Art appeared on the platform and saw the scarlett train with people rushing around. He let out a smile before looking around for his friends. He soon spotted the Weasleys who were with Harry. He made his way towards them and put the unsuspecting Fred in a headlock.
"Ger off me!" he muttered, fighting usually against Art.
"Weak as ever, you better start working out." Art quipped, laughing at his friend.
Fred finally pushed him off and fixed his messy hair before giving Art a hug which George soon copied.
"Good to see you guys." Art muttered into their shoulders.
"Good to see you Mrs. Weasley, I apologize for that." Art said with a guilty expression.
Mrs. Weasley gave Art a motherly hug and said, "Boys will be boys. Good to see you Artland."
"Harry! You're looking thicker! Mrs. Weasley must have been feeding you well." Art said as his eyes scanned the skinny black haired boy.
"She is a great cook." Harry said causing Mrs. Wealsey to smile.
Art also noticed that Charlie Weasley was here and another man that had to be the oldest brother, Bill.
"Good seeing you again Charlie. Artland Cason. Please to meet you finally, Fred and George talk a lot about." Art introduced himself to Bill, the only Weasley he hadn't met yet.
Bill was tall and thin, like the twins, his red hair pulled back into a ponytail and a large earring with a fang on it. By all definitions, Art had to admit that Bill was 'cool'.
"Heard lots about you as well, that you even got these troublemakers to behave in class." he said will a smile, causing Fred and George to scowl.
"They are gifted wizards… when they try." Art smirked, shooting a glance at the twins.
"Well I hope you have fun this year! It should be an interesting one, makes me wish I was back in Hogwarts." Charlie said, with a slight daydream look on his face.
"What do you mean?" Ron asked.
"Triwizard Tournament of course." Art said casually, earning himself shocked looks from the Weasley family.
"Sorry…" he muttered, "Aunt Amelia told me."
"Okay, everyone on the train." Mrs. Weasley said, pushing everyone towards the train.
Before anyone could ask any questions, they were boarding the train where Art found Cedric had already found them a compartment.
The twins and Art quickly stowed their luggage above their heads and sat down.
"What is the Triwizard Tournament." Fred finally got out, looking at Art.
"A tournament between the three biggest schools in Europe of course." Cedric answered quickly, giving the twins a strange look.
Fred and George looked stunned and started to pepper Cedric with questions. A few minutes later they were extremely excited and were basically bouncing in their seats.
"We have to enter. Do you know how the Champions are picked?"
"No idea." Art said, balling his hands into fists, he too was excited.
"More importantly…" Cedric trailed off as he looked at Art with a cunning smile, "Does this mean we will finally meet your mysterious girlfriend?"
The twins were surprised and looked at Art with the same cunning smile Cedric had.
"I suppose you will." Art sighed, not knowing how to deal with his friends.
They all let out strange chuckles as they sat back and didn't say anything else on the matter.
Annoyed with the atmosphere, Art shifted the attention away from him. "What about you Ced, did you go and see Cho this summer?"
The twins took the bait and immediately looked at Cedric with raised eyebrows, waiting for him to answer the question.
Cedric was flustered at first but quickly calmed himself down. "Twice." he muttered.
The twins howled with laughter and continued to pester Cedric with questions. Art had a superior look on his face when he saw Cedric glare at him.
'That's what you get.'
The rest of the ride was debating on what they thought the tasks would be and the glory of actually winning the tournament. The train soon stopped and they found themselves in the pouring rain. Art waved his hand and a barrier protected him from the rain. The others quickly did the same and jumped into a carriage, earning looks from others who were soaking wet.
Entering through the doors, Art noticed Peeves floating above with what looked like water balloons. He smirked and pulled George back a few steps as a balloon fell directly on Ron.
Fred and George laughed loudly and Cedric took out his wand and sent Peeves away. They quickly entered the Great Hall and the Sorting Ceremony began. Art ignored most of it and tried to figure out who the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teaching was going to be this year. He saw an empty chair and was curious to see who Dumbledore found to teach this year.
Soon the Sorting Ceremony was finished and everybody began to dig in. Art noticed Hermione acting strange and not eating but he chose not to ask what was wrong, knowing he might face a million questions.
Soon Dumbledore spoke again but was interrupted by a rumble of thunder and the Great Hall door swinging open with a loud bang. A stranger in a traveler's cloak walked towards the head table, every step he took was a resounding clunk sound.
Art caught a glimpse of his face and was surprised. His entire face was covered in scars and even a chunk of his nose was missing. One of his eyes was fake and he looked like a cyborg.
"Mad-eye Moody." Art said under his breath, recognizing him.
"The Auror?" Fred asked quietly.
Art nodded, "They say that half the cells in Azkaban are filled because of him. He is the best of the best for Aurors." Art said seriously.
"And he is our new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher?" George asked, his eyes not leaving Moody.
Art suspicions were confirmed as Dumbledore introduced him as Professor Moody.
Soon everyone started heading out toward their perspective houses and as usual, Art had a meeting with Dumbledore and McGonagall about his classes.
Art bid farewell to the twins and waited outside her office. Soon Dumbledore and McGonagall showed up with another person, surprising Art.
"Art, this is Professor Moody." Dumbledore introduced them.
"Pleasure professor, I have read about your impressive exploits." Art said, shaking the scarred hand.
"Cason, eh? Albus says you are quite gifted." he grunted, his magical and real eye scanning him from head to toe.
McGonagall led them into her office where she spread out two parchments for Art to read.
"Due to your OWL results, which were incredible Mr. Cason, you have a choice to make about your future and NEWTs." she explained.
Art read over the list and set them back on her desk. "I wish to continue with my classes for now and take Alchemy if it is possible." he said.
Dumbledore frowned a bit, "You are the only one who has requested this class as it is incredibly difficult."
"That's fine professor, I will learn it on my own." he said with a shrug. Learning on his own wasn't a big deal.
Moody still seemed to be looking at him but didn't say anything, causing Art to feel strange.
"Okay. Madam Pomfrey is more than willing to teach you, as is Professor Flitwick." Dumbledore finally said, dismissing Art.
"A moment Mr. Cason." McGonagall said. "I'm wondering what your plans are after school?"
All eyes turned to him, interested in his answer.
"I don't know. Travel." Art answered, shrugging his shoulders.
"So you don't plan on joining the Ministry?" McGonagall asked.
"No. I don't like the Ministry."
Moody let out a loud cackle that sort of scared Art.
