15.38% Becoming A Tree Isn't That Bad, Right? / Chapter 2: The Mad Cow

Kapitel 2: The Mad Cow

Dawn arrived, and the sun shone upon the surface. Critters and even little crawling insects basked in it's rays, hoping to gather up warmth for their bodies, frosted by the cold night.

Meanwhile, a certain tree was shaking with vigor as his leaves fell one by one to the coldground.

'It was too damn cold! Why is a tree even sensitive to the cold?! Was he not supposed to be covered with thick damned Barks? 'Luke scolded loudly in his heart.

He can't be blamed as the night was just too unbearably cold. The cold morning breeze was enough to freeze up his pores let alone the glacial night, when the temperature even drops to the negatives.

The sun had fully emerged and it's warm light has enveloped his surface, but it was only able to alleviate little of the piercing cold, tormenting him with each passing second.

He shivered uncontrollably making even more leaves fall to the ground

'Was It not enough that he was made into a tree? Does he really have too turn into a giant Popsicle? This is clearly destroying the ecosystem ah! '

Luke was baffled as he was freezing cold. He clearly didn't have limbs or any means to move. He should have just been a typical tree except for his vision and consciousness. However why was he able to retain his sense of feeling? Was the magical being that sent him here secretly a sadist? Or was he made into a tree as a punishment for his past misdeeds? Heck, he didn't even have any beef with anyone. Maybe except for the countless girls he rejected back at school, but if the person who sent him here was

really was one of them, it only meant that she was just an average geeky girl right? So he shouldnt be possible blamed for rejecting her right?

Luke nodded incessantly inside his head. Rejecting someone he clearly didn't like shouldn't be sin, infact it was only inevitable. Clearly he has no fault in doing so and if someone holds a grudge against him for that, they clearly have some problem with their thinking. Luke internally nodded again, when a raucous sound echoed beneath him, throwing him in a state of panic.

'I am sorry for saying those degenerative things! I'm a huge douche with a massive ego! Please don't hurt me. ' Luke quickly blurted out in his mind. He didn't dare open his vision as his hear thumped with horror.

"Mooooooooooo"

Luke discreetly opened his vision and all he saw was a cow wearing an innocent expression. He calmed down, finding it comical that he has mistaken someone for a cow.

All though he found the cow infront if him rather odd. It's eyes were gold in color just like the strange horse he saw the other day.

He was immersed in looking at it's eyes that he only noticed after a few seconds that it's actually making it's way to him!

He sucked in a breath as horror was once again reigned in his heart. Others who knew him might not know nor believe this. but he was extremely afraid of cows!

He can still remember the horror he felt when he was still living in the province. His ear wrenching screams, as a mad cow dashed after him, left a gruesome scar in his mind.

Luke's body shook like never before as countless leaves fell to the ground. The whole place would've hosted his mad screams, even echoing even to the farlands, if his mouth connected to his thoughts as it used to. He closed his vision in pure cowardice as he braced for the cow to uproot him from the ground.

Seconds passed and he still didn't feel the bomb like impact from the cow's horns that he imagine would've sent him toppling over. Instead he felt a ticklish sensation beneath him. He opened his vision again to see the cow feeding on the grass growing just beside his surfacing roots. He didn't know wether to relax or panic. Atleast this was better than getting rammed to the ground right?

Although it sounds completely unrealistic, he already saw a horse who grew wings, so cows with bulldozer strength really wouldn't really be suprising right?

His body still shook lightly but eventually stilled and calmed down after Luke was sure that the cow didn't have any intention on harming him.

The cow continued to inhale the grasses beneath him like air until it all disappeared, leaving only it's roots.

It circled around Luke until finally settling on a spot where his roots formed a convenient arc, accomodating the cow's massive body.

"Moooooooooooo" It bellowed before it laid down.

"....."

'Was he a hotel for cows now?' Luke felt rather indignant and he was unwilling to be used as someone elses personal bed but he just decided to kept mime about it. After all, it isn't like he was being used as someone else's personal comfort room right?

Just as he thought of that, the cow snorted as it's tail stood erect. It's A-hole bursted as piles of feces splattered itself to his Barks.
