Kapitel 7: Rekindling
The giant snake striked down towards me but shinha blocked it by headbutting it right in the face. It got taken back and lowered its head to the ground. Taking the momentarily chance, I took out my daggers and took my stance. The giant snake started darting around so fast for its size. I didn't know where it would appear when all of a sudden I heard a warning and swinged my daggers behind me and managed to stab its eyes.
It started hissing and wringling around when shinha bit the giant snake and it went on fire. But it wasn't your typical fire, it was white. Standing there I was not suprised shinha could do that since it was a divine beast. I felt a hand snake around my wrist and grabbed it. Turning around, it was Ren.
"I promised...so..I'll tell you." He took me and turned around for shinha but realized she shranked down. We started walking towards a littke hut that was empty. Going inside, it looked pretty damaged. The roof was filled with holes and and wood looked like it was about to collapsed.
"Well, tell me." Ren sighed.
"First, I am a immortal demon. But not the typical demon, I am one of the strongest and darkest there is out there."
Wow, not suprised after seeing hin shift between forms.
"And I have something called bloodlust." That explains how gruesome he is when he is fighting.
"Why didn't you tell me before?"He flinched.
"I was afraid you'll be afraid of me. And get you killed again." Wait again? What does he mean.
"What do you mean again?"
"I won't tell you yet. For now, you'll have to stuck with the information I just gave you."
"Really?" He just looked at me and I sighed.
I walked up to him and said "I wanted to apologize for looking at you like a monster when I am too as well." He grabbed me from my waist and caressed my cheek.
"No..don't apologize. It's not your fault."
My heart started thumping. I was suprised, I haven't felt like this to someone fir a long time. Looking at Ren's lips I wanted to kiss me and I saw him looking at mine as well. Then shinha barged in and told me telepathically that we are surrounded by monsters. It seems like Ren noticed as well. Something felk frim the roof and landed between me and Ren. It was a beast with horns on his hand and a body of a giant salamder. Before I could react, it swinged its tail and threw me outside. Ren tried to reach me but the beast blocked me.
"Ren! Don't worry, I have shinha here." He nodded and faced the beast.
Observing, I see that they were all different beast but why were we being attacked specifically? But I didn't have time for thinking since all of them attacked at once.
Shinha grew to her normal size and thre vlue flames at the beasts. I didn't notice before but I see she is a nine tails.
I drew my daggers, digged my botts to the ground and launched. Sinking my dagger into its neck I felt something deep inside. I started to get excited, must be the berserker coming out and I didn't supress it. My necklace started glowing and my symbols and marking on my dagger and body started to shine like blood. And my eyes were red as well since I started bleeding from the eyes. I took off my mask and felt my fangs were longer and sharper. The beasts must have been taken back with me and I didn't loose the chance to kill them. I took out my dagger from the neck and cleany sliced its head off. I bathed in pleasure of a fallen enemy. I turned and saw the beast striked me but I didn't get fazed at all. I felt unstoppable and sliced off its tail. It started screeching and I enjoyed it. Walking closer, I can feel the beast cowering in fear and just when I was about to kill it, a warm hand wrapped around me.
"Stop luna." My berserker turned off like a switch. I dropped my daggers and realized what I had just done.
"Oh my god...I'm a monster." Ren shooked his head and just held me closer. I felt a wet nose touching my hand. It was shinha. I wanted to pet her but my body felt heavy and I shut downed.
Waking up, I saw night had fallen. Sitting up, I see Ren just leaning next to me and it looked like he was sleeping. I slowly put his head on my thighs and looked for shinha. She was right next to me but she was awake. Petting her I thanked her in my mind. She responded by wagging her tail. I looked into the dark and remembered how I enjoyed the killing experience. Something move and it was the beast that I sliced its tail off. It seems to be sleeping comfortably by the fire. I asked shinha what it was doing here and she replied it just followed us but means no harm. Looking at it, I felt bad for killing its friends right in front of him. Thinking of what I can make it up, I suddenly was pulled down. It was Ren and he was awake.
"Go to sleep. Your body needs rest after using your true form." I looked at him with a confused look.
"I'll explain in the morning." I nodded and snuggled against his chest and fell alseep. I dreamt of someone's voice was shouting at me but I couldn't understand what the person was saying. Before the drean broked, I saw the pair of eyes that was calling to me, it was Ren.
