Kapitel 25: Surprised
The next day Liam woke up to have breakfast with his mom and after left to do some training. He had Shadow take Larvitar to the woods to train while having the other three practice their moves to perfect them. Liam was just meditating while all this was going on, and after a while, it was time to see Professor Oak, so he called everybody back and returned them into their pokeballs.
He made his way to Professor Oak's lab; when he got there, he saw Daisy taking care of some of the Pokemon. She was surprised to see him and quickly went to say hi "welcome back Liam how's your journey so far and have you seen that idiot brother Gary lately," he told her yes he's doing fine, he's getting even more potent by the day. He believes he might also be more reliable than Ash at this point.
Liam chatted up a little bit before I am asking her where Professional Oak is, and she tells him he's down in his lab. Liam knocked on the door, and the door opened. He then saw the Professor working on something that he didn't recognize. He greeted him, and he was surprised to see Liam, then all of a sudden, he rushes up to Liam and says," Hey Liam, how was Shadow? I would like to see him again."
Liam quickly laughed and said, "well, I'm glad you know that I'm doing well," Liam immediately summons shadow. Liam just shook my head because there was no winning with this guy. When Shadow came out, Oak was surprised to see how big he's gotten. Shadow had gotten as tall as Professor Oak himself Standing high at 5"8 compared to a few years ago when he was just a baby that could be carried around.
He examines him for a little while, and then Liam brought out the Larvitar, which shock Oak and he immediately starts to question Liam how he got the Larvitar like that. He explained to him everything about what I know about the devil type. At this point, Oak's mind is blown because he's never heard of this kind of typing and thinks it might be a discovery, but then Liam explained to him that only Shadow was able to influence such changes causing him to understand a little bit more.
Oak asks Liam if he can do some experiments and some tests. Liam told him that it might not be safe if he does it alone because once they activate the devil powers, they lose all kinds of self-control, and not only that, they become even stronger. Larvitar might be able to be stopped, but once Shadow starts going, it's hard to get him to stop and calm down unless I am near him.
Liam then goes on to explain exactly what happened and how it affected their moves. Liam let him know what he saw with shadow using the individual steps on all of them being a bright black color, and now Professor is even more interested. He tells me not to worry that he can leave them behind for the day and that if anything goes wrong, he will give me a call.
Liam trusts Professor Oak, so I let it be and left. He then went back home to hang out with his mother, Marie. He then showed her some of the Pokemon that he had gotten, Dratini, Arbok, and Ditto. When she saw Ditto, she fell in love and asked whether she could have him, but Ditto himself denied and rejected her request, and Liam didn't have anything much more to say because the Pokemon spoke for himself.
She was sad for a moment until Arbok cheered her up and made signs that he wanted to stay with her. Marie immediately got excited and asked Liam if he could. Liam was in a tight spot because he didn't know if he could trust Arbok to stay with her, but he knew he would be perfect for staying behind because he's so lazy, so he just gives the Pokeball to Marie transferring it over to her. He would just have to catch another Arbok for Vivian in the future if she still wanted one.
They relax for the rest of the day playing mini-board games and watch some TV and movies until it was late at night. They headed to bed to get some sleep. Liam tried to contact Shadow to see what he was up to before he went to bed, and he told him that he was busy at the moment, causing Liam to raise an eyebrow and become curious about what they were still doing up.
