It was 4 PM.
Lina came out of the OPD with the Professor. It was a long day. Patients were coming non-stop. First time in the OPD and having these amount of patients, she was little bit startled. But the professor was there to help her out.
He was an amazing guide to her and made her comfortable with his explanations and guidence.Sge wished to be here everyday.
A day spent in the clinic with the professor was equal to studying for an entire semester.
They passed the nursing station discussing cases. The Professor loved to explain cases to his students. According to him these type of interaction solidify the bond between the teacher and the students.
The nurses present there couldn't believe their eyes seeing Professor Shin talking and laughing with some student.
Prof. Shin was famous as a serious person. It was rare to see him talking or smiling randomly. The nursing staffs could not help but started gossiping immediately.
Suddenly Prof. Shin's phone started ringing. He frowned over the caller ID.
"Excuse me for a minute Miss Park." Professor Shin walked to a corner excusing himself.

-- "Yeah, just finished."

-- "No. Not Yet. "
-- ....
-- "Just heading out."
-- ...
-- "Thank you my dear waisheng ( 外甥 = nephew ). I'm glad that you remembered." He laughed.

-- "That's great. I was thinking of introducing someone to you too."
-- .....
-- It's a surprise. "
-- ...
-- "Of course. I'll See you there then. "
Professor Shin longingly looked at the phone even after hanging up.
The people who were present there started pinching themselves not believing their eyes.
'Something is wrong today.'
'Prof. Shin smiled over the phone. That person must be someone special'
They started whispering among themselves which quieted down as soon as the professor turned around looking for Lina.
"Sir, I guess you are busy. I'll head out then. Thank you for today." Lina bowed to bid goodbye.
" Umm… Miss Park." He called.
"You missed the lunch today due to the OPD. Would you mind joining this old man to the lunch? "
Lina was utterly puzzled.
"Sir, No need to worry. I don't want to cause you any trouble. I'll get some."
" Miss Park. It was my fault that you missed your lunch. Regard it as an apology from myself."
""What are you saying sir! Oh my god NOoo…, It's not your fault sir. It's really okay." Lina was vigorously shaking her head.
"Am I interrupting something? Your date? "
"Nooooo.... sir. I don't have any boyfriend." Lina awkwardly answered while trying to cover her reddened cheeks.
"Good. Then accompany this old man on his birthday. Take it as my birthday wish. "
Lina was literally taken aback. She had never seen this side of Prof. Shin. Thanks to the rumors she was always afraid of him. And then, here he is, acting like an old grandpa, nagging his grandchildren for attention.
Lina could not help but laughed at the warmth of his words.
"Happy birthday sir. Many many happy returns of the day." she bowed to him.
"Thank you, Miss Park. Then will you fulfill the birthday wish of this old man?"
Lina smiled brightly "Yes sir."
