Kapitel 15: Lt. Surge

Liam had to admit he gave it all that night with Abigail, and even tho he was mad at her, after reading the letter, he felt something for her. "I'm sure we will meet later on in life because I do have to go to Mt. Silver in the future. '' Liam then went to the bar to get some food because he wasn't in the mood to do anything for the rest of the day. He decided he has to catch his Pokemon and give the others back when he meets the other two sisters in the future.

He wasn't interested in any of the Pokemon on these routes he's been traveling through. So he decided to keep using Shadow until he comes across something that Fancy's him. While he was at the bar thinking of his next move, red, green, and Ash walked in and noticed Liam right away, so they approached him and sat next to him. " Hey Liam, long time no see," said Ash, Green, and Red just nodded at him.

" Hey guys " Liam responded but wasn't in the mood to deal with them because he knew they wanted a battle, so he gave Ash his Pokeball with shadow and told them he wasn't in the mood to fight but they can go outside and have a struggle with shadow he doesn't need to be there. They were surprised that his Pokemon could still battle even without him being there.

They quickly headed outside to give it a try. Liam had sent a mental command to shadow to battle those guys and shadow just said "ok." 30 minutes later they came back into the bar looking depressed because they had sent out all there Pokemons against Shadow and even at one point it was three versus one, and they still couldn't beat him.

They sat down with a sour face and shadow than returned to Liam's shadow as Ash handed his Pokeball back to him. "Don't worry, guys. He's a high-level that's why you guys didn't stand a chance but keep getting stronger, and one day, you might make him sweat?" Liam said with his mood a little better after witnessing their defeated face.

Green blushed and asked Liam how was his journey so far and how did his Pokemon get so intense. Liam noticed the blush and signed because he could tell red liked green and so he didn't want to get in the middle of that and become a cockblocker. "I trained every day and battled a lot of trainers," Liam said than told them a little bit on how to train each of their Pokemons after he let them bring them out.

Liam went to look around the city before heading back to the Pokemon center to get Shadow healed up from today's battle and catch some z's. Shadow had leveled up to 42 after battling with multiple opponents at the same time earlier. Liam fell asleep in the lounge.

The next day he woke up, picked up a shadow from nurse Joy, got some breakfast, and head to the gym to get his third badge. When he got to the gym, there was a tree blocking the path to the gym, so he had Shadow use the shadow movement to go around it with him. Inside he faced a few trainers who use Electric Pokemon but quickly defeated them.

Now comes the hard part: Lt. Surge, the gym leader, has put electric locks on the door that leads to him, so Liam had to solve puzzles. There are a bunch of trash cans he had to find and flip a switch. He needed to flip two switches for the door to open, so he needed to find the second switch. The second switch is always either above, beside, or below the first one.

If you get it wrong, the switch will be reset, and he would have to do everything over again. This is a very tricky and sometimes annoying puzzle, but he solved it, and when the doors opened, Lt. Surge was standing there with a grin on his face and said, " I hope you won't disappoint me like the last brats that came in here. None of them were able to defeat one of my pokemon after defeating the gyms Pokemon even when they used all their Pokemons.

They were simply weak, and I told them to quit being trainers to go suck their mom's tits again because they were far too early to come off it". Liam chuckled and only responded by having Shadow come out of his shadows with a roar. This sight shocked Surge and got him excited to be able to fight someone reliable this time around.

He could see the aura around shadow and Liam as they got to the battlefield. One of the gym aids came to ref the battle and started to announce the start of the fight. " Lt. Surge of the Sparky division Verses Liam of the Little Pallet town". Lt. Surge has the following Pokemon: an lv. 21 Voltorb, an lv. 18 Pikachu, and an lv. 24 Raichu. Liam has Shadow destroy all of them to receive the badge, and then. Lt. Surge asked if he wanted to face one of his pokemon, and Liam quickly agreed, which excited Surge.

He took out a ball with thunder shapes on it and threw it as bolts of thunder came out with the Pokemon that just came out. After the blinding Liam in bright lights, a level 58 Electabuzz comes out, so he tells Shadow to return and sends Arbok out who is a level 38 now.

"Arbok crunch" arbok than sends a projectile of a dark energy fang, and Electabuzz uses a mega punch to destroy it as it continues forward and knocks Arbok out. "Nice try, kid. I hope you have more installed for me." Liam doesn't say anything and has ditto level 53 come out and use transform to turn into Electabuzz. This new Surge a little bit as he commanded him to use thunder.

Liam was surprised that he used his most substantial move right off the bat and told ditto to dodge and use the quick attack on him. When the astonished, it caused a small crater. Still, ditto was already gone and appeared behind Electabuzz smashing into him and following up with a thunderbolt causing Lt. Surge to raise an eyebrow at the combo they just performed.

Surge than orders a thunderbolt, and Liam quickly counters by having ditto perform a light screen, which blocks a little of the fast flash, but it still breaks through and hits ditto knocking him to the ground. Ditto gets back up and charges up a thunderbolt as Electabuzz does the same, and they both unleashed it at the same time, knocking them both out, but Electabuzz was the winner after because he got back up.

The surge started clapping, saying he hasn't seen anyone knock Electabuzz down in a long time. Liam than summons Shadow back out." Let's finish this quick shadow I'm getting tired and hungry. Shadow could only nod his head as he charges forward and uses water pulse hitting Electabuzz, causing him to look like he was short socketed.

Shadow follows up with thunderbolt doing double damage because of the water and finishing him off with the dragon rush. Lt. Surge saluted Liam and thanked him for such a great battle. " You got backbone kiddo here's a tm thunder wave to teach to that strange Pokemon of yours since he could learn electric moves. Liam than left after chatting with Lt. Surge about the chaos team rocket is causing.
