Kapitel 48: QIANRU'S VISIT

Everything was dark, she could see nothing as she felt her body like a feather, floating in the eternity. As she was sinking deeper and deeper into the obscurity, she felt someone held her hand.

Slowly and surely, bringing back her senses while she grasped his hand for dear life, the dream felt so real that left her breathless.

That was the moment when she hurt her own brother. The memories that she had buried in the back of her mind for years.

Xiao Tianyao's worried face was the first think that came into her sight.

"Luna…" He breathed her name in relief and helped her to sit. "Drink this." He brought a cup of water to her chapped lips.

The liquid was cascading down her dry throat made her felt slightly better. Xiao Tianyao called someone who was waiting outside the door to call a doctor.

"I have made you suffer…" Xiao Tianyao whispered at her, the hint of sadness in his voice was something that Luna couldn't ignore. She leaned her head silently on his shoulder, looking at their intertwined fingers.

"I am fine." She said weakly.

A little while later, a doctor came inside the room and checked on her. Due to the tense of hostility that Xiao Tianyao exuded upon seeing the canning scars on her back, the room was deadly quite, even all the female maidservant present, too scare to breathe louder.

After the doctor checked on her, he wrote a prescription and handed it to the old mama while giving her instruction.

After the doctor handed an ointment to be rubbed on Luna's back to Xiao Tianyao, he waved his hand and told them all to leave.

He was still wearing the same clothes when he arrived at the capital city, as soon as he heard the Emperor had issued an order to arrest her, he dashed toward the palace, killed numerous prison guards before he found her bruised and wounded body, unconscious.

"How are you feeling?"

"I am fine." Luna was lying prone with her back slightly covered with blanket.

Xiao Tianyao sat on the edge of the bed and pulled down the blanket. Luna's bare back showed how bad the scars, despite it didn't bleed anymore, the open wounds was scary to see.

"I will rub the ointment on your back." He informed her.

"Hmm." Luna nodded feebly.

However, when he was about to apply the ointment, his subordinate talked a bit louder from behind the door.

"Prince Xiao Tianyao. Princess Qianru comes, she is waiting inside the study room." A young man said, he was slightly shivering, knowing that their prince was in extremely bad mood.

From inside, Xiao Tianyao didn't say anything and continued to treat Luna's wounds. To his surprised, the woman who looked fragile in front of him, didn't even hiss in pain. Her beautiful eyes were staring at the distance, unfazed.

She acted like nothing happened.

With the wounds like her, a slight touched could feel like a thousand needles stabbed on her back, but she refused to even wrinkle her brows as if she had gotten used being hurt like this. Xiao Tianyao was puzzled.

"Someone had done the same thing to you before?"
