Kapitel 11: Chapter 10: Statement Made

As their fist collided with one another an explosion went off sending dust and debris flying in all directions. As everyone looked at the dust cloud that had just formed they saw a man flying out of it at an incredible speed hurdling towards one of the massive stone walls while ripping off the stone from the floor when he bounced on it. As the man collided with the wall a massive hole appeared behind him causing a part of it to collapse atop of him. When everyone turned back to see who was left standing they saw the dust clearing and Ace standing straight up with lightning crackling around his body and a smile across his face.

As they were awestruck with Aces raw power they heard from behind them the rubble that once was part of the wall being moved and shoved, falling to the ground. When the rubble was finally moved they saw their Vice-admiral with blood covering his face and his arm dangling as if it was lifeless, crawling out from the rubble breathing deeply and with difficulty. When Ace saw the man standing he was quite surprised as he had punched the man with most of his strength and he had also coated his fist with a light layer of haki at the last split second. Although it seemed as though Enzos arm was completely shattered and useless now from his punch.

Enzo seeing the young man in front of him smiling as if he was enjoying a morning breeze made chills go up his spine and made him want to run and call for reinforcements. He thought even if his crew is 1/100th of his strength then his men were totally screwed. Thinking on his feet he rose from the ground and tore a blood-splattered piece from his white Vice-admiral coat and waved it in the air signifying that he was surrendering to Ace and his crew. Enzo unlike most people in this world seemed to be very rational and more instinctive on keeping himself and his men alive then protecting the face of the marines and wanting to die when it wasn't even necessary, especially when all the man wanted was materialistic things such as money.

Everyone seeing this even Ace included was quite astonished by the actions that this Vice-admiral was taking. The marines didn't know how to feel about the situation, on one hand, the admiral was hoping to save their lives by surrendering to the pirates' demands but on the other they were upset since he was throwing away all of their pride as men. Aces crew was quite astonished themselves not by the fact that their captain had won but that he had won so easily against what was a Vice-admiral level marine. This brought pride to them and even more respect to the man that was their leader and even if they didn't know it yet their soon to be Emperor.

Ace himself didn't know how to feel about the man in front of him yet at first he thought he'd fight until his last breath but now he was calling for surrender. Ace asked the man through the eerily quietness that was the marine base and said "Why are you surrendering old man? I thought you were gonna fight for your men or are you just a coward who just wants to beg for his life?". Enzo hearing the boy responded to him saying "All I want is for my men to be spared nothing else. If you still wish to kill me go right ahead but if you are going to try and slaughter my men or any of the other innocent people near us or on our island than you'll have to tear the skin and muscle from my bones before I stop trying to bring you down". Ace laughing at what Enzo had said to him looked right back at him and stated "As I said before all I wanted was the treasure that you have here but since you wanted to put up a useless struggle I have to punish you, so what I'll do is destroy this whole base but you have my word that your men and all of the innocent people on an around this island won't be harmed. Now Order your men to leave here and not come back until me and my crew has left".

Enzo then ordered his men to evacuate the base and hide on the island until the pirates left. The marines within a matter of minutes had all swarmed out of there and into the neighboring woods waiting for the pirates to leave. When Ace saw that all of them had left he ordered his crew to get off the ship and raid the base of the marines to find anything of value. As soon as the men jumped from the ship they all took off like a pack of wild animals that had been caged up for too long and sprinted in a frenzy trying to find anything of value that they could either sell or use. After a few hours, almost the whole base was completely wiped out of anything of value the only thing they hadn't raided yet was a vault that they had found underneath the base that they needed Ace to open. Ace then made his way to the vault with Capone by his side and when he got there instead of just ripping off the massive metal door, he decided that he wanted to use his devil fruit powers to see if he could electromagnetism to open the door. After a few minutes of intense concentration, the door started to spin and open on its own like it was supposed to. When the door was finally Ace started to laugh and smile as all he saw was piles of money and gold with a few other expensive miscellaneous items lying around.

Ace then ordered Capone to let the crew that was inside him to hop out and start storing all of the gold and money inside himself for safe keeping. Luckily for Ace, Capone was like a walking storage building that was the size of a literal castle or else he wouldn't know what to do with all of this money, gold, and men. Within a few minutes, the whole vault was cleared out and all that was left behind were three small chests with locks on them that were hidden underneath the money and gold as if not wanting it to be discovered. Ace then walked up to the chest and when he opened them using his devil fruit powers all he could do was just be astonished by his own luck. He was quite surprised by just having the 'D' in your name could bring you so much luck. As he looked down at the chests he saw 2 devil fruits and some books, when he picked up the books he skimmed through all of them except one apparently the ones he had skimmed through were the training manuals required in order to do teach the Rokushiki techniques, while the other one was a book listing all of the known devil fruits and some of their abilities.

Although Ace himself really didn't need the techniques his crew and certain individuals of his choosing did need to learn some of them if they wanted to become even stronger. As Ace tossed the devil fruits and books to Capone for safe keeping he ordered all of the men to return back to the ship to prepare to destroy the marine base and so that they could set sail right afterward. When everyone finally boarded the ship he ordered his men to then set off all the bombs that they had planted all over the base and to begin firing upon it to turn it all into a pile of stones, dirt, and debris.

When the base was left with nothing standing Ace ordered for his crew to begin sailing away, and as they were about to leave he yelled into the den den mushi speaker towards the woods that they better tell the world government to give him a high bounty or that he would be back for them.
