Kapitel 3: Testing the Luck part 1

* Tick tock * Tick tock * Tick tock *

The roulette wheel started spinning at a speed that it was impossible to visualize the possibilities of weapons with the naked eye.

Matthew, eager to know what he was getting, waited for two minutes for the roulette wheel to stop spinning. But, it seemed to be no sign that the roulette wheel would stop spinning.

* Ding *

"Stupid user, until when will you be stopped here? The roulette wheel will only stop spinning if the user commands the roulette wheel to stop."

Only after the system chided him, he knew he made a stupid mistake. Feeling embarrassed by his own stupidity, he began to blush. Hastily, he gave a mental command for the roulette wheel to stop spinning.

Just after the system received the command, the roulette wheel began to slow down, until Matthew was able to visualize the weapon options that he could receive. He realized that with every 360° turn, new items would appear randomly and would always renew the possibilities. The roulette wheel had an incredible array of options, from swords and spears to even futuristic armaments. It was possible to get anything with luck enough.

Matthew was praying for a pistol to come out. Even though he had never used one before, he knew it would be very important in this kind of world. Especially if it were a futuristic pistol that could kill several monsters easily at once, it would be even better. He saw them in the roulette wheel, but with how random the weapon would appear, he couldn't guess which one would be chosen as his weapon later.

The roulette wheel started to slow down until it finally stopped spinning. Finally, Matthew saw his prize and didn't know if he had bad luck or big luck when he saw that the roulette wheel had stopped on a sword. Obviously not one of what he prayed for, but a sword was pretty good, too.

* Ding *

"Congratulation to the user for gaining an Uncommon grade weapon. Access your inventory to visualize the rarity, effects, and attributes of the weapon."

Matthew automatically thought of the [INVENTORY] option and then a square box with several slots available and one used by a sword appeared before his vision. Matthew soon focused his gaze on the sword and with that came a blue screen with details about the sword.

[SWORD OF LIGHT]

[GRADE: UNCOMMON]

[EFFECTS]

Piercing Damage +15

Cutting Damage +10

[SKILLS]

Blind: Release a flash of light that temporarily blinds enemies around.

* WARNING: SKILL ONLY HAVE EFFECT ON BEINGS THAT YOUR MAIN SENSORY ORGAN IS THE VISION. *

Light Ki: From the top of the sword a beam of light jumps that is able to pierce iron armor easily.

Matthew laughed, celebrating the immense fate of realizing that his sword had its own abilities and then cursed himself for his damn stupidity. What if some zombies had listened to him? He would really invite trouble for himself if he wasn't careful enough. Soon he calmed down and asked the system:

"System, what are the grade of weapons exist?"

* Ding* "The rank of weapons, skill and armor are made in the following order from the lowest to the greatest: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mystic, and Supreme."

Matthew frowned as he had a big question in his head and asked the system:

"Actually, I really want to know something. How are the monsters formed? They seem to have come out of nowhere."

* Ding *

"All monsters are produced from the evolution of men and animals. Zombies, for example, are the humans who died during the activation of the system, out of curiosity 65% of the world population died during system activation."

Matthew furrowed his eyebrows again as he wondered how many people had died. Suddenly, he thought about his parents and fear started to fill his heart. Matthew was afraid to go to his parents, only to find out that they were dead, or if he continued in this rhythm and all humanity was extinguished. Matthew was frightened by these possibilities and decided to stop thinking about it. He needed to stay positive about his parents, that they were still alive back in Dallas. For now, he needed to stay alive. Putting the terrifying thought aside, he started rolling the roulette again, this time the one in the [SKILLS].
