As expected, Marcel had to pretend to be drunker than he was to stop the drinks from coming his way. He thought he could bluff his way by slowly sipping on his drink, but then the tipsy assistant director started telling him that real men should down the glass in one go. So he ended up drinking quite a number of glasses under his supervision.

He was happy once the food came out because now he could just focus on his meal, but he was still prompted to drink when the director gave a toast for his good performance on set over the past few days.

Even after they finished eating, they didn't let him go! They made sure he was part of the excitement with every chance they got. Now they were drunkenly asking people to show their talents, so Marcel pretended to be drunk out of his mind rather than do something so embarrassing.
