruto loudly.
"Quiet down, will ya." Kaito was happy himself but he was also a little bit worried. Now that fate changed what would that Mizuki do? Also what about the shadow clones for Naruto? God damn, this is getting out of hand. Hopefully, no further surprises happen.
"Haha, sorry I am just too excited!"
Kaito just sighed to that. "Come, let's wait for the papers and then get back home. Tomorrow will be our start as true ninja. Oh and I think we should invite Iruka-sensei to a bowl of ramen. Actually, let's just go right after everything is done. Celebrating is a must."
"You got it. I will eat the most expensive ramen today to celebrate, hehe.". nodded Naruto and already salivated about his idea.

Soulcrystal Not sure if I actually keep those rewards as they are right now since I am still figuring out a better system for this world (Yes I am still considering stuff now since in The Gamer Manhwa there are new options appearing like base building and freaking conquest RTS components - lol).
But for now its alright I guess.
