Who would refuse to have a better skill seed as their main skill seed?
Well Arthur did not know the benefits of a having a superior skill seed as your main one before, not until he started familiarizing his skills through training.
At the apprentice stage, only the damage skills will be only help you get a little bit stronger than the rest that is because you can only use two to three skills at the same time.
Once you progress to tier 1 to high level tiers, then having superior main skill seeds will greatly help you as they amplify your mana regeneration speed. A superior skill seed can also efficiently distribute every sub-skill seed.
But that is not what Jeremy is shocked about. There are a bunch of higher rank skill seeds in auction, the only problem is the resources you can exchange for them. But Arthur said that he had a way to exactly know what higher skill seed is compatible to his brothers but also he can help harmonize it. By the serious face he is showing, he was not joking.
'I guess the secret he is hiding from us is really to great for us to know. My son really got matured so early'.
Jeremy is a little sad about this, with his shortcomings, his son was forced to face the difficulties of life in a young age.
"I have a way and they would not need to go to the hybrid ceremony tomorrow. They can start harmonizing now and by tomorrow, they will become hybrids."
The hybrid is held in one of auction houses owned by city chairman where they display many types of skill seeds from green rank to white rank. You can be sure that yellow rank skill seeds are hidden they would be crazy to display that.
All the participants will have two days to choose their own skill seed and pay the appropriate amount stated with the skill seed.
"Okay, dear please can you accompany Dylan and Skye to Marty. They have to sign something there to notify the city chairman that they would not attend tomorrow. Arthur and I will prepare what he needs for his brothers."
"Yes, dear. Come boys, I will take you there now. Arthur, my son, thank you for helping your brothers".
"There is no need for thanks, Mother."
"Bye big brother". Skye and Dylan both waved happily and obediently went with their mother.
"Son, I am really sorry for this. I think what you experienced when we lost you are things that is out of this world. That said, this will always be your home, whatever you need, we will support you."
Jeremy believed that his son's temperament where he turns cold whenever his mom or brothers are gone maybe because of their failure of saving him.
"Father, I never blamed you or Uncle for that incident. I think, for better or worse, that I need to experience what I have seen and there is no escape for that.
I became stronger but not strong enough. I will still rely on you and Uncle Marty now. Truth is, I only trust you, so I will tell you what I plan to do for now.
I will make my brothers stronger, and the fame and glory will be theirs for now. I will hide my power until I reach a certain goal.
This way maybe cruel for them, but they will have the power to protect themselves. Of course, the enemies would cross my dead body before they can do that."
"Thank you for telling me this, son. I won't tell your mother for now, he had enough worrying for one of his son. I also approve your methods so just tell me what you need. You do not have to worry about your uncle, what he wants, I assume it aligns to your goals."
"Father, I need to go to Uncle's library. There is something that I need there. I guess we will start the hybrid transformation later at night."
"No problem, I need to go see your uncle so I will accompany you."
Arriving at his uncle's house, he went straight to his uncle's office to ask for the key to the library but the guards stopped him. Suprisingly, they knew what he wants and his uncle already tasked the guards to lead him there.
Marty's library only had four shelves of books in it and a single wide table available. He needs to check the things he learned from the monsters about power levels because it may have changed over time they were not active.
Sure enough, there are changes and they were huge. He was taught before that power levels for humans are measured through units called gamma and the apprentice stage is measured at 200 gammas. That was two thousand years ago when that standard of measurement was last used.
From then on, humans have discovered another efficient way to measure their power levels. They can even predict the elemental affinity of a mortal before turning them to hybrids by using rare stones called rainbow totem.
Once a mortal becomes a hybrid, he is instantly classified as a 1 star apprentice class. To further measure their exact strength, they need to buy a spirit accessory from the blacksmith association. This spirit accessory will measure your mana capacity and it will show your level by a number.
Number 1-10 is obviously apprentice stage 1-star to 10-stars. 11 to 20 is tier1 1-star to 10-stars and so on and so forth until tier10 10 stars.
