71.42% Who Said The Villainess Can't Be The Female Lead?! / Chapter 30: 10 Minutes

Kapitel 30: 10 Minutes

"Wait, we already have a company lawyer?" Lia asked and turned her head to face Annie who casually mentioned about the papers stacked on the table.

Annie blanked out for a second obviously confused but she suddenly remembered that Lia haven't met the others yet.

"Yeah, hahaha it seems that I forgot to tell you." Annie giggled in a silly manner.

"What did you forgot to tell me?" Lia frowned and pouted slightly upon sensing that Annie did in fact forgot to tell her an important note.

"Well, actually besides you, me and Ms. Ivy there are still others who was already handpicked by the boss. Anyway, you can't meet them yet because they are stated in different countries as of now." Annie continued to sip on her orange juice after explaining the detail that she forgot to tell Lia about.

"Ohhh" Lia spoke a sound of slight amazement to her current finding.

'So, some of them are like Annie too. But why are they in different countries now? Also why are they not here?' Lia was silent for a while to mull over things.

She looked over at Annie indicating she should continue.

Annie cleared her throat and began explaining. "They are in different countries right now to finish off some of their personal problems before coming here in M City to permanently work in the company."

'I can expect most of them are foreigners.' Lia thought in-between of Annie's explanation.

"Another thing to know is that they'll be here in a month or so. The earliest one to come here would be...hmm... probably Lucy." Annie continued explaining while searching something on her phone.

"Lucy?" Lia asked intrigued by the unfamiliar name she never read before in the novel.

"Yeah, Lucy... Lucien Moreau." Annie stated before her phone rang quite expecting it to ring already.

"Excuse me, I have to take this." Annie said to Lia before excusing herself somewhere farther away to take the call.

"Lucy....Lucien? Ah! Lucien! I remember now!' Lia now remembered where she read that name in the novel. It was Lucien Moreau after all.

Lucien Moreau, is the famous exclusive designer of Twilight Agency. He's famous for only working under Twilight. Many had already asked him to conduct his own company or have his own runway shows back in his homeland, in Paris.

But he refused, didn't state the reason why. No readers also know why as the author didn't want to elaborate more about him.

Artists under Twilight, big or small would always take turns to receive awards such as "Trendsetter of the Year" thanks to Lucien.

'Oh, he was not exposed much in the novel, just casually mentioned here and about whenever there are awarding events or balls. But now I remember him.'

Lia was actually very intrigued to the 'others' that Annie mentioned. She knew those who worked in Twilight but...she didn't know which of them are the 'others' that Annie mentioned.

Also another thing she was currently thinking about is....

'Why am I the only one hired?!'

Lia sulked while thinking of possibilities. 'It is either not much people came in that day or she was the only one who's very eager or in dire help in need of pity points....another is that the company just have high standards.'

She didn't know whether to feel sad, angry or happy towards herself upon the cards of possibilities.

'Psh, who cares anyway? Let's just go back to work.' Lia waved her hand in the air, imagining the thought of shooing away those 'disturbances' and got back to her professional mode facing her computer.

The sound of Lia's speedy hands clicking the keyboard rang in the office as she is now alone, with Annie still talking to someone on the phone outside.

After 5 minutes, Lia was already done replying to thirty emails. She noticed indeed that although Twilight is just a starting agency, it seems to know a lot of resources around.

Lia pondered while cracking some of her joints in her hand.

'It must have come from the CEO' Lia have already made a hunch and she was pretty sure of it.

From Annie's guidance a few days ago, she was able to know the identities of these 'resources'. Some of them would include producers in some shows, some of them would be trainors of varying fields, coaches, there would also be cameramen and reporters.

She also guessed that although she and Annie are in charge of managerial in the company, she is aware that some of the emails should be taken care of the PR.

'Then those two must be one of the 'others' Annie mentioned.'

While waiting for Annie to come back, Lia decided to make a short report document on the emails she just received. She then forwarded it to Annie's computer so that she doesn't need to state all of them one by one. She also inlcuded some important notes written precisely on point.

After sending the file to Annie's computer, she heard the door opening to their office.

"Ms. Ivy" Lia stood up and greeted the newly entered Ivy Chen. In turn, Ivy nodded likewise.

"What brings you here?" Lia asked Ms. Ivy who's finding Annie who was out at the moment.

"Ah, Annie went out to take a call." Before Ivy could ask Lia already spoke.

"Hm, I'm here to tell you two to come upstairs in a while for a meeting. It will start at exactly 8:15 a.m." Ivy stated what she needed to tell the two and left.

"Ah, there's still 15 minutes left. Annie where are you, I'm extremely jittery when it comes to 10 minutes." Lia glanced at her wristwatch with a frown, her face serious upon seeing the minute hand ticking.

"Whatever, I'll wait for her for four minutes. I seriously have that habit still." Lia once again muttered under her breath, sitting back at her chair to wait for four minutes.

"Oh, good things I made a written report. Hehe, so smart" Lia rolled off in her chair whilst praising herself with a sick grin of narcissism.

As a perfectionist, Lia always sticks to her rules and principles. One of those, is the 10-minute rule that she have. As a member of those people who have 'obsession' over time, Lia always sticks to finishing tasks within her given time frame and she can't stand it when she can't finish her job within a time she set when she was still young.

But when she grew up, it doesn't happen anymore. However there are certain times, when she finished it earlier than she assumed, she would still get somewhat annoyed.

A close college friend of her's noticed her behavior and recommended her to a doctor. Well, of course Lia denied to stating she was busy but in the end she did go.

And it was found out that she has OCD just as her friend expected it to be.

Well because she's Lia, she didn't really mind it instead she's quite glad to have justification over her behavior.
