"Breath" I whispered to myself. "Just gotta pretend it's the simulation." I pulled the thick leather belts over my chest, pushing me into the back of my chair. Not the most comfortable, but I'll only have to deal with them for fifteen minutes now the fifteen minutes when we "land". I go through the process one last time. We will pushed extremely hard into the backs of our seats, everything will go black for about ten minutes. During these ten minutes pain like we've never experienced will cloak us. We have been told thousands of times that it's going to be way more painful than how we practiced. Great. That doesn't make me feel one hundred times sicker than I already am. We have about a minute before it starts. I guess I'm ready then. I breath deeply till the lights shut off everywhere. It's time. Yay!

Every member went silent as the ship went pitch black. No one was ready, no matter how cocky or confident they looked. It was a matter of seconds before the fun of extreme pain began. And so, it did. Imagine a powerful gust of wind, pushing you over. Now, imagine the wind had millions of tiny knives cutting into your skin as you try to push against them. Times the pain by ten. A whirling, terrifying sound filled the ears of the fifteen young adult. They could almost swear they could hear whispering, the whispering of all the people they are passing through the years. Maybe they are trying to stop them, don't mess with the way things are, things are fine, please stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.
Blackness and the pain and the whispers are no more. Then, light returned and the young heros wondered if the whispers had been lies all along.
