Kapitel 1: Acceptance
Ms. White was looking through her mail.
"Bills, bills, more bills, Oh!" She exclaimed in surprise, coming across a large envelope. It looked as if it was made of expensive material. Across the front, it said, 'White Leaf Academy'. Ms. White's eyes widened in surprise.
"Levi," She called in the near-empty home, "I think there's a letter for you."
Coming down the stairs, Levi said "What is it, Mom? Another letter?"
"Yeah, but it's from White Leaf Academy this time."
"Tell them I don't want to go."
"Sweetie, you've rejected so many colleges and universities already. Why not give this one a try? It's one of the best."
"Mom," Levi said, his amber eyes staring at his mom's blue eyes. "I just want to be a novelist. Who cares about these damn fancy colleges and universities."
"The best of these colleges offer fully paid scholarships for you."
"I don't want to."
"You're eighteen. I know that colleges won't stop sending letters until you agree to one of them, but you should accept. It's a very good opportunity."
"Mom, I couldn't."
"I'll be fine all alone. Goodness knows I need time alone."
"..."
"I'll tell them you accepted, then?"
"Wait, Mom, no!!!"
"Too late, sweetie. You are going to college."
"You're going to be alone."
"It's ok."
"You're old. What if you fall and can't get up? What if you can't make yourself food anymore? What if-?"
"I'm not that old!!!" His mom said, irritated.
"You are!!!" He said, before remembering how sensitive girls were about their age.
'Uh oh...' He thought.
"DAMN CHILD!!! I'M STILL VERY YOUNG!!!" She yelled, running after her son with a shoe.
