Kapitel 34: Let's Go to The Cinemas
The new entertainment anchor recruited at Mehra TV was doing pretty well. Within a few days he has familiarized himself with all members of staff at Mehra TV.
His intention was to work his way up, he planned on being a manager there someday. He was a very hard working young man.
At the rate he was going, he knew too much for a new recruit. He was near to perfect at his job. The TV audience loved him and the entertainment show got even higher ratings because of him.
News quickly got out about his performance to the manger at Mehra TV. The manager was impressed with human resources department for hiring him that he increased their bonuses.
The entertainment show also branched out, new ideas were introduced to the show and everything worked out fine.
Yuvi and Desha also heard about his performance. Desha was excited to see him that she could not wait till the following week.
Her wishes almost came through, but she was informed by her course mates at the university that one of their lectures had decided to give his test that week instead of 2 weeks ahead.
He was going on a business trip for the University the following week. It was an impromptu trip that required his attention.
He won't be back until a months time. There was a substitute lecturer but he preferred his students taking his test instead of that of the substitute lecturer's.
Desha had no choice but to wait till the following week to have a chat and learn from the new entertainment anchor.
Jasmine and Sonal were not left out, they also heard of how the new entertainment anchor was performing.
Sonal was happy for him but she said to Jasmine, that could have been me in the lime light, she started feeling sad again.
Sonal I know how just what to do to cheer you up. How Jasmine? Sonal replied. Why don't you come downstairs and open your front door.
Alright Jasmine, but I hope it is worth it girl? It is worth it, I promise replied Jasmine. Alright will call you back and she ended the call.
Sonal went downstairs and didn't ask the help to open the front door as instructed by Jasmine. As soon as she opened the front door, Jasmine with a wide smile said surprise.
On seeing Jasmine, Sonal was excited. I told you it is worth it. I wanted to surprise you, so I didn't inform you I was coming over.
Excited Sonal said, come inside Jasmine, don't just stand outside. Jasmine came inside and Sonal shut the door afterwards.
Upstairs in Sonal's room, Jasmine and Sonal gisted, they talked about everything, about how Sonal will get another opportunity soon at other media houses and someday maybe at Mehra TV.
They talked about Jasmine's date out with Rohit and how she is coping without him around. All of a sudden Jasmine's face felt dull and Sonal asked her about it. She opened up that it is about Rohit.
Rohit has not called her since the last time they spoke and anytime she calls him, he either says he is very busy that he can't talk right now or says he will call her back.
I feel there is a friction between us, Rohit is really cold over the phone. Am worried the distance between us is beginning to affect our relationship.
Why don't you try giving him a call now and explain your worries said Sonal. It's of no use Sonal, I tell him every time we speak over the phone.
And what does he say? He always says I have nothing to worry about, that it is work, that he has to seal that contract for Burih firm, that it is very important.
Well Jasmine, in the case stop worrying over nothing. It's going to be fine, said Sonal. I hope so too and very soon, Jasmine replied.
Well you know what? asked Sonal. What? asked Jasmine. Let's go to the movies and watch a movie or two. I love the popcorn they sell at Delhi cinemas.
Seriously Sonal! You want to go Delhi cinemas because you love the popcorn sold there? They both laughed.
Come on girl, off course not, am just trying to cheer my best friend up and it's working right? asked Sonal. Yes it's working and very well at that replied Jasmine.
Alright I will get dressed. Within 3O minutes, Sonal got dressed and they both went to the Delhi cinemas. They took the driver and bodyguards assigned to Sonal.
Meanwhile at the Mehra mansion...
Purhab just finished speaking to his parents on the telephone. He came home earlier today and allowed Yuvi handle the rest of the work at the office.
After the call with his parents, he went downstairs and beckoned on his wife. Dad and mum called, I just finished speaking with them on the phone.
Yes dear when are they coming back? They were supposed to come back from Udi mountain this week.
That is true Lakshmi. They were supposed to come back this week but they won't be coming back. What Happened dear? Why won't they be coming back?
Well according to dad, they loved the locals near Udi mountain. So they decided to stay at their village permanently. I tried to convince mum to convince dad to come back.
But it was all mum's idea that she and dad stay over at the village near Udi mountain. Then I tried to convince them I want to build a descent home over there for them, but they should come home first.
They didn't agree, they mentioned they did not want to intimidate the locals with their wealth, that they loved the smell of pine wood in the house they are currently living in.
Dad also mentioned that it would be easier for them to visit Udi mountain from there. They sends their love and said they would come visit us some day.
Purhab loves his parents, Lakshmi loves hers father and mother in-laws and the kids loves their grandparents.
Although Lakshmi was not happy they did not come back, she still tried to cheer her husband up by trying to crack a joke.
She said, but look on the bright side, we can take the kids on a vacation there someday to visit their grandparents. They both laughed, felt better and after that and thought of a way to inform the kids of their grandparents decision to stay in the village with the locals near Udi mountain.
