Kapitel 3: Terrifying. (3)

I was covered in beads of sweat, and my hands were sticky, I looked around only to see my father's body sprawled out on the floor, black and blue. I wanted to cry. I wanted to scream, but my mind was blank, almost as if my mind was switched off. "Honey?"
I whipped my head to the direction only to reveal my nother, sitting there with tears in her eyes. My mind switched back on, and tears formed in my eyes, "M-Mommy... T-They-"
She immediately wrapped her hands around ky tiny frame, sushing down my cries, with her eyes squeezed shut, whispering over and over, "Its alright, it wasn't your fault,"
But it seemed to me almost as if she was convincing herself that everything was alright.
She cradled me in her arms, before quickly escaping home to my brother, as soon as I walked inside of the house it no longer had warmth. It was cold, I watched as my mother picked up my baby brother with swollen eyes, she looked over too me and gently said "Sweetie, again, it isn't your fault."
I nodded with tears prickling my eyes, than headed to the washroom to try to clean myslef up.
