Kapitel 195: Ancestral Path
The twins' ancestor was from Xia Empire, a small farmer who lived alone with his little daughter. At that time, Monk Du was being hunted down by the Xia army for some unknown reason. Ignoring of this fact, the farmer had kindly offered Monk Du room and board for a night after seeing him his haggard form wandering the village.
Unfortunately, this kind act brought the farmer his doom. After Monk Du left, the Xia army arrived in search of the Monk. They tortured the farmer to get information, but he knew nothing and so could give nothing. He pleaded for his life and in the end, the commander agreed to spare him but they gave him a severe beating as punishment for housing a criminal wanted by the royal family.

You know, sometimes when I write these side characters, I get so intrigued by them that I want to see their full story...For example, this Dong Queen, went from a farmer's daughter, to a monk's adopted child to a Queen...I kinda wanna see that journey. It definitely wouldn't have been easy, her skills as a healer and fighter learned from Monk Du would have definitely helped in paving her way...Definitely an interesting character.

Another thing I wanted to mention is the fact that everything in this story is connected (I may have mentioned somewhere, here or on Discord that nothing is a coincidence in this story. But if something were to be seen as a coincidence, it would be Monk Du's encounter with the farmer, that could be viewed as a coincidence which set off a whole other chain of other events as you can see)
....BUT everything is connected in the sense that they all sort of originate from the same source, even this story of this Queen from hundreds of years ago ultimately has the same roots...which means even before Lei Xing and the Emperor and their parents came to exist, things had already been set in motion...You know like the butterfly effect or better I think is the ripple effect (But then it begs the question of who dropped the rock or perhaps...what or who was the rock that started it all? (¬‿¬)...
....Don't try too hard to decode my meaning at this time because it might just give you a headache LOL, I just wanted to share these interesting thoughts with you all...( ⊃‿⊂)...YOUR SPECULATIONS and THEORIES are always and greatly WELCOME! PLEASE SHARE! ^_^)
