Kapitel 142: Chapter 142: The Shield of Britannia (1) (New)

Three Years Later….

"My, Alexandra," the maid brushed her hair with a loving expression, "So, beautiful…" She muttered.

Alexandra kept her purple eyes on the mirror; she showed no expression. All she did was just stared at herself; however, they would see a faint flush if one looked deep enough. As if it was her way of being happy with a compliment.

She raised her hand to tell the maid to stop as she jumped from her chair and Lolita dress and ran towards the door. Out of the room and downstairs, she stood there staring at the door.

It Opened, releveling the Older Gentlemen in his Military Uniform.

He immediately picked her up as a doctor, and the nurse also walked in. Today was physical for her. Most children, especially Orphans, get tested at the age of three. Her adopted father, the older gentlemen in Uniform, is the 2nd Major General Andrius Glycia. He was able to hold it off for the next three years to allow her to adjust.

Adrius held Alexandra close as he walked to the living room, and the nurse and doctor followed. They seemed to be a tab bit scared because of the cold aura Adrius seemed to be given off.

"Amazing…" The doctor said he immediately got set up and wanted to test the daughter of the famous Hero, General Adrius.

Adrius was even more shocked. His friend's journal affirmed Alexandra's incredible magical ability. But see it in person is different. A level above his own, his magic is S Rank. Only a handful of people in the world have this much magical power.

He looked at the broken machine that tested magical power burnt by the amount of energy that overloaded it. What's worse, this was an advanced model meet to test Magical Power above Rank A and S.

But, the fact that she destroyed it means she has so much power that the machine himself couldn't.

Sometime later…..

Alexandra laid her bed, Adrius, by her side with a book. As if trying to read her a bedtime story.

"I want to volunteer." She said, not feeling any little bit sleepy.

"Not," Adrius said immediately with no hesitation.

She shook her head. "No, I want to do."

"Alex, your only Six years old. You don't need…" He stopped talking; his daughter's determined eyes unsettled him.

"That's not what everyone says, and I pass all my class. I have reached a level of intelligence that bypasses most seniors. Even the most talented genius in our country was bested by.

Martial Arts, Bodyguards, Painting, Foreign Languages, Calligraphy, Piano, Dancing, science, Geography, medicine, I have learned all of them." Alexandra said seriously. "I can't be considered an average six-year-old child, although chronologically it is my age.

Dad, you have given every lesson I have ever wanted, even if somewhere hard to obtain. I loved all of them. But, with everything I have learned, it's….

Mages can volunteer in the force regardless of age or family. Even without your consent, I can still join." Alexandra bit her lip. Her eyes seemed to be shaking.

Adrius closed his book with a heavy sigh, and he stood up. "Just, give me some time."

"….." Alexandra looked as he walked out, closing the door behind him. She then laid back down; there is another reason. The Glycia family has always been a family, a general that serves the empire.

Adrius has no biological heir, and he became infertile due to injuries he obtained in the war. Because he could not get married, they are also had long passed in battles as for his other family members.

Alexandra is his only heir; she has proved herself a genius. But it needs to be more so. Ancestry is essential, but at times It becomes overshadowed by talent and youth. Adrius is getting on his years. Most likely, ten years from now, the title of the 2nd Major General will be taken from the Glycia Family.

She sees it every day how much stress he has towards his family lineage being giving to someone else. She has to make progress, bring peace, and protect the Empire of Britannia as its shield.

Her simple thought was that her father might not have ten years to wait until she was legally an adult.

A few months later….

The maids were crying at the door while her father looked somewhat worn. He looked sad.

"It's okay, and it's just training. You have been through it before." Alexandra said with a peachy face full of confidence. Mage Training takes three years; however, she plans to cut it short. She will find a way, even if she must make one.

After a few more moments of goodbyes, Alexandra hopped into the cold WW1 model military vehicle.

"Would you like a chocolate bar?" Said one of the male passengers in the back with her. Alexandra looked up at the youth who will be traveling to what is virtually Basic Training.

She puffed up her face and looked down. "No," she said, but it sounded reluctant and unbelievable.

There were giggles of the other men and women who were traveling with her. Who found the reaction adorable.

"Oh, what to do? I guess I have to throw it away?" Said the soldier in a playful voice. Alexandra looked up at him and saw he was about to throw the delicious chocolate bar out the window.

"No!" She yelled and grabbed the chocolate bar, her small face still scrunched up. "Don't waste food, and Don't liter!"

The other passengers couldn't help but laugh.
