Toby had always considered himself to be extremely luck, maybe not in all aspects but he thought for the most part that he shouldn't complain. He wasn't extremely muscular but by no means could he be considered overweight even in the slightest, he just had the look of a person that wasn't rock hard but wants a bowl of pudding. His light blue eyes seems to have nothing but a craving for knowledge in them and he had a desperate need to find out every detail of something that interested him. He also didn't have a single hair on his face a trait that was extremely uncommon in most of the teenagers around his age, that though was more than likely due to the fact that he had a bathroom routine that took more time than the average teenage girl in the bathroom to make sure that he had an acceptable appearance to go out in public.
Then there was his family, they lived in a multimillion dollar penthouse, in one of the most sought after building in the city's skyline. He grew up never needing or wanting a single thing whether it be was money, food or any material item that any person could think of. Most people wouldn't hesitate to call him apart of the elite one percent but not just of the country but of the world.
All of this could be the reason that he had begun to hate his seemingly perfect life. Every day he awoke to several housekeepers cleaning the entire house from top to bottom, due to his mother words that cleaning was "below her". He also had a car service to take him to anywhere and everywhere he wanted, even to the extremely elite private school that was only several blocks down the road. In fact the only the hardest part of the day for Toby was figuring out which pair of twenty five hundred dollar loafers he was going to wear for the day.
Even the thought of something that couldn't be solved for him gave him a headache. This isn't to say that he was stupid it was just due to him never being trusted to do anything for himself. He had craved a challenge for several years but he just couldn't imagine what one was like due to never been in that situation.
That wasn't a surprise to anyone to anyone thought, he had an overbearing mother who had been born into enough money that it couldn't be spent in a dozen lifetimes and a father who came from a very old blooded line of money that seemed to made him near royalty in school to the fact that before his untimely death his father had left an incredibly large endowment to the school to insure that Tobi's family that could always return there and receive the education that he had thought should be guaranteed to them.
His mother was a new generation of money that had been around for only around the time that she had slightly longer than she had been born for. That didn't stop here from being completely different that Toby's father, she had gotten married simply because it suited her and make her social standing grow past where he family had been. She had even had a child during a period in her marriage that Toby's father had almost left her due to a lack of passion or intimacy. Toby knew all of the of course due to his mother being forever at arms lengths emotionally.
The odd thing was no matter what they Toby's family issues were never seemed to bother him. He didn't even seemed to be bothered by his father death, it wasn't completely pout of the ordinary for the rich to die young but it was common place for their families to drag on the mourning period for year on end. Toby on the other hand never seemed to mourn the death as if anything he didn't seemed to be affected at all. That didn't seem to bother anyone that Toby knew, due to him being distant to the vast majority of people anyway.
None of this seemed is to say that he was anything other any normal considering everything that he had created an out of the ordinary situation for the any child who was raised like him. The only thing that he had was his extraordinary charisma. He had the ability to make the people that he had only just meet to want to jump in the way of a bullet for him, he was just able to manipulate to get people to do anything that he had wanted. He never did like to do anything like that though he just didn't seem to be interested in making people do anything that they didn't want to. This was all caused by his father always telling him that he should always take the moral high ground so there wouldn't ever be any problems with the stance that he would have.
Although none of this has anything to do with the situation that Tobi now finds himself. He is standing on the edge of his penthouse's balcony looking out over the edge with numerous thoughts running through his head.
