The tiny lady looked past the man and saw a tall lady in rugged looking jeans and sports jacket. She looked like she just went out for a morning walk as evidenced by her sports shoes and cap. Besides the folder she was holding, her small hand bag looked ordinary.
"Yes, we needed some personnel. What position are you applying for?" the lady asked trying not to hide her indifference.
"Here, I'm submitting my resume'. I'm applying for the ticket teller one. Im also willing to be assigned to any of your branches ma'am." Daryle answered.
The man stood aside as he put his hands on the edge of the lady's table and leaned on his hand making himself slanted as he hooked his other leg to the other. He studied this tall lady who just came in.
"Sir Vince, you might want to interview her now?" the tiny lady turned to the man playing with his chin.
"What does her resume' say?" He asked back as he straightened up.
Daryle noted the tiny lady addressed this man as sir Vince. 'He must be holding a high position in this very big company!' she thought.
The lady quickly scanned the set of papers in her hand. "A fresh education graduate. Ahhh...graduated as suma cum laude Highland University." the lady answered.
"Suma Cum Laude, Education graduate. " Vince minced the words he heard. He looked at Daryle curiously and continued. "Please take your seat first. Ms..." As he gestured his left hand to the left side where there were three monoblocks behind Daryle.
"Thank you sir. " She said as she slowly sat down.
Vince took the swivel chair infront of the lady behind the table. He took the folder from the lady and scanned it for about a minute.
"Ms. Daryle Duran, are you sure you are applying for this ticketing job?" he asked as he put down the folder on his lap.
"I just needed something to do while doing my self review for the examination sir. If you would be gracious to accept my application, Id be grateful." She said truthfully.
"So you don't plan to work long term in this company if you're hired." Vince asked.
"That depends upon the environment, sir. But I like meeting new people everyday. " She said without giving much thought. She just thought she didn't need to be so intelligent when all she wanted was to distract herself from past memories.
"Where did you come from?" Vince looked at her attire and cannot hide his curiosity. 'This lady looks gorgeous already wearing this rugged outfit, how much more if she dresses properly.' his mind thought while his eyes wandered over her outfit.
Daryle saw the curious and intimidating gazes of this man in front of her as she felt confused of what to say.
"Sir, my address is in my resume' too. All my personal information is there including my contact number." She said not hiding annoyance. She didn't feel comfortable at how this man looked at her.
"I know, I already read them" Vince said as he raised the folder from his lap. "I meant, where have you come just now? Did you just arrive from a trip or just stppped by from morning jogging?" He asked with a sly smile on his lips.
Daryle didn't know whether to laugh or frown hearing him speak with a sarcastic smile. "I'm sorry sir but I just came to buy some review materials. I just stopped downstairs to take a seat when I saw the ad. I didn't know that I will be interviewd this instant." She said. She did not need to make up good stories just to impress these people. She just let circumstances be.
"Okay, when can you start?" Vince asked. He saw that this lady didn't have anything to hide. Maybe he can just give her a six months probation. After all, she's young, beautiful, bright, and educated. It will be a waste to confine her inside a ticket booth. He decided to hire her and think later on what he will do for her.
" Am I hired sir?" Daryle asked as she smiled not so confidently.
"Maybe I'll give you six months probation. Then it will be all up to you after that." He said. "So when can you start? Cause I need to arrange some people to assist you." He added.
"I can start immediately" She said excitedly.
"Okay come tomorrow at nine o'clock in the morning. Report to Larry at room 320 for your orientation first." Vince told her then turned to the lady at the opposite side if the table.
"She's hired. Make the note and forward this to Larry. She'll start immediately." Vince said as he placed down the folder on the table. The lady glanced at Daryle and gave a quick smile.
"Welcome to VinTranCo Ms. Duran." She said.
Daryle stood up and gave a slight bow. "Thank you," She said as she smiled sweetly. Vince was still seated. 'This lady is such a beauty.!' She was at par beautiful than his stalking girlfriend.
