Sythia awoke to the chirping birds. Her blond hair in a mess, she sat up. The warm sun of early summer had come and her last day of boring regular school. Tomorrow was the day she gained her first power, which would allow her access to abilities and potential she would never have gotten if otherwise.
She got out of her bed and stretched her stiff sleepy body. The sound of a knife on a chopping board could be heard from outside her room. She went to investigate the cause of the sound.
A man about the age of thirty five was chopping away at some fruits and other ingredients. Unknown to him however they were already over cut. Lygard had a confused look on his face. despite cooking for over ten years for Sythia he had never gotten use to it. Despite having outstanding swordsman ship his skill with a kitchen knife was severely lacking.
'Good morning Lygard' A similar soft voice calls out to Lygard, the voice however was much more mature than it's younger counter part.
'Good morning Sythia, I've made breakfast, well tried to.' Sythia gave a light giggle before replying.
'Lygard I told you, you don't have to make me breakfast.' Lygard stopped chopping and looked disheartened. Sythia felt guilty, over the ten years of her known life she would remember every morning Lygard would make her breakfast.
'I didn't mean to...'
'Its fine, I understand' Lygard continued to finish up with breakfast before moving to the front door.
'Make sure you wash up before you eat, it may be the last day but don't be late.' Lygard puts on his boots before he leaves the house. Sythia stares at the door for a bit before moving towards the bathroom.
...
After she had breakfast she wore her uniform which entailed a cream colour as it's main colour with blue, lining it's patterns and the school symbol of a lion on the left chest pocket. She wore a skirt with the same colour but opposite scheme.
She left the house as usual and went to school as usual. As she walked The familiar scenery of a great civilisation which has bested the test of time. The great City of Liron a bright friendly city the capital of the great Liron nation.
'The scenery never gets old' Sythia took in the sights before continuing in her way to school.
The chime of the school bell rang throughout the whole school students were rushing to get to class before they were late. Sythia however was relax. It was her last day here like most students at the age of fifteen leave the normal school and enter the Liron Grand Academy. A school dedicated to training and nurturing of powers. At the age of fifteen students were given a rune stone which allowed the student to unlock a power.
Each power varied in each student, however always had a base form. The different forms included summoner, warrior, mage, and assassin.
Warriors were your normal melee fighters however used energy within their body unlocked when they gained power called mana.
Mana in each person was the same at the start however one could refine their own mana to be come more efficient and longer lasting. What was different however was the quantity. When one unlocks power a set amount of mana is given to you this varies between each person. Naturally the more mana you have the better. One can train and increase the amount of mana they hold but you'd be at a disadvantage.
Warriors used their mana to enhance physical attributes of others and themselves. Some abilities also include drawing the attention of enemies and forcing them to fight you.
This is the most common version of a warrior. Other types include speed up and instead of playing a tank role they deal massive amounts of damage if they get close.
Mages are magic uses who use mana to conjure magic circles and create magical attacks. Mages also have the basic element which they are naturally attuned to from birth.
These elements include fire, water, earth, lightning, wind, ice and light.
There have been few cases of dual elements tuning where an individual is attuned to two elements. Not being attuned to one element does not mean you cannot use it. It just mean you're more powerful in attuned elements.
Mages focus more on area of effect magic to devastate larger amounts of foes however a vulnerable up close. Special cases such as magic swordsman can us magic as well as fight with a weapon. However, this usually comes at a cost of power in magical abilities.
