Kapitel 32: Chapter 31: Natural Snow

"Don't you think it's sad and depressing to be visiting your own grave?" Atlas's car sped through the night, fast as a purple flash.

{Nope. In fact, I find it kinda cool.}

"Weirdo." His Ferrari accelerated. Atlas was respite that his car could go fast again.

The weight of the Kent Axe forced his car to slow down, making the journey home a while ago safe and enjoyable for Kristine.

Just from thinking about her, Atlas's heart ached.

It was a windless night, so nothing swept across him as he alighted the car, parked by the debris of the orphanage.

"Look! Someone is paying a visit."

Camouflaging into the bland darkness in a pitch black cloak, a figure stood erect, remaining motionless. Few strands of white hair slipped out the hoodie, conspicuous amidst the absence of light.

Crunches of leaves from Atlas's footsteps did not disconcert the person's composure.

Alining with the stranger before the grave out of respect, Atlas sneaked a quick peek over the hoodie that shrouded the face of the visitor who was half a head shorter than him.

It was a girl. A very gorgeous, doll-like girl with astonishing blue eyes.

"Excuse me. Were you one of Mr. Nam's adopted children?" He assumed. The pendant was in his pocket, so there wasn't Nam to identify.

"Yes. No. Not really." The girl blinked her eyes, somehow confused by her own answer.

She stared at Atlas, her eyes as clear as crystal with nothing to conceal. "I'm actually searching for someone. Do you know who he is?"

Her azure blue eyes felt like miniature black holes, unintentionally dragging him into an endless abyss. "You remind me of him. Can you zip down your jacket?"

"Woah. Slow down girl! We just met." Atlas pretended to be rejecting her, but he was just trying to escape her vision by backing off. This girl is a dangerous Warrior, clearly capable of destroying him.

"Please cooperate. Thank you." The few gentle words floated in the air, and Atlas froze. She walked towards him, stretching open the collar that blocked his neck.

Anticipation faded from her eyes.

"I'm truly apologetic for my rude behavior. I recognized you for the wrong person." She bowed elegantly, snow white hair flowing out the hoodie in a sedate pace.

"Apology accepted, but to clarify, I would have cooperated on my own." Atlas fixed his collar, examining the beautiful girl cautiously. "You're clearly not local. Mind telling me where you're from?"

"I do mind, so i won't answer." The girl answered without hesitation, catching Atlas off his balance with this unexpected twist in this normal conversation.

"Ok then. May I at least ask what you were searching for?" Atlas offered help. A mysterious girl who's younger than him, and possesses the capability to eliminate an Axonn in a blink of an eye? This type of menace is frightening, even if it's just a teenage girl.

Baffled, Atlas flinched with her next reply.

"I'm not sure."

At this point, Atlas would have mistaken her for a innocent, lost child if it weren't for her ability to immobilize him.

"But I think I'm trying to find someone who lived here before. Who? I don't know."

She stranded herself in her own world, her tiny nose twitching from intense concentration.

[Nam, What should I do?]

{Don't ask me what you should do! Just do what you should do! I can't even see. I'm currently blind.}

"Never mind!" The girl blurted and shook her head, white silk hair fluttering. "Nice meeting you! I don't get to see the outside world often, so it is great talking to you! What can I refer you by?"

"Dynasty." Atlas gave his second name out of vigilance.

"Hello Dynasty! I think you are the first male I've spoken to in a really long time. You have a nice, raspy voice like aunt Cora, but personality wise, you are way kinder."

{Haha! I can't believe she compared your voice to a women's! Guess your voice is feminine! Hahahaha!} Nam laughed till he was out of breath, which Atlas did not find amusing.

"Thank you? Since I told you mine, may I know your name too?"

Abruptly, the current of the air shifted, and gusts begun to brew in the windless night.

"Oops. I've been away for too long." The girl grinned, childish glitters sparking from her azure blue pupils. "I'll have to leave now. If you're lucky, maybe we'll meet sometime!"

Atlas was still bewildered by the weird weather occurring and this arcane individual. "Can you at least share a nickname I can call you by, in case, we meet again by chance?"

"Eira! This is my real name because I don't have a nickname. Bye bye Dynasty! Hope I'll see you again!"

Snow flake patterns started to crawl thinly all over the orphanage as an icy mist pervade the air with Eira as the pivot. Her cloak dyed ocean blue with delicate patterns embellishing the rim. The mist swallowed her, and when it subsided, she has disappeared. Distant giggles lingered in the air, as if the freezing temperature has delayed the speed of sound.

All happened like a wisp of dream.

{Eira?} Although Nam is disabled from visual modality, he still had aural faculty. {It does ring a bell.}

[Indeed it does. Ice and whatsoever? Are you thinking what I'm thinking?]

{Probably.} Nam answered in approval.

The ice sheets melted, and the wind stopped howling.

"How many times do I have to say! Do not leave my sight!" A middle-aged woman rubbed her hand over her face.

"Please calm down Elder Emma. She's our genius princess with extraordinary talent! There's no doubt she can escape anyone, especially with the equipment our Queen provided." A well-maintained thirty-ish woman, slightly younger than the other female, said with an appeasing and respectful voice while smiling.

"Is that really the princess's fault Emma? I still wonder till today, how did you manage to allow the princess to slip through your grasp many years ago?" A kind looking, ordinary grandma joined the conversation, criticizing her with a very calm tone.

Eira leaped into the old lady's arms. "Elder Esther! I'm back! I heard you mention about a story about me! Could you tell me please? Recently, I've been really fascinated about my childhood!"

"Elder Esther! Please be aware that you are wording forbidden..."

"For goodness sake, it's just a harmless story. Sorry Eira. Maybe I'll tell you this story on another day."

"Aww..." Grouchy, Eira sighed. Inside her head, a lotus configured. The flower bud slightly blossomed.

Emma felt like she punched a bag of cotton. Nothing was achieved.

"Let's go home princess Eira! I would love to hear what you witnessed today on the way home!"

An unbelievable sight happened. 4 women of different walks of life levitated nearly 10 stories off the ground, drifting into the direction of the full moon.

Tiny snow drizzled down the bustle city. Snowing, a very casual formation of extreme cold and rain. Naturally produced ice.

Do all snow obey the rules of law? Or do some snow, make exceptions?
