True to her word Jessica made it so Kaden had no choice but to sleep on the couch. She locked the spare rooms and the study. Jessica then said if anybody let him stay with them she double their monthly rent and denied them access to the kitchen. Jessica had the full authority of the penthouse and so they all were at her mercy. The boys and Ash were laughing their butts off at Kaden's predicament. Hinata found it funny too but tried her best to be supportive.
A small celebration was held in the living room. Kaden made sure everybody cleaned up after they were done. He did not want to sleep in their mess. Kaden was grateful that the furniture Jessica had picked out was high-end and quite comfortable. He quickly fell asleep excited about the next day. The night went by fast as everybody was too tired to stay up late. The next morning, an hour and a half before classes were to start, Kaden found himself awake. He felt refreshed. Kaden was used to sleeping on a cot in his library so the couch was not that much different. It was just a lot softer to sleep on.
Kaden's rest that night was uninterrupted. Some of the best night's sleep he had in a long time. He might see about putting the couch in the study. Kaden did not need a full-size bed. Nor anything as big as Jessica's bed to sleep soundly on. He after all had simple needs and desires. The extra time Kaden found himself with was spent doing his favorite hobby. He was reading the school handbook and learning all he needed to know. Kaden also reviewed his syllabus and studied the map of the school grounds. He would not be one of those new students that got lost at each turn.

After 5:45 pm Kaden would be free to do whatever he wanted providing he could afford it. His four classes each had their individual cost involved. Nothing on the station was for free and every student was expected to shoulder that burden. The school system was set up like a private college. The class went on for four quarters. Each quarter is two and a half months long. A half a month-long break for winter and a month and a half-long break for summer. It's all pretty standard. Currently an hour before the first day of school starts. Sitting at a big kitchen table that could easily fit a half dozen more people are Kaden and Jessica.
"Kaden, I bet you're excited for your first day. Grandma Ma wants me to remind you to not cause your teacher any trouble." Jessica said with a smile. "Ug, Do you have to sound like my mother," Kaden said as he looked up to the ceiling and shook his head in defeat.
"Hehehe, Auntie said to look after you since you are so bad at that," Jessica added as she giggled like the fourteen-year-old she was. "Jess, I wanted to ask you why have you changed so much?" Kaden said as he shamelessly pointed to her two oversize melons. "And not just there, your eyes and hair are different colors too." He added to stop her from popping a blood vessel.
"Huh, umm, you see when you start practicing magic. Some changes kind of just happen," Jessica answered vaguely. She hated how fast she had grown up. The reason for her hair and eye changes was not something she wants to share with him quite yet.
"Some changes are an understatement, you're like a completely different person," Kaden said under his breath as he started to eat breakfast in front of her. Jessica decided to just ignore his comment and finish her breakfast.
"Well, I'll see you at the end of the day, I'm sure it will be a long one for the both of us," She said as she picked up a leather briefcase and quickly left for work.
Being left with no one to talk to, Kaden made short work of his hash and eggs. He then left the kitchen knowing that the robot would clean up after him. Kaden decided to read a little bit before he went to his first class of the day.
It did not take long for the rest of the crew to wake and head to the kitchen for food. Hinata and Ash were the first two of the group to wake. Kaden had to admit that they looked cute in their school uniforms.
Knee-high navy blue skirts with matching blazers. The school emblem on the blazer's left pocket. They both wore a white button-up shirts with a tie. It was the female version of what Kaden himself was wearing. The only difference was while Kaden and Hinata's tie matched Ash's was a different color. Kaden figured his bright red necktie had something to do with the mythos he belonged to since Hinata matched him. Overall the color of the neckties did not matter much to him. He just wanted to start learning.
"Kaden, we should head out soon. Jessica told us it could take fifteen to thirty minutes to reach our classroom" Hinata said as she hugged the bag that held her course books.
"I just saw the brat and she did not say anything like that to me," Kaden said. "Haha, it's what you call privileged information. Besides, remember our walk here. Of course, it will take time to go to our classes." Ash added.
"What about the others," Hinata asked. "Well they better get ready in the next five minutes if they want to be on time," Ash said with a grin. "Damn, ok I'll go wake them," Kaden said as he jumped to his feet and started knocking on his fellow male's doors.
Soon the two girls heard the yells of "What", "For Real Man", and "Demoness". Out of the four boys, only Bruce was ready, well almost ready. He was in the middle of his breakfast. Bruce could not help but shake his head with a smile at his other roommate's antics. In a matter of minutes, the three boys haggardly join their friend. They left their home together to start their first day at school. It took twenty-five minutes for them to make it to the freshman campus. Mostly because Bisma kept getting distracted by the sights and slowing the group down.
At the entrance of the Freshmen Campus, they said their goodbyes, and each headed off to their respective homerooms. The freshman campus looked like a high-tech prep school minus all the storage lockers. The Hallway was wide and clean. The Freshmen Campus building only had one hallway that ran the length of the building. The building itself was two stories tall. It had twenty classrooms on each floor with four large stairwells evenly spread out to give easy access to both levels. The building only had standard classrooms. Its sole purpose was to give the freshmen students a place to adjust to their new life.
Only introduction classes and homeroom classes were held in the Freshmen Campus. Most freshmen would spend the first three if not all four quarters in that building to learn the basics of being Highborn. Kaden and Hinata were surprised to see that they knew nobody in their class of sixty students. Without making much fuss they quickly took two seats by a window.
The room layout was like an amphitheater. The desks were spread out in a semi-circle centering on the teacher's podium in the center. Behind the podium was a large chalkboard and entrance to the room. Most of the students present had the same confused look on their faces. Kaden took it all in strides. Before long the bell rang and a beautiful twenty-something young woman walked in. She instantly stole everybody's attention including the girls.
