Kapitel 19: Elevator Romance
Lilith took off her clothes as soon as they entered their room. Samael did the same and they went straight to the bathroom. The bathroom has a curtain in the middle of two showers, one toilet and a sink. No one spoke until Samael and Lilith finished, Lilith headed out wearing a black dress with slitted sides up to her waist wearing black shorts underneath and to finish, she wore fishnet stockings and flaming red boots.
"I never knew you had a soft side Suna" Samael teased. Lilith glared at him.
"Stop calling me by that name Mael. My name is Lily, Lilith Lucilfer" Lilith raised her voice.
"Why do you hate our names Suna?" Samael didn't listen but instead asked again using her old name. "You know you can drop your facade when you're with me Suna, I'm your brother, you can actually trust me" He added. Lilith sighed and sat down the couch.
"I don't know Hiro, I always feel like father's watching what we do every single time. It's suffocating." Suna finally opened up and hug a small pillow. Akihiro is Samael's given name by their mother, Akumi.
"Father assigns me missions but he never kept an eye on me. I don't know about you Suna, and neither did he, that is probably one of the reasons he might be watching you. But, I'm sure you can find a way to get through that. You want to talk to Killua right?" his brother stated with such a kind look on his eyes.
Suna's eyes softened but it didn't took long for her to revert back to her usual face. "Suna wants to see her, Lilith does not. And I prefer Lilith's decision. Stop making fun of me Mael. I'm heading out" Lilith stated with a straight face and exited the room. She took a piece of hair elastic and was tying up her hair until she reached in front of the elevator. But to her surprise, someone dear was riding that same elevator.
Lilith lost grip of her hair making it gently fall down on her shoulder as she stared face to face with Killua who had just exited the elevator. Both of them didn't know what to say, they didn't even know what to do. Killua's eyes never broke off from hers and so did she. A few seconds passed and Lilith sighed and was about to walk past Killua when he held her by the wrist and pulled her back in his arms.
Killua was never that type of person, but she surprisingly brings out a different side of him every single time. Lilith's heartbeat was uncontrollable, she stood there motionless as Killua held her by the waist with one and hand and the other on her head. "I....." Killua trailed off whispering in her ear. ".....I thought I'd never see you again...Suna" he continued.
Suna's eyes widened and subconsciously answered "I...missed you" Killua felt a weird feeling in his chest hearing Suna say that. They broke from the hug but Killua was still a few inches away from her, Suna can feel his breath on her face and it actually smelled like mint.
"Why—Why do you look like this? Why are you so different? What happened to you? Where have you been? Are you doing fine after all this time, Suna?" Killua asked continuously as if begging for an answer from the girl but Suna just smiled bitterly and shook her head.
"I really shouldn't be talking to you Killua. I need to go, I have a match" Suna bid farewell and was about to go when Killua spoke.
"Stay here. Please" It was like a spell cast upon on Suna. She stopped dead on her tracks the moment she heard that. Suna turned around and saw Killua looking at her with a stern face.
Her heart skipped a beat. 'Darling, why are you looking at me like that?' she thought to herself but immediately shook the thought away.
"Killua, I need to go. I'll see you some other time" She tried her best to say that to him. Killua's eyes beamed.
"When? Can I see you after the match?" He asked and Suna sighed and nodded.
"Then I'll see you outside later, Suna." Killua stated looking forward to seeing her later. Suna smiled deep inside and was genuinely happy for the first time in a while.
"Yeah sure" She simply replied and turned her back on Killua to get on the elevator but before she stepped inside Killua grabbed her by the shoulders and took out a black shirt from his bag.
"I don't want others seeing you in that dress. You're too daring. Use this." Killua insisted and gave her his clothes.
"Why?"
"Don't ask why, stupid" Killua blushed.
"Well, I'll be taking my leave" Silence was all that ruled between them until the elevator dinged again. Suna stepped inside and faced Killua who's outside the elevator.
She meekly waved goodbye to him and so did he. The door closed and Suna was on her way down, Killua went on his way to get back to Gon with a smile on his face.
At the same time, a door closed and Mael smirked inside the room. He brought out his phone to call his father. "Mael, I don't have time right now—"
"It's about Lily, father" he cut him off.
"Continue"
"She's going out to see someone later, it's a guy." Samael stated. It took minutes for Chrollo to reply and before he did a loud crash resounded from his line.
"Make sure your sister won't be meeting him. If you don't go and try to stop her, you're not going to like your punishment, Mael."
"Yes father" with that, Chrollo ended the call. "You're in deep trouble little sis. I'm sorry, but I can't risk my life for a sister I haven't known or seen for years" Mael said to himself.
In all sense, it was true, Lilith's been with him for a couple of months and it certainly wasn't enough for Mael to go and save her when it's his own life he's paying.
