Kapitel 33: Letter, preparations and crew

The next morning, Kaito after breakfast wrote a letter for Kalifa, Kaito wanted to ask her to join his crew, and also explained the reasons for his request and why she was the only one to whom he asked. Kaito wasn't sure if she would accept, he was sure if he could bring both of them, but he wasn't sure if only one could come. After writing the letter he went to his grandfather's office where he delivered the letter and his decision. Sengoku took the letter and told Kaito that he would send the letter and take care of everything in case Kalifa agreed to join his crew.

That same day Kaito began sending his belongings to the ship he had chosen. I take advantage and ask the progress with your request for customization of the boat.

Official - well, we have already removed the previous sails and now we are waiting for them to finish preparing the new sails, once they are ready we will place them and the ship will be ready, we also have to take care of transporting enough supplies for several days inside the warehouses ship's -

Kaito - OK, surely the crew will be ready in about three days -

Official - very well, in that case you can inform them by that time that they can start bringing their belongings to the ship -

Kaito - okay, how long do you think the ship will be ready to sail? -

Official - if there is no setback, in a week you can sail -

Kaito - okay -

Kaito said goodbye to the shipyard officer and returned to his room.

Kaito - (I hope the ship is ready for the scheduled date, I promised Hancock to go to her island as my first destination) -

Luckily for Kaito, Amazon Lily Island was near Marineford and was within the area that Sengoku had assigned him to watch as his first assignment as captain.

Although it seemed that Sengoku still wanted to keep him close to the headquarters, Kaito didn't care, Kaito could understand that his grandfather cared for him, although he was almost certain that it was his grandmother's business, that he was designated to that area.

Surely over time they would give you more freedom and better missions to perform. Kaito hoped that would happen soon.

...

A few days later, on a certain island in the Calm Belt, a messenger seagull delivered the letter written by Kaito. The chief instructor already knew about the situation related to the letter and personally delivered the letter to Kalifa.

Chief Instructor - Kalifa -

Kalifa - yes sir -

Chief Instructor - this letter has arrived, read it and tell me your answer -

Kalifa was surprised by the words spoken by the chief instructor, after taking the letter and reading it, her face showed surprise.

Kaku - what happens Kalifa, who sent you the letter and what is written in the letter? -

Kalifa - it's a letter from Kaito -

Kaku - from Kaito, and what does it say? -

Kalifa - asks me to go to Marineford and join the army and be his second in command -

Kaku - what! -

Kalifa ignored Kaku's surprise and just handed him the letter for him to read as well, meanwhile she looked at the head instructor.

Kalifa - and does Cipher Pol agree? -

Chief instructor - yes, but in the beginning, Kaito asked that you both join, but the high commandes did not allow it and only let one be the one who joins, and only do it for consideration of Sengoku -

Kaku just read the letter, it also explained the reasons for the letter. Kaku by his side, began to think.

Kaku - (surely he chose Kalifa for what he feels for her, it was about time he recognized him, although I still doubt that he recognizes him, well, I think this is good, Kalifa has been somewhat down since Kaito's departure) –

Kaku had been worried about her partner's mood for days, she had been somewhat distracted during the training bouts and it didn't help the situation, when she met with the members of the advanced group where she met a few days ago. Apparently Cipher Pol's senior officers were thinking of designating the advanced group and the group of Kaku and Kalifa in one of the most important divisions of Cipher Pol, Kaku was excited by the idea, but Kalifa didn't show the same emotion.

Kalifa - what do you think Kaku? -

Kaku - well, I think it would be a good idea to join Kaito's crew -

Kalifa - do you think so? -

Kaku - yes. Also, I think you'll be more comfortable with Kaito than with the others, they're good companions, well if we don't count that stupid Jabra, but you'll be better with him -

Kalifa listened to his partner and sighed, he was right in saying that she would be better off with Kaito. Besides, she wanted to see Kaito again and spend more time with him. She didn't want to admit her feelings, but she couldn't ignore them either.

Kalifa - very well, then I will join the marina! -

Chief Instructor - Okay, so I'll do the necessary paperwork and leave for Marineford in two days, until then I'll report your answer in another letter -

Then the chief instructor left, and Kalifa went to her room to prepare her belongings. Kaku watched as Kalifa's mood had changed and seemed happier.

Kaku - (I hope those two clarify what they feel for each other) -

...

A few days later, the letter from the chief instructor had arrived and Sengoku informed Kaito. Kaito was very glad to know Kalifa's response, the bad thing was that he got too excited by making his grandmother Tsuru suspect of his relationship with Kalifa. Tsuru didn't stop questioning Kaito about it, she didn't say it, but she liked the idea of joining her grandson with Hina more.

In the end, Kaito was able to avoid more questions thanks to his grandfather who gave Tsuru a mission.

Tsuru - do not feel relieved that when I return I will continue to ask what relationship you have with that woman! -

Kaito wanted to leave with his ship as quickly as he could before his grandmother returned to headquarters.

Sengoku - well well, Kaito, besides telling you this, I also want to tell you that the rest of your crew is ready, you can find them ready on your ship -

Kaito - OK, then I'll head to the shipyards ... I also wanted to ask you if I could sail now -

Sengoku - set sail now? But you won't wait before the last member of your crew arrives -

Kaito - yes, but since the area I have to watch is close to here, I would like to start sailing and familiarize myself with my crew, and it would not take more than one day to return here -

Sengoku - you're right, well, then it's fine -

Kaito - thanks, so now I go to the docks and sail tomorrow, I want you to call me by den den mushi when Kalifa arrives -

Sengoku - OK, before you go, I would like to know what range would be right for her, since it is you who knows her strength best -

Kaito - well, I think the one indicated would be commander or lieutenant commander -

Sengoku - ok -

Kaito after saying goodbye to his grandparents left for the shipyards. Once there he saw his ship ready, apart from the initial appearance, the sails were the only ones to be different, as Kaito had requested, the sails were blue with white letters.

Kaito - very good -

Officer - Captain Kaito finally arrives, I wanted to inform him that his ship was ready but the admiral of the fleet told me that he would be in charge of communicating it to him -

Kaito - so it was, well, the crew is already on board? -

Officer - yes, like your belongings and supplies everything is ready to sail -

Kaito - very well, then I will meet my crew and steer the ship to the docks to sail tomorrow -

Officer - as orders –

Kaito boarded the ship and saw several Marines carrying boxes or chatting. When a marine saw Kaito and his uniform, he immediately caught the attention of the other Marines.

Marine - officer aboard! -

The Marines heard this and headed to the main deck where they formed ranks. Kaito watched them carefully.

Kaito was already wearing his captain's outfit, wearing black shoes, navy blue pants, a white shirt with a navy blue vest, and on his shoulders he wore the officer's jacket with the word "justice" on his back. In addition to this, he wore his katana hanging from his waist on the left side, he also wore his gloves and his glasses. These two elements did not change with their previous appearance.

Any woman could tell how handsome Kaito looked with that clothing, the glasses gave him an intellectual air, his white skin seemed like he had never worked, and his entire blue eyes could hypnotize anyone who was watching him during a lot of time.

The Marines felt intimidated and enthralled by Kaito's appearance.

Kaito - hello everyone, you may have already been informed, but I will introduce myself first. My name is Kaito and I will be the captain of this ship from now on and you will be my subordinates -

Marines - yes sir! -

Kaito - for the moment there will be no second on board, it has not yet arrived so for the moment if you have to communicate something, you communicate it directly to me -

Marines - yes sir! -

Kaito - we will sail tomorrow, so be ready by then -

Marines - yes sir! -

Kaito - you can continue with your work, but first I wanted to talk to Corporal Tashigi -

After the Marines dispersed Tashigi stood there, Kaito approached her.

Kaito - hello, we meet again -

Tashigi - hello ... Captain -

Tashigi was very surprised when she saw the boy she had met several days ago as her new captain, even though she had come to Marineford to continue her training, for some reason she had been assigned to be a new captain's crew.

Kaito - don't be so nervous, you will surely have questions to ask me, and forgive me if you would rather stay at the headquarters to train -

Tashigi - nothing happens, on the contrary, I like to be able to sail and start fighting pirates and find famous swords -

Kaito smiled as he listened to Tashigi, after that, he talked with her for several minutes, then said goodbye and returned to his room.

Kaito - (well, I've got Kalifa to join my crew, and it's lucky that it takes me a long time to get here, it will give me enough time to go to Amazon Lily and prevent Kalifa and Hancock from meeting) -

Kaito wanted to prevent those two from meeting because he didn't know what would happen if they did and before he knew it he wanted to avoid it. Luckily he had enough time to fulfill his promise with Hancock and visit her on his island, until he was informed that Kalifa had arrived at Marineford.
