Kapitel 33: The Drill
It was 5am the next day that the drill started, everyone at the military base was expected to be there early and on time, anyone found wanting was punished.
The type of punishment that was dreadful to all, no soldier wanted to be punished, everyone except one skinny soldier made their way to the field for the drill on time.
This skinny soldier was then severely punished. The punishment that was given was for him to sit under the hot sun all day with his uniform off.
What he was allowed to wear was only his boxers and foot ware. The hot sun that roasted his body that day ensured he never repeated that mistake again.
In fact after that punishment he became the first to arrive at the field for the drill everyday from that day.
The drill for that day was for all soldiers, both old and new to carry heavy sacks from one end of the military base to another.
This was carried out through untill 5pm. When it was 5pm the soldiers were released and allowed to go eat and rest till the following day.
Some new recruits who fainted midday were made to quit the military after they regained consciousness.
The military was for strong hard working people and not for lazy bones; they were made to understand that by Gevan Arora.
Meanwhile at Bombay...
At 5pm Rohit stepped out of his suite to go have dinner at the restaurant downstairs with his assistant.
At that same time Sunita Bhatt was at his floor, some of her friends who came from afar to support her at the ball were in one of the suites.
She was just leaving to go back to the Bhatt mansion. She had taking her friends out earlier in the day for a tour in Bombay. After the tour, she came back to their suite with them.
Rohit suddenly remembered he forgot his wallet and decided to rush back to his suite on the floor.
While rushing back, he was looking down, he was searching his pocket to bring out the key of his suite.
As it is, his assistant was already waiting for him at their table in the restaurant. Rohit had the company's ATM to pay for their meals so he didn't want to order yet.
Sunita was on we chat, she wasn't looking at where she was going either. All of a sudden she noticed that she had bumped into someone.
It was Rohit but she did not know who he was nor his mission here at Bombay. She never paid close attention to Bhatt Conglomerates and who it deals with.
Rohit's key to his suite fell down and Sunita's cell phone cell aswell. At the same time they both siad in unison, am sorry.
They both bent down to pick their fallen items. When they stood up, Rohit froze, he was speechless, she was so beautiful, it quickly came to his memory that she was same beauty who played the piano at the ball.
Hello, Sunita said and Rohit came back to reality. Hello am...before she introduced her self, her phone rang... it was her mum calling.
Please excuse me she said, and Rohit said off course. She picked up and said, hello mum, Sunita where are you? I have been expecting you home by 4pm.
And you know you refused taking the bodyguards along with you. Mum am at Bhatt Hotel and Suites. Am on my way home now, you don't have to worry anymore.
When the call ended, she informed the gentleman who she bumped into that she has to take her leave.
Off course miss, Rohit replied and she went towards the elevator. When she was out of sight, Rohit suddenly remembered she had not introduced herself.
Who is she, he pondered for a few minutes, he then hoped he sees her again, maybe at the hotel again he thought.
Rohit's assistant was starving, when he caught sight of Rohit, he was relieved. When Rohit sat down, he asked, what took you so long? I was getting the company's documents in order. Work is important, Rohit lied.
You need to take it easy Rohit, the assistant spoke again, you should relax sometimes, this life is not all about work.
Remember the saying; all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy? Yes true but am no Jack, am Rohit. They both laughed and ordered their meal afterwards. After dinner, they both returned to their separate suite respectively.
At the Mehra mansion...
They were having dinner, everyone was missing Prakash, his mum Lakshmi suddenly spoke, I wonder what Prakash is having for dinner?
Purhab his dad spoke, the boy is grown, am sure he is doing fine, you really don't have to worry yourself, he tried to cheer her up.
Yes mum dad is right, Desha spoke. By the way that reminds me dad, Yuvi spoke. What is it son, asked Purhab?
Now that the contract with White George Corporations has been finalised, will you be chanced with mum to go over with me to see our future in-laws?
Remember dad that Natasha's dad requested to see both you and mum? Yes that is true son. Well this weekend should be fine. Lakshmi dear will that be okay with you? Yes dear it is okay, she replied.
Ah Desha, how is the Public Relations training going on with you? Purhab asked. Well dad, it's going great. Yuvi and I agreed that I will work with the new entertainment anchor. Am planning to do that Next week.
That is true dad, said Yuvi, you know the new entertainment anchor will be the one to cover Delhi's University's convocation ceremony. So I figured it's best Desha works with him.
That is great son, said Purhab. And Desha do not waste this opportunity. I won't dad, said Desha.
Well please let's finish up our meals before it gets cold, Lakshmi advised. Ok mum everyone at the table said in unison and continued eating.
After the meals, they all retired to their respective rooms, the butlers and maid cleared the table afterwards.
