Kapitel 2: New Life(2)

"..."

"Where the hell am I?" "Why is it so dark?" "What the hell is going on?" "What is this feeling? Its both warmth… and happiness?"

Time passed rapidly as these thoughts would randomly flow through his mind. He could feel that he was randomly blacking out at times.

"Wait… I'm not alone in here? Who or what is with me?" He thought to himself as he could feel something brush up against him. He had a sense of familiarity with the thing that brushed up against him.

"Who are you? I'm… I'm? Who am I again?" He tried to introduce himself but he began to draw a blank. He forgot his own name! He looked into his memories and remembered countless things. But the most common was that he couldn't remember his name.

Alas, it wasn't only his name, he couldn't even remember his appearance and age either. It was as if these things that he should subconsciously know were erased from his memories. Strangely, he was only focused on his name rather than age and appearance. Why? Because he still had relative knowledge on the other two things.

"This is worrying…" He thought to himself, not quite panicked, but still scared. "Am I going to forget other things? Why did I forget my name? How did I end up here?"

These thoughts passed with time, just as the others did. But, they still remained ever present within his mind. Along with the passing of time, he would also hear muffled voices in the deep darkness.

Finally, after he experienced a few more time gaps a sudden rush appeared inside the warm space.

"Hey brother, do you know what's happening in here?" He smiled, knowing he wouldn't get an answer. He would often spend time either looking through his memories or talking to his only company. He rapidly grew more and more familiar with the other occupant as time passed, reaching the point of calling him brother.

He had long figured out where he was, he was inside a womb! Meaning, that the other occupant was indeed his real brother.

He knew that when he was 'talking,' he wasn't actually talking. Not a single noise would come out of his mouth when he spoke. Alas, this didn't deter him as he 'spoke' more and more to retain his sanity.

"Well, I guess I'll be leaving first. See you later!" He yelled as he felt that rush force him outside of the warm space he spent so much time inside.

"Ah! So bright!" His eyes felt as if they were being stabbed by the light. He spent so much time in the warm darkness that his eyes were no longer adjusted to the light. After a short amount of time, he was able to see figures within the light, but no defined features. Sadly, he still felt a lingering stinging sensation in his eyes.

"WAHHH!"

"Looks like little bro got out just fine." He sighed to himself in relief. He was fearful that there would be some sort of complication. Thankfully, it was just nonsense and he came out fine.

"This is a bad omen…" A voice! It was much clearer than the ones he would hear when in that other place.

"What do you mean…" A familiar voice! Although this voice was slightly muffled, he remembered this one as he often heard it.

"...sacrifice him immediately! Destined to be evil! A demon!" The first voice shouted out, nearly stinging his ears.

"Why is she so mean? I was just born and she already wants me to be sacrificed. Geez." He sighed to himself internally. "Although I want to cry, there is no way I'm able too. I am just too excited to cry after being cooped up in that place for so long."

"GET OUT! YOU ARE…" The familiar voice shouted, this voice definitely stung his ears. They were left ringing by his voice, but instead of feeling upset, he felt happy.

"Yeah, you tell her dad! Make her crawl into the hole she crawled out from!" He thought jokingly. The incident quickly ended with the voice leaving the room in a hurry. Soon enough, he could feel himself being held in two strong arms. The warmth of these two arms was quickly making him tired, wave upon wave of sleepiness beset him. His eyes were already closed and the last thing he heard was his mother's words.

"Solen is my name now…" This was his last thought before he fell asleep. This sleep was much more different than the blackouts inside the womb. It was much more restful and relaxing in comparison.

---

"So... so tiring! Why is it so difficult as a baby?" Solen complained to himself as he crawled on the ground. His muscles were aching and his pain threshold was far lower than when he was in his previous life. Solen would often stop and give his body rest in fear of hurting himself. He didn't want to inhibit his future body growth just because he wanted to walk again.

It had already been four months since his birth and he had just started to crawl. He would've waited longer if his brother, Aloysius wasn't already making his attempts. Although Solen thought it was weird that Aloysius was already attempting to crawl, he realized that this world was far different than the one he was from. He once saw his father lift a large item made of iron or bronze and he didn't even break a sweat. He had a monstrous strength that Solen wished he had.

When Solen was first born, he noticed that the house was destitute. There were hardly any decorations or furniture throughout the entire manor. But, as time passed, the house changed as well. Furniture and toys quickly became plentiful as well as servants and maids.

Along with the increase in wealth, Garth would often return home with wounds and a blood-covered body. Sometimes he came home half dead, but a smile was always on his face. One could assume that he was doing very risky and dangerous work.

"Agh! So tired." Solen complained to himself as he collapsed to the ground. Both his arms and legs were already sore after over twenty minutes of crawling around. He would also stay aware of the situation around him to prevent hitting his head against a chair or a table. Alas, his situational awareness wasn't great and he would occasionally bump into things. Bruises dotted his soft baby skin, showing the merits of his tough 'battles'.

After he collapsed, a maid designated to take care of him daily pulled him off the ground and held him with care. This continued onward for another two months until he was able to walk a few steps without falling.

"I did it! After two long months, I have finally done it!" He thought in complete exhilaration. His face turned red with elation and a smile stretched from ear to ear.

"Mama! I… I did it!" Solen yelled at the top of his lungs. His excitement was genuine as he could finally start moving on his feet again. Soon enough, he will be able to start walking and running.

During these months, Solen's vocabulary quickly 'developed' causing both his parents to look at him in pride. Their son was a genius among those of the lower clans inside the city with his ability to speak at this age. Most of the time, the children of other lower clans would be able to speak small sentences around the age of eight months.

Solen was surprised by the fact that children developed so quickly. His muscles were rapidly developing, he felt that his physical strength was many times than a toddler would have on Earth. It was possible for him to lift an object over half a kilogram already. That was insane. He, someone, not even a year old, could lift an object over 2.5 kg. Meanwhile, a toddler from Earth should hardly be able to lift an item that weighed over one pound.

"Hahaha! My Solen has finally done it!" His mother shouted in happiness. A large smile was plastered on her face. She immediately rushed forwards and picked up Solen, swinging him around with immense joy. He might have been joyful too if he wasn't picked up by the armpits and had a feeling that he might be thrown if this went on any longer.

"Mama! Stop! Please!" Solen shouted loudly as he was swung around like a ragdoll. It seemed his mother forgot he was only a baby, he wasn't even a toddler age range yet.

"Ah! Sorry, Little Sol…" Alice showed a sheepish expression as she placed Solen back on the ground. She was instantly lost in joy when she first saw him walk and couldn't hold back the bursting excitement.

"Just wait until your father comes home! He will be so pleased!" Alice continued as her expression changed back to an elated smile.

"Mama!" A voice suddenly shouted out from behind Alice. It was Aloysius.

"I… I did… it… too!" He breathed laboriously as he took one step after another. Alice once again exploded with joy. Both her sons learned how to walk on the same day! This was something to be proud of!

"Haha! Al, you did it! Come give Mommy a hug!" Alice's joy wasn't lesser than what she felt when she saw Solen take his first steps. But, she was much more careful. She didn't want to make the same mistake on Aloysius.
