The priest nodded in consent to what Fan Tiffany requested, smiling warmly at the couple for the love he thought they had for each other. Facing the congregation of well-wishers, the priest then said, "Dearly beloved, the couple would like to make a special request regarding their marriage, and I would like to plead with everyone seated to respect their decision."

In a tone of solemnity, the priest ended his address and then faced the couple.

"I will now begin."

"Yes, Father."

Almost at the same time, Jiu Wei and Fan Tiffany responded to the priest, their eyes remained on him as he began uttering the words that would bind them by many witnesses.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered together to join NiNi baby and Big Wen in holy matrimony."

As the priest spoke, Fan Tiffany could feel her eyes beginning to twitch from nervousness, her mind temporarily slipping back to the time when she heard her phone vibrate with the text message from her then fiancé, Wang Feiyu. While waiting for him to walk down the aisle, thinking he was only running late. The message still fresh in her mind stung like nothing else.

"Tiffany, I hate to do this to you, but I don't think I'm ready to do this."

That was when Fan Tiffany's world came crashing down.
